I am Rod Hull Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Went for a quick shower before the kick off and missed the opening try...
Bert Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Tremendous amount of love for Halfpenny. Man of the series by far.
ozleicester Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Fvck, just checked my bet... and forgot to confirm, so my 9/1 Lions by more than 11 is gone.. grrr
MPH Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 so I pulled in baby duty at 6am this morning ' so my wife can sleep in' Kudos points for me Co-incidentally the game started at 6am over here and its been a cracking game... couple of cracking tries here in the 2nd half!!! LOVE IT!
ACF Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Cracking game, forgot to post pictures of the Rebels game, will do later!
MPH Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Gatland is a Kiwi isn't he? This will be especially enjoyable for him!
deejdeej Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 That was superb, twinged with a bit of sadness that the Welsh will be claiming it was 'their' victory. But hey I'm just being bitter and Gatland's team choice is justified. Now time for a few... Dozen beers in this sunshine
bmt Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Unbelievable performance, so pleased for the lads. Halfpenny is unbelievable. Well done to Gatland for making a huge shout and getting it right,
MPH Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 It could be argued that Halfpenny has had a greater impact than any other kicker.. Including Wilkinson. I mean.... an 89% success rate from kicks... in a pressure cooker competition such as a Lions tour? that's just phenominal...
Super_horns Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Very impressive from the off - dominated in the scrum and so powerful going forward. Stuck 2 fingers up to the critics!
Johnny Cash Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Sexton absolutely dominated. O'Brien tackle count was phenominal.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 6 July 2013 Posted 6 July 2013 Well done to the Lions on their superb series win against the Aussies. Nice to see the latter destroyed as they were today. Really had them on their knees. Unbelievable performance, so pleased for the lads. Halfpenny is unbelievable. Well done to Gatland for making a huge shout and getting it right,
Finnegan Posted 7 July 2013 Author Posted 7 July 2013 It disappoints me that we've won our first series in years and a couple of people (albeit thankfully a minority) want to be bitter about it because the English weren't the majority. It doesn't matter where you come from, you pull on that shirt and you're just a Lion. If you can't get behind that you shouldn't be watching at all. I've spent years watching tours with almost no Welsh lads in the side when we were crap in the nineties and early naughties. It's just the flow of things. Massive effort from everyone to win down there. Been a great series.

purpleronnie Posted 7 July 2013 Posted 7 July 2013 Yeah. You look at all the players who come 6 nations are enemies but during this tour looked the best of buds. Great to see. But most were welsh so are probably related to one another.
Finnegan Posted 7 July 2013 Author Posted 7 July 2013 Yeah. You look at all the players who come 6 nations are enemies but during this tour looked the best of buds. Great to see. Yeah they are, that's why I don't like seeing supposed fans dividing over it. The players aren't, they're proud of the squad performance and we should be too. Adam Jones' blog on the BBC is really good for emphasizing that.

Threw a bit of banter (take not Kingfox) about in this thread, mainly aimed at a bite from yourself, but deep down I was always behind the lions. Been a decent sporting weekend for Britain.

Been a decent sporting weekend for Britain. Yeah those digs weren't aimed at you, I'm aware you're having a laf and we've had some good banter in the office. I've had a bit of stick and handed some out. But come game time we're all on the same side. The winning one.

If you're happy to give it out be prepared to take it back
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 July 2013 Posted 9 July 2013 Can't believe that Robbie Deans got the sack after Saturdays loss.
