ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Anyone else think Chelsea will do liverpool at anfield and go on to win the league? that was always going to happen. i thought it would be due to city slipping up at everton tbf, not at home to sunderland, but they were going to slip up. and chelsea and liverpool were going to win 3 of their last 4 each. and one of them is going to win at anfield. going to be huge.
Grandad. Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 I'd actually play exactly the same 4-4-2 diamond as Liverpool, with Rooney and Sturridge up front. Rooney as Suarez (stop laughing), Lallana as Coutinho, Baines as an enormous improvement on Flanagan, Cahill and Jagielka at centre back, Hart in goal. Everybody is agreed that England are shit, the players are shit and we've got no chance, but Liverpool could conceivably win the league with a side that is better in just 1 position (Suarez for Rooney) than England. You aren't seriously suggesting that Lallana is better than Coutinho, surely? That is absurd. Anyway, I just hope Sunderland have kept a bit in the tank tonight for Chelsea on Saturday. Will Jose rest a few ahead of the Champions League? People are still saying Mourinho is the master of getting a win in the big game, fair enough, there's proof in the pudding BUT coming to Anfield right now isn't as easy as people think, Mourinho HAS to win that game, obviously not if we slip up at Norwich but as it stands they HAVE to win. This is in the middle of two Champions League semi final ties that are huge for Mourinho's ego. Tonight's result means nothing for Liverpool if we don't win on Sunday, absolutely nothing. Win, we go 9 points clear of City and stay a minimum of two points clear of Chelsea. Daring to dream.
ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 i hope liverpool win it tbf but i can see jose 'masterminding' something. probably a dodgy one nil whilst playing no strikers. whatever happens he is going to have an absolute field day in the press with chelsea playing 2 champs league games and liverpool away in a week whilst letting everyone know liverpool haven't played a european game for over a year so they cannot be tired.

Liverpool not scoring? Unheard of mate. Not happened since September I don't think mate.
ScouseFox Posted 16 April 2014 Posted 16 April 2014 Liverpool not scoring? Unheard of mate. Not happened since September I don't think mate. haha true. all good things come to an end though... man city had scored in 33 games in a row including a 7, two 6s, four 5s and five 4 goal hauls before they played chelsea at home too though. jose knows the score more often than not, will be fascinating for neutrals to see if he's got an answer for this liverpool side at anfield.

I can't emphasis enough how important it is for us to win on Sunday with them going into these two Champions League ties are going to be, if Chelsea can stay in the tie next Tuesday in Madrid then I really don't know what kind of side he is going to put out v us on the Sunday to then play Atletico on the Wednesday in a crucial Semi-Final second leg. Rodgers shouldn't be discarded in a tactical battle, Rodgers can be like Rafa in setting up in one off games, I am confident in Rodgers. Anfield is going to be electric now, you thought last Sunday was loud, the Chelsea game will be unreal. We will start that game like a house on fire! Think City, United, Arsenal and Everton, that is what it will be like, we could kill them in 20 minutes if they sit back.

Guest Col city fan Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Chelsea will win the league, I fear.. But Liverpool will never have a better shout than now..
foxfanazer Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Liverpool V Chelsea is MASSIVE! Can't wait. Can just see Chelsea nicking it

Neither is close to being world class but both are very good footballers.
bovril Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Plenty of twists and turns yet. I can see Chelsea winning at Anfield but Liverpool still winning the league. Man City don't seem to have the resolve at the moment.

Dan Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Don't under-estimate Mourinho though in a game like that. I hope Liverpool do it but I've got a feeling it has Man City v Chelsea written all over it. Liverpool can afford to draw with Chelsea now though which is good for them, of course providing they win their other games. Such a boring club these days. Finish 4th by the skin of their teeth and think it's an achievement. They can't resist fvcking up the Cup final though, surely..... If they were offered the FA Cup or 'Champions' League qualification I think I'm quite confident in saying they'd opt for the latter. How sad.
Grandad. Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 I'm not underestimating Mourinho, we need to win on Sunday before even thinking of Chelsea and they need to beat Sunderland!
Dan Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 You'd fancy Chelsea/Liverpool wins all day long but you can't tell nowadays. No-one, literally no-one will have called last nights two results. Amazing. This has been the best Premier League in years.

theessexfox Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Manager of the season... Rodgers? Pulis? Bruce? Martinez? Obviously there's a few games left in which anything could happen, but what is everyone thinking?
Guest MattP Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Can't see Liverpool or Chelsea slipping up but thatjust ddoesn't seem to happen nowadays. Bound to be another twist or turn. What about Liverpool 3-4 Newcastle on the last day? That would be the ultimate ironic revenge
Grandad. Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Don't even put thoughts like that into my head, I can't handle my nerves for Sunday already.
Haydos Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 The new Arsenal? To go under the same definition of 'doing an Arsenal'. It was theirs for the taking, Arsenal have gained Champions League football tonight. Undeserved congratulations in order I guess. Your obsession with Arsenal is weird. You remind me of Forest fans always talking about how little they care about us, but obviously the other way round.
kingcarr21 Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 coutinho or lallana? Very difficult but i think i would have to go for coutinho (just). If Liverpool win the league then Rodgers is manager of the season hands down. If not then i would have to say Martinez but only if they make top 4. If neither of them happen then Pulis has to take it. He has turned that team into a well organised unit with i believe the 2nd best defence after Chelsea. Also his work with Puncheon has turned him into a fantastic player. suarez will go into the Norwich game knowing he can score for fun and i reckon he will smash them again. Nice that Liverpool can afford to draw to Chelsea now and win remaining games and still win the league. Mattp that final day result would be amazing to watch
kingcarr21 Posted 17 April 2014 Posted 17 April 2014 Cardiff City: Crystal Palace result should not stand, says Welsh club By David Bond BBC sports editor Cardiff's 3-0 defeat by Crystal Palace in early April should not be allowed to stand, the Welsh club has said in a five-page letter seen by the BBC. The document, sent by club lawyers to the Premier League, alleges Palace boss Tony Pulis knew sporting director Iain Moody was trying to obtain Cardiff's starting line-up before the game. The club claims it has proof Moody succeeded and says this breaches league rules. Pulis declined to comment when contacted by the BBC, although Palace previously denied the claims. Cardiff states that clubs should act in good faith to one another and calls into serious question the integrity of the match. The club says Crystal Palace cheated and wants the Premier League to take serious action. Palace won 3-2 at Everton on Wednesday to climb to 11th in the table, on 40 points, a figure Pulis says is enough to ensure their Premier League survival. Do you guys think he has a point?. Or are Cardiff just trying to make excuses before they're relegated??

Cardiff are a joke, I cannot wait until they are relegated back down and hope they carry on falling, there worse than Sheff Utd when Colin was in charge. They lost a game not slightly they lost 3-0, it's not hard to know a teams starting 11 just do a little research. Joke
