Kasper A - Won us many points, kept us in games.

Logan  - Didn't play, so no mark.

De Laet B - A slow start but gradually became very consistent.

Moore C - A nice start for him, but his inexperience told, always someone that can be called upon.

Konch C - Had a very lazy start to the season, but had his share of good games.

Morgan A* -  Player of the season by a mile.

Keane B - Shown great potential and put in some outstanding individual performances.

SSL  C/D - Didn't play much due to injury but was part of one of our best runs.

Whitbread D - Didn't live up to what we were expecting.

King A - Had a fantastic season, so much work went un-noticed, scored some crucial goals for us.

Drinkwater C - A fantastic start scrubbed out by a shocking finish.

James B+  - Had he not been injured he'd be in the 'A' Bracket.

Wellens E - Didn't feature enough, but offered little when he was.

Gallagher E - See Wellens

Dyer B - Had somefrightening impact some games.

Knockaert A  - Moments of individual genius, cracking goals.

Marshall C - Very hit and miss.

Nugent B - Our top scorer, poor dip in form but came back to his best v Watford.

Wood B - Cracking start, faded towards the end.

Schlupp C - Versatility held him back at times. Nice burst at the end of the season.

Waghorn D - Had a few good games.

Vardy D - Shown so much early promise, but petered out very poorly.

Kane D - Did ok when played up front.

Not sure whether I've missed anyone, Of course Danns and Beckford but they didn't really feature.

Schmeichel: A- Has his flaws but has saved us many points this season and part of a solid defence until February

De Laet: B  Has had a solid season. For this division, he's a top right back, quick, strong, threatening offensively and solid defensively.

Moore: C  Harsh to mark him quite low but he's still a young lad and developing. Can't fault effort or commitment.

Morgan: A*  Player of the season. Rarely put a foot wrong.

St Ledger:  B  When he played without injury, he added some quality and composure to the backline.

Whitbread: C  Received a lot of unfair criticism from many. Some below average performances due to a lack of fitness. Animal in the air.

Keane:  C+  Our defensive record certainly took a hit when he was thrown in. Effort/Professionalism was excellent however.

Konchesky:  C  Biggest weak link in our defence, lacks pace and attacking guile.

Knockaert: A  Unfortunate in the way that his season ended, however, he showed glimpses of undoubted Premiership quality. Love the lad!

Marshall: C  Did a good job covering Konchesky through the winter months however seemed to lose his attacking prowess as the season wore on.

King: B  Solid season once again from Kingy

James: A-  Had we been celebrating promotion right now it would have been down to this man. His drive and urgency broke our bad spell and got us to the PO's.

Drinkwater:  B-  Had an excellent start to the season, was efficient and clever however his form dipped worryingly as he looked fatigued.

Dyer:  B-  Good old Lloydy put some shifts in once more but he will never change. Unstoppable (Bolton and Ipswich) yet others is so ineffective.

Wood: B  Was excellent when he first came in. Good focal point, clever player.

Nugent:  C  Overrated, his 17 game barren run was dangerous, never looked like scoring in that run.

Kane:  F  Clown, complete waste of space.

Vardy: C  Written off by many despite a very good start to the season, unfortunate with injury.

Waghorn: D+  Seems to have disappeared completely. Showed glimpses of excellence when he got a good run in the team.

Schlupp: B  Has provided a spark and his versatility is invaluable to the squad. I look forward to him bagging 25 goals next year if Pearson has the balls to drop Nugent.

Very debatable.

Schmeichel - A - Yes he has his flaws, but won us many points with his shot-stopping. Very few costly mistakes and a good attitude to playing.

De Laet - C - Quality going forward but was vulnerable defensively.

Moore - D - Not impressive when I've seen him.

Konchesky - D - Hugely disappointing this season, has looked slower and more sloppy in possession.

Morgan - A - Brilliant for the majority of the season.

Keane - C - Showed potential but also naivety and poor positioning. Made too many errors.

St Ledger - C  - Average, decent some games, shocking in others.

Whitbread - D - Too error prone and slow.

Schlupp - B- - Was doing well at left back earlier in the season before being dropped for one bad performance. Scored a couple of good goals and showed glimpses of his potential. I still think he's not played enough in his proper position. He generally coped well but his weaknesses were highlighted against some of the better sides. Should not be playing at left back.

