lost a baby son surely that would affect anybodies form.

Yeah i appreciate that, seem to recall Billy Sharp did too though and he only improved.

Doesnt excue his stupid attitude at times though

Lets be honest, he is only still at the club for the dosh.

As a player he's had a dip in performance levels over the past season and a bit, and had the fans booing him off more than once leading to him blanking the supporters completely.

However it is also clear he'll sit and rot and take the money rather than take a wage cut and move on, so I think we are stuck with him unless we pay him up.

maybe im an oddball but actually wouldnt mind gally staying for the following reasons

if and it looks possible  pearson is going to play a 3-5-2 this season

i think gally would be perfect backup to knockeart  in the cam role  he can pass and has great vision and take very good free kicks

and also if marshall plays  rm  then gally would be able to fill in there also  and at 28  hes not exactley old

I don't think Gallagher deserves half the criticism he gets from some he's one of those players that on his day is unplayable but that only happens a few times a season and the rest of the time he's a passenger.

Personally I think last season he could have made a bigger impact in games than the likes of Kane, Vardy, Lindgard did at times.

However...

He bottles out of 50/50's

Is obviously on a very good wage

and lives nearly 3hrs away

It should have been conditional that he moved closer to the club, spending 5-6hrs on the road every day is hardly conducive to peak performance and imo shows a lack of commitment.

Gally Marshall and Knockaert are all best suited to playing just behind the striker rather then wide, IMO, but given his wages, like St Ledger, we should probably move him on

A position that NFP seems extremely reluctant to use.

No room in his sides for a creative type with a free role or even in the hole. Shame. Gallagher on the wing, particularly when required to stay wide and maintain our 'shape' was largely a waste of time.

Sadly I think Knockaert may go the same way, Marshall already has, pretty much.

I don't know Gally from Adam, so you may be right, but one could argue that spending that amount of time travelling shows a lot of commitment. It would need a serious amount of money for me to want to do that almost every day! Unlike many of us who clock up serious miles in our work, he really does have the choice not to.

I have to agree with Jay on this the way I see it if I was going to play football every day I know for a fact I would perform much better if I had only driven for 30 mins to get the match rather than 3 hours, I'm sure recovery afterwards would be affected too. wasn't the whole Sven dressing room bust up before the Millwall game about this apparently?

Personally, I can't stand him. His attitude on twitter, replying to fans saying that he's going to sit his contract out for the ££££ and then his pussy tackling on the pitch. Had enough really, waste of space. Pigeon.

When did he say that?

I thought he's not bad as a back up, but I wouldn't care if he went now.

Same old arrogant footballer attitude because he's not getting picked as he is not good enough for first team football.

Agree re performance. Unsure re commitment.

But did he not score the best brace of his time in a blue shirt,  probably even his career in Nigel's  very first game back?

And he's done what since then? He's inconsistent and will have one good game in eight games.

Too lightweight and not good enough.

He might have scored the penalty at Watford, but he wouldn't have had the strength or pace to beat the defender in the first place.

So did Billy Sharp. So did Brad Jones.

Oh, well in that case someone should've given him a slap and told him to man the **** up then eh?

People deal with grief in different ways and I personally don't think that his grief had anything to do with his form, but to callously say that other people have gone through the same so he should react the same way as them is ridiculous. The man lost a child, show some bloody respect.

You would think at this stage of his career he would be demanding a loan or transfer, as its clear he isn't in the first team plans, anything to have first team football every week.

If I was as fortunate as him I would, but sadly it appears he just happy drawing his wages and bleeding us dry, come on Paul go and get regular football, drop down a division.

I'm not saying that, I'm not being disrespectful in anyway. All I did was so say so did two other players, I'm not exactly running up and down the street in celebration... People lose a child everyday.

Don't accuse me of lack of respect. I've got plenty of respect for people, that's how I roll, I'm not a twat. You wouldn't know that, because you don't know me in real life. I'm a football fan, but I can separate that from real life incidents, including the worst, which is losing a life of any age.

I think it's just as disrespectful using it as an example for his form.

why should he? its his job at the end of the day, why should he move to do the same job for less money, not his fault we now play a system that doesn't suit him after giving him a n big contract

Calm down, I just thought he might have a bit of professional pride, and want to play week in week out, instead of being reserve player in this part of his career.

And if other players are to go by, whatever he is payed at a new club, lcfc would probably end up paying the difference in compo for the remainder of his contract, but at least he would be playing regular, and we free up money for us, and to pay for a player we actually need.

Playing him at right back at York is a clear message from Pearson. He definitely wants, or expects him to go.

Or was it because we were 'short on defenders' as Shakespeare said?

You are probably right though, it's not like he's going to come out and say we don't want him, although he has played right full back for us before apparently.

Still, I hope he leaves.
