Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 They've got nothing to get excited about at all at Villa Park, just weekly defeats and disappointment. Not that it takes much for Villa fans to get on their teams' cases. Maybe being in a cup competition would help cure the boredom.
Corky Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 Maybe being in a cup competition would help cure the boredom. Nah, cup run = certain relegation.
Soar Fox Posted 13 January 2014 Posted 13 January 2014 There's something I really don't like about watching matches at Villa Park. I'm not sure if it's their frustratingly dull side or the terrible atmosphere, or the fact that Villa fans seem really miserable and angry at their team or the ref all the while. Or maybe it's their kit, or the ugly colour of the stadium where the patches of empty seats are, or the fact everyone is sitting down. I don't know but it hurts my head watching it, like when matches at Stamford Bridge are on. Or the fact that you are a miserable cvnt?
Dan Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 On the Tiote decision - it's yet another that's come down to a pretty grey area rule (a bit like persistent standing, if you like) where there's nothing really definitive. I think Newcastle have every right to be aggrieved but I can see why he's disallowed it. I'd laugh if Pardew got sacked. Absolute joke of a man.
Dan Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 To be honest I have really enjoyed watching Liverpool this season, when they have been on.They look so good on the attack and Suarez love him or hate him is the best striker in the world at the moment. Agree. Probably my favourite side to watch in the Premier this season. I think the Premier's improved this year. Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton have all got better in my opinion.
Leicesterpool Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Maybe being in a cup competition would help cure the boredom. To be honest it's been a bleak ten years for the Villa, take out the MON years not alot has happened. Cross between bad ownership and lack of ambition plus s h i t managers.
Kitchandro Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Or the fact that you are a miserable cvnt? Nah, it's definitely Villa.

Dan Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 What about Southampton? Them as well but I was mainly talking about the top sides. As well, Man Utd/Spurs have definitely got worse. But I think the Premier League's been a lot better this time around although I'm still not convinced we have a team in the top three in the world.
Leicesterpool Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I tell you what though, you'd never have thought Man Utd struggling to qualify for europe. Moyes is turning Man U into Everton!

I don't think Chelsea/City/Arsenal are too far off in all honesty. I suppose we'll soon find out with how they fare in the Champions League.
Corky Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Everton have brought in £39 million from selling Fellaini, Jelavic and Anichebe. Not bad business that.
Uncle Albert Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Yeah that isn't bad business at all, Jelavic and Fellaini did cost them £23million mind, so again Moyes did spend money at Everton, love it when people say he had no money with them,
MC Prussian Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I tell you what though, you'd never have thought Man Utd struggling to qualify for europe. Moyes is turning Man U into Everton! It's a really fair comparison between Everton, where he lasted eleven years and built a very potent and talented side, making shrewd signings and quite a tidy profit and a side he just recently took over, a somewhat ageing squad oversaturated from previous successes, a team on the downslide. Haha, but I get it - you're only joking.
Fox92 Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I tell you what though, you'd never have thought Man Utd struggling to qualify for europe. Moyes is turning Man U into Everton! He's also inherited a poor squad. Said it all along. Without Van Persie and Rooney, they are 'average'.
Leicesterpool Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 He's also inherited a poor squad. Said it all along. Without Van Persie and Rooney, they are 'average'. There's going to be a lot changes in the summer I could see Rooney, Ferdinand, Young, Nani, Anderson, Giggs, Valencia & Hernandez all leaving! It will be interesting to see who Moyes can attract to Man U!?
Fox92 Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 I doubt he has the attraction and authority Fergie had, but as a club Manchester United should be an attraction to most players. One of the biggest clubs in the World, massive ground, compete in Europe etc
Uncle Albert Posted 14 January 2014 Posted 14 January 2014 Arsenal v Fulham Man City v Cardiff Chelsea v Man United Liverpool v Aston Villa West Brom v Everton Swansea v Spurs I know it's all ifs and maybes but this weekend is another terrible weekend set of fixtures for Man United. You would think all of the teams above them in the League should win this weekend, maybe Spurs and Everton could slip up but both of them slipping up is slim and if they slip up as such I can still see one of them getting a point. If Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Everton and Spurs all win.. United could be 7th 6 points behind 6th and 14 points behind Arsenal. Wow.
MC Prussian Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Nemanja Matic returns to Chelsea… for £21m once more - the same fee paid by Porto in 2011. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25743128
Father Ted Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Nemanja Matic returns to Chelsea… for £21m once more - the same fee paid by Porto in 2011. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25743128 I've seen a lot of him since he left Chelsea and he's matured a hell of a lot. Will certainly be that defensive midfielder that Chelsea have been lacking.
Corky Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 Southampton in crisis? Cortese leaves, with Liebherr's daughter (who has no interest in football) running the club. However, Pochettino said last year he would leave if Cortese did, and plenty of players have said how influential and ambitious Cortese was/is, could be real upheaval at St Marys.
The God Emperor Posted 15 January 2014 Posted 15 January 2014 just when you start to think that a different team from the usual has a chance of succeeding in the premiership.....
