ScouseFox Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 quality stuff from broad to waste time only for the umps to say bowl another anyway hahaha
Guest shearfox Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 The No. 11's are causing us massive problems, just get the one wicket!!!
Haydos Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 quality stuff from broad to waste time only for the umps to say bowl another anyway hahaha They were never going to let him get away with that shit
Corky Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Seemed to change when Finn came on, he's had a poor day with a dropped catch and not knowing where the ball was. Desperately needed a break, hope Anderson can bowl straight after.
Super_horns Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 The No. 11's are causing us massive problems, just get the one wicket!!! Its something despite our improvement we do lack although if we win the Aussies will point to the Broad situation.
Corky Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Not just from his bowling, but I reckon Finn will be replaced by Bresnan, who offers far more with the bat. The way the Australia lower order have batted will not go unnoticed (obviously, but they've had two seemingly decent players bat at 11). Frustrating, too, with two reviews available and none for them, that we've not had the chance to use that in our favour.
Matt Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Bloody hell, I went out to the pool expecting this to be over when I came back, England, What has gone wrong?! We should never be in this posistion given how is was poised!
Matt Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Got him! Hotspot!!!! Edit 1 - Hmmm think the mark may have been there before the ball passed. Not out. Edit 2 - They've given it!!! Get in there!!! England 1 - 0 Australia. Controversial!
Super_horns Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 So ironic to win it due to a review! We've worked that system better than Australia.
AKCJ Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Got away with that. They should really have had it done and dusted hours ago.
Corky Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 There was definitely a sound as it passed the bat. Blimey, just about did it
Dylan Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Not complaining but thought it was harsh on Haddin to overturn a decision on the evidence... the tiny hotspot mark looked to have already been there, and was definitely not concrete
Haydos Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Got him! Hotspot!!!! Edit 1 - Hmmm think the mark may have been there before the ball passed. Not out. Edit 2 - They've given it!!! Get in there!!! England 1 - 0 Australia. Controversial! Nowt controversial about it. Clear hotspot and obvious sound. No real argument tbh.
Brainy Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Not complaining but thought it was harsh on Haddin to overturn a decision on the evidence... the tiny hotspot mark looked to have already been there, and was definitely not concrete There was a clear sound though (just been proven) and its not as though the bat had clipped anything other than the ball. Tbf this wouldn't be controversial if it wasn't the last ball of the match
Dylan Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Fair enough if Snicko's confirmed it now, at the time I was shocked it was overturned...
AKCJ Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Trott's dismissal and Agar's 'stumping' were more controversial. That was clearly out.
Haydos Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 I heard the sound right away and wondered by there wasn't more of an appeal. There was nothing else that could have made it by the looks of things.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Haddin turns his head round as soon as he hits it. Guilty as fook. Disappointed he didn't walk to be honest.
Matt Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Nowt controversial about it. Clear hotspot and obvious sound. No real argument tbh. I havn't seen or heard the sniko evidence yet but my controversial comment was based on the hotspot evidence which I felt was there before the ball passed, obviously not if snicko has confirmed sound. Regardless, we won!
Guest shearfox Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 The sound was clear even without replay, I'm surprised the appeal seemed so muted...
