Why not include Nige in the poll, he wins out with a two thirds to three quarters in polls where asked if he should stay or go, but it might be different against names options.

Solskjaer from that list for me, I'd say that even if NP was an option.

RDM. lol

The rest ain't a patch on NP.

I agree with cc_star (as per usual). NP should have been an option and we could have voted if we wanted our NEXT manager to be our CURRENT manager.

Which poll are you referring to? It was 60-40 against him staying in Mercury back when we were in the play-offs, and 60-40 in favour on here, but I'm yet to see a two thirds vote in his favour, among those conducted in recent weeks. I do agree, though, that it would be interesting to see how he fares in this poll. There are a lot of alarmingly staunch Pearson-backers on here, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few stubbornly claim that in an ideal world they'd still prefer Pearson to O'Neill.

Solskjaer? Scandinavian managers have often struggled in English football, especially those with no experience elsewhere. And I'm not sure he's doing too well over there right now either.

And O'Neill (our best ever manager, champions in Scotland, a history of success in the top flight, three separate promotions to his name, one of the most respected bosses in the game) and Di Matteo (winner of promotion from this league, European champion, FA Cup winner) aren't a patch on NP (one-time winner of promotion from League One)?

That's quite a claim!

Out of those names I wouldn't be happy with Keane, Hughes or McClaren. I'd give OGS and Warnock a chance, and welcome the others with no problems. I'd prefer Pearson, though.

You are obviously on acid...or a wind up.

Glenn Hoddle. I expect some stick for that but I honestly think he's got a lot about him.

I'd take O'Neill if he's with Robertson.

Honestly don't think Powell would come here.

Wouldn't be too popular with the disabled fans!

Out of that list I went for Di matteo but we've got no chance!

Powell and Berner dream team? lol

It's curious to see that 50% of people on here would prefer one of...

Lennon (no experience in this league... remember our last high-flying Scottish import?)

McClaren (a disaster at Forest, Wolfsburg and England, never promoted from this league)

Solskjaer (struggling in Norway right now, would be the latest in an up-to-now almost exclusively unsuccessful of arrivals from Scandinavian football)

Warnock (failed with Palace and Leeds, three promotions from this league in something like 14 attempts)

or Powell (never promoted from this league, took two years to do it from League One with Charlton)

...over our most successful manager ever or the current Champions League and FA Cup holder.

Or as already stated, they think he wouldn't come here in a million years and consider it a wasted vote.

So is it a poll on who we want, or who we think will be Leicester manager? it's probably my fault for missing something important, but is this 'who would we prefer' / 'who do we expect' / 'who is the best realistic appointment'? That's the difference between O' Neill, Hughes and Lennon.

DiMatteo would be a lovely choice IMO.

An advocate of slick football, keeping the ball on the floor and getting it forward to feet quickly.

He's got a very impressive CV, still young and eager to succeed and has won a Champions League in recent times.

It beggars belief and again shows how crackers some of the people on this forum are to not want a manager such as this at Leicester City.

I really do wonder where some of you are coming from.

O'Neill or RDM for me col

Did CC Star REALLY say that neither O'Neil nor RDM are a patch on Pearson? I know he seems to love Nige but that's ridiculous!

I was tempted to vote for McClaren just so that I could see him turn into a chav for his first interview....

This poll is a bit like asking a 10 year-old what he would like for Christmas ..... and then offering a choice of a) The moon b) A piece of coal c) A remote-controlled toy car. Most 10 year olds have worked out that they probably aren't going to get the moon. They definitely know that a piece of coal is a crap prezzy (at least, in the Western world .... and assuming you're not a pensioner). Which only leaves one sensible option ! Work out for yourself who falls into which category !! Warnock is my remote controlled car ! (Although, he might turn out to be more Ford Focus than Ferrari) !!

Agreed. Most pointless poll ever....

From who is currently available and would possibly consider managing a mid-table club where the money has already been spent and the squad requires significant development ..... I think he would be a sensible choice. Passionate, competent, knows the game inside out and would make sure we didn't disgrace ourselves too much ! Some people don't like him because he said what many people, (including many Leicester fans), were thinking around the time of our admin period. As a championship manager, he ticks most boxes for me.

These threads are so irritating. Pearson is our manager and may well continue to be so. Let's not worry about our next manager until we don't have one...

Only have to wait untill Saturday then. :D
