Fox92 Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Used the last of my Betfred account money (£1.50) to put on my first ever in play of Adebayor first goalscorer at 5/1. And he's just scored ... 1-0 Spurs, Sherwood having a good time as a manager so far.
RowlattsFox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Looking at the Swansea side and bench, you realise how average it really is. Realy missing Michu.
Danno Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Really dont think Swansea are as good as people make them out to be. Passing it backwards and sideways might be ok, but they are really pretty shite without Michu.
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I like how Sky were going on about Swansea relying on Bony, like he's Suarez at Liverpool or something! He's only started 10 league games, played 18 in total and scored 7 goals. He's hardly prolific and hardly dragging them out the shit all by himself. I think he's looked unplayable at times, but then like he's never played football before at others.
Dan Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Don't forget they compete in Europe as well. You can't really blame that on their recent form though (ignoring the cup win at OT) They've become genuine relegation candidates. Something's really missing from them this season.
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 You can't really blame that on their recent form though (ignoring the cup win at OT) They've become genuine relegation candidates. Something's really missing from them this season. Michu has missed large parts of the season. I think they miss De Guzman too, not sure if he's injured, but don't think he's played for while.
RowlattsFox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Lack of support for bony is there biggest problem, he's on his own in the box half the time. Do Swansea only have 2 strikers? Bony and an injured michu, shite management to go into a season with 2 strikers if so.
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Man Utd now 4 points off 6th and are likely to stay like that after playing Chelsea.
One Legged Beaver Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 The United line up is possibly the worst I've witnessed in a league game in my lifetime. On paper they simply look outclassed in every area of the pitch by the Chelsea XI and I only think De Gea could possibly make a case for getting into a mixed XI between the two. Although saying that the game isn't played on paper, still expect Chelsea to win comfortably mind you.
Stadt Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I don't rate Man U's back line at all, their midfield aren't very impressive and their forwards are injury prone. Which makes me happy Man U 'fans' now know what it's like to be a proper football fan.
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Chelsea 1 Man Utd 0 Eto'o via a huge deflection off Carrick.
Matt Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Chelsea 2 - 0 Man Utd. Excellent. Moyes, soon, surely?
MC Prussian Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 There will be many, many younger Manchester United fans learning what "mediocre" means now.
Jimothy Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Why do they keep making out Man Utd have no other option but the play Janazaj off Welbeck? They have Kagawa on the bench for starters. They could have played the same formation as Chelsea with a three behind Welbeck of Janazaj, Kagawa and Young.
Unabomber Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Chelsea 2 - 0 Man Utd. Excellent. Moyes, soon, surely? They won't be sacking him.
purpleronnie Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I'm sure with VP and Rooney fit for the whole season they would be doing much better.
Dan Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Moyes has got in at exactly the wrong time IMO. I think that they'd be struggling for the top four no matter who was in charge with that squad. I'm not saying Moyes has done a good job, but the cynic in me thinks that Fergie retired because he knew this side wasn't going to near the title this season. Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool & Chelsea were all going to improve. I think Man Utd need a huge overhaul next season of their squad because a lot of them are nowhere near good enough.
Matt Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 They won't be sacking him. If they get knocked out the CL I think there's a chance. Also i'm getting abit bored of people saying 'It's an old team', yes they are but they still shouldn't be doing this bad, they won the league last season, quite well, you could argue there wasn't that much of a challenge but you don't go from winning a league to just above mid-table, besides its the signing Moyes has made/who he's being linked with that I can't work out. He did a great job at Everton, can't take that away from him, but I can't help thinking that's his level, not sure he can handle it at the very top, with a big club.
21st Century Fox Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 I'm sure with VP and Rooney fit for the whole season they would be doing much better. For them to stay fit they'd have to have better players around them anyway. Their lack of depth and lack of other game changing players has meant they've over-relied on them and risked playing them when they're coming back from injury. That and apparently Moyes' training methods are detrimental to VP's fitness.
Unabomber Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 If they get knocked out the CL I think there's a chance.I think they'll give him till the end if next season at least.
Leicesterpool Posted 19 January 2014 Posted 19 January 2014 Moyes job is safe, i think he's at least got another year. With Fergie working behind the scenes he won't let the board sack him is so early.