Marshall - D - Started the season on fire but quickly regressed. Has contributed at times and showed glimpses of his quality but was poor for the most part.

Knockaert - B+ - A match winner on his day, great to watch, but too many long periods out of form.

James - B+ - I might have given him an A if he'd played more, had a while out with injury and struggled to cement his place in the side for a while. Superb last 3rd of the season.

King - B- - Seemed inconsistent again but a big player when we're playing well.

Drinkwater - C - Very inconsistent, good on his day but on the basis of this season he won't be in the starting 11 next.

Wellens - E - Barely played, obviously not the player he was.

Gallagher - E - Again barely played, will probably leave.

Dyer - C- - Same old story for Lloyd, key player when he decides to use his pace, but most of the time shows he's not good enough. Needs to be made into a bench player.

Nugent - B- - He was having a great season up until the end of January, then played like a nob until the play-offs. I'm disappointed in him but he still contributed hugely.

Wood - C - Started fantastically, looked a great signing, then after his injury things went wrong. I'm hoping he was injured, I'll expect a lot more next season.

Kane - E- - Pretty much useless, and the timing of his inclusion did us no favours.

Vardy - D - Did ok for someone we plucked from non-league, but the bottom line is he just isn't good enough and should never have been signed.

Waghorn - C- - He's not a goalscorer and it shows. His overall performances were good when he played earlier in the season, but he faded into obscurity pretty quickly.

Futacs - F - Terrible player, bizarre signing.

Vardy the same rating as Nugent?

Just today, Football365.com made a point about how arbitrary and pointless it is to mark players out of ten. Their example from last night's Brazil-England game was Theo Walcott who's scores in the various papers varied from a slightly harsh 4/10 to a ridiculously generous 7/10. This is basically the same thing. Scoring or grading footballers performances is pointless without proper analysis.

Vardy the same rating as Nugent?

Nugent had a run of scoring 4 goals in 2 games and another spell of 6 goals in 5 games. Take that out and you have a striker who has contributed a grand total of 6 goals in 42 matches including a 7 game barren run at the start of the season and a 16 game goalless streak in which our collapse occurred - which I still believe was down to Pearson sticking with Nugent who quite frankly offered NOTHING in those 16 games except lose us 2 points with a cock up vs Birmingham. Vardy however, was pivotal in our rise to the top of the league, with his all round play and work rate contributing to the team effort. He then got injured and the fans are on his back after a couple of rusty sub appearances. Both C's and deservedly IMO

Nugent was our highest goal scorer a C grade your having a laugh  lol

No I'm not. Can you disprove any of my points above. Here's another one - look at DavieG's MOTM spreadsheet... Nugent lurking towards the bottom, that's because he offers nothing but pop up with the odd goal (well maybe every 16 games). He doesn't hold the ball up, he is hardly quick, lacks a trick or two, I don't see the hype about him.

Why would you take them out? Hate it when people do that... Take out Messi's 313 goals for Barca and he's got 0 in 380...

Schmeichel A???

Which Schmeichel are we taking about, Kasper or Peter.

Kasper was pretty indifferent for 1st three quarters of the season. We came up against keeper after keeper who were pulling 10+ great saves per match whilst our outfield players were conceding fewest shots on goal in the division & the couple we did concede on goal Kasper was picking out his net.

His distribution is shocking and he's a total liability on crosses & corners. That's total liability, simply awful.

However with our change of formation we obviously conceded far more shots on goal in the last quarter of the season than we did in the first three quarters and Kasper looked a brilliant shot stopper in the run in just like most keepers we came across whilst we were riding high.

Does Kasper's late season form mean anyone can award an A ignoring his liability at corners & crosses & the fact he was indifferent whilst our outfield players were on top?

I'd say B... But that's because he did make important saves in the run in, even though his crosses & corners remained shocking throughout (just WTF is Stowell doing with him, if he's still with us)... If it wasn't for that - A bang-on average C taking the season as a whole.

So were you satisfied with Nugent's run of 0 goals in 16 games? I'd rather have a striker who pops up with the odd goal here and there every 1 in 2 or 3 rather than a striker who scored 2/3 in one match then doesn't score again for another 10 games. I don't mind if that striker contributes to the team, a few assists during that barren run but Nugent has 4, yes FOUR, equal with Vardy and Wood who both had considerably less games than him and Waghorn even has FIVE! Not buying in to this 'Nugent was our top goal scorer though' rubbish.
