HCAFC Ryan Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Hi guys, i'm here to ask your views on Kasper Schmeichel. Is he good enough for the Prem? There is mounting speculation that he is joining us, although earlier today this guy tweeted saying he has opened contract negotiations > https://twitter.com/ProfuseFootball/status/336573941801963520 I see he has a fair few followers, do any of you know if he is reliable or not? Anyway I hope you guys come up next season, Pearson did a decent job for us, but did himself no favours in the way he handled the transition back to Leicester. The God Emperor Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 He's a good shot stopper but his kicking and his weakness with dealing with crosses lets him down. I think he may struggle in the prem at first but with some good coaching he could be a good prem keeper
Libertine Dream Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 The local paper reported it the other day I think
The Year Of The Fox Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Good keeper, earnt us many a point this season
Vardinhio Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Will undoubtedly get to the prem one way or another but no offence I can't see it being with Hull this time around. He has a young family and is settled here, I believe he would only leave us for an established outfit as long term we are still a decent prospect in terms of providing him with premier league footy. Not sure if he has opened negotiations though, he's in reality probablu sunning himself abroad.
Lambert09 Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 He's the best keeper we have had since flowers... he is more then good enough and constantly improving. Whoever signs him is getting a gem. People slate his kicking a lot, but if used correctly it is a mighty asset.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 It would be handy for us if different divisions didn't exist. Imagine if every team in the world played in one big league. None of our players would ever go to Hull.
ealingfox Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 I should hope that we won't be doing any business with Hull.
Yojoe36 Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 None of our players would ever go to Hull. Apart from Fryatt, Hobbs and Waghorn on a loan.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Best 'keeper we've had since Walker. Will be sad to see him go but feel it's inevitable.
Craig Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 I didn't think Hull City wanted to conduct any business with us?

nickyboy Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Deservedly voted best goalie in the championship last year, the shot stopping was fantastic and without him we would have dropped a good few points this year As for can he cut it in the prem, i really cant see why not...plus he does have prem experience when he was at man city inc a game against manure Saying all that i hope he stays as i cant see us getting a better replacement i
Callabinho Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Any free kicks from 20 yards or so, it's a goal. He's a great shot stopper, reactions are quality. But he flaps at corners, doesn't take control of set plays well, and sometimes makes rash decisions. £4 mill and he's yours!
AKCJ Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Wonder who started that fake tweet from Schmeichel.... I saw him saying he was hacked, but what was posted?
Leicester Lass Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Anyone who thinks this person is reliable, their next tweet was along the lines of 'Huge fire at Ricoh, firefighters struggling to tackle the blaze'. Despite people having already said on twitter the 'fire' was actually pyrotechnics.

Really? 20 yards can count numerous times he's saved freekicks from that range this season.
AKCJ Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Really? 20 yards can count numerous times he's saved freekicks from that range this season. I can't think of a freekick (off the top of my head) that we've conceded with him in goal
Langley Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 I see he has a fair few followers, do any of you know if he is reliable or not? Because you totally can't just buy followers for £10...
ealingfox Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Really? 20 yards can count numerous times he's saved freekicks from that range this season. Think he means goals conceded from balls whipped in from a close-range free-kick rather than conceded directly from a free-kick.
ADK Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 Schmeichels a great keeper at this level. Not sure if he'd be good enough for the prem. Standard of keepers is pretty high atm.

Fox92 Posted 20 May 2013 Share Posted 20 May 2013 He is decent, nothing more. You could probably find a better goalkeeper in Europe.
