Guest MattP Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 I'm waiting for the inevitable "kick all immigrants out" etc. Even though both the assailants were born in London. Why? No one has said it in twenty pages.
lavrentis Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 The family press conference was tough viewing. Such a sad loss of life.
z-layrex Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 What scares me is how unshocked everyone is (myself included). What's happening to us?
Captain... Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 What scares me is how unshocked everyone is (myself included). What's happening to us? Speak for yourself, I think many people are pretty shocked by this, as others have said more so than 7/7, it is shocking and it will have long lasting consequences.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 Ban any religion that's got the word jihad in it. You are aware that every religion has extremists right? I'm pretty sure most christians don't support the Westboro Baptist Church do in the name of God, just like most muslims don't support the acts of yesterday.
MooseBreath Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 Speak for yourself, I think many people are pretty shocked by this, as others have said more so than 7/7, it is shocking and it will have long lasting consequences. Yeah, I'm not sire it has even sunk in properly yet. Those images of the guy talking to the camera with blood soaked knives in his hand will live long in the national memory. What strikes me most about this is the unabashed brutality. Usually with terrorist attacks there's a degree of separation between the terrorist and his victims - it's the bomb that kills. But this was totally different, a real physical, brutal, personal attack. It has got more shocking for me as time has gone on. I have to wonder whether Islam in the UK may struggle to survive in its current state after this. Also I wonder how normally relatively peaceful relations with black people are going to change. Whenever I've seen a black person in the last two days I've thought immediately of this attack. If that kind of association is common, there could be problems there to.

Its alright saying they don't support it after the event but they accepted those 2 nutters into their religion and im pretty sure that Christian religions in this country don't brainwash their followers to go on suicide missions.

I'm pretty sure most christians don't support the Westboro Baptist Church do in the name of God, just like most muslims don't support the acts of yesterday. Which is why religion should be banned! Everything else seems to be being banned over time. It's all a myth whatever religion, the sooner people/belivers realise that the better. Religion is the root of all evil. It wouldn't solve all the war, arguments or problems in the world and i'm not claiming it would, but it would certainly causing alot less, war, arguments, racism and problems.

Supporters of westboro don't walk around sawing people's heads of as they walk along the street.I really hope the religious element of this doesn't get swept under the carpet. This week alone we've had Muslim peadophile gangs and now brutal Muslim murderers. How much more can we take before we say enough is enough.

Pretty much agree with the majority of that. Supporters of westboro don't walk around sawing people's heads of as they walk along the street. Totally agree with what you say, religion has always been used by rulers to suppress the lower classes and poor people.

You don't get 'accepted' into a religion, you choose to believe in it. In this country no, but remember a certain Joseph Kony and his 'Lord's Resistance Army'?

I really hope the religious element of this doesn't get swept under the carpet. This week alone we've had Muslim peadophile gangs and now brutal Muslim murderers. How much more can we take before we say enough is enough. Can we please make the distinction between these attacks, and other atrocities in the name of Islam, and these "Muslim" paedophile gangs. There are many paedophiles and other sick twisted individuals from all religions and walks of life, Savile, Fritzl, Aerial Castro (Cleveland Abductions), Mick Philpott, all raised in Christian countries (yet no mention of their religious backgrounds) not to mention the scandals involving the Catholic Church. Sick people do sick things, and these paedophiles, who happened to be Muslims, did not shout Allah Akbar as they raped kids, they didn't do it for religious reasons in the same way those above didn't do what they did for religious reasons, they did it because they are sick fvcks, but this should not be tied in with violent acts committed in Allah's name as part of this "War on Terror", even though condemned by the Muslim communities.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 So why do they give you a new name then, and why do catholics get confirmed. rituals of acceptance. valid point, but I doubt they fill out a mental health questionnaire.

Father Ted Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 Has anybody else read about Choudary who claims to have been the murderers' leader? Yet he still walks free in this country. Is this a joke? When will somebody grow some bollocks and grab these people?

Was wanting to make a similar point, but was toiling over the right way of putting it without seeming to be an apologist and you've done it better than I would have done. You'll still be accused of being an apologist though. EDIT: would like to say that I wrote the above before seeing Mousebreath's reply
yorkie1999 Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 valid point, but I doubt they fill out a mental health questionnaire. From what i've read and seen, this pair weren't mental physco's before they became muslims.

MooseBreath Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 He's nothing if not predictable. Could say the same about you. Seriously, after years of Muslim peado gangs, you're still afraid to come to terms with that fact that young white girls are seen as meat to be used and abused by some Muslims, and that explains why groups of brothers, cousins and best friends get together in the open and make plans for raping white kids? You still flat out refuse to see that as a Muslim cultural problem?
Captain... Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 This is exactly the kind of limp wristed, self hating, apologetic sweeping under the carpet that I would hope we can avoid. As I am bored today I will humour you. I am not sweeping anything under the carpet, I am making 2 distinctions: 1. Militant Islamists with a hatred against the West who want to punish the west/destroy its way of live/promote the cause of Islam through extremism and violent acts. 2. Paedophilia and abuse of children in all its guises, protecting children from the dangers of being abused and groomed, whether by Catholic Priests, Muslim sex gangs or Eighties celebrities. Both are serious problems affecting the world today, solving one will not solve the other so they should be treated differently and not lumped together.
MooseBreath Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 If it were up to me I'd take all of our military out of Muslim countries, withdraw support for any America attacks on Muslim countries, and remove all Muslims from this country. Just have nothing, whatsoever, to do with the cvnts. They are like a deranged psycho you're better off just staying away from.
