purpleronnie Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Purpleronnie, How much do MLS side charge when they play the big European sides ? If I remember correctly for teams like madrid/Barca it was just as expensive as the bournemouth tickets are. But the premiership teams often were the same as matchday tickets, often pretty cheap.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 For a family of four (2 adults, 2 U16s) plus drink etc could cost up to £200 for an afternoon out.
Guest MattP Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 For a family of four (2 adults, 2 U16s) plus drink etc could cost up to £200 for an afternoon out. To watch what effectively amounts to a kick around. You almost have to laugh.
Fox92 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 For a family of four (2 adults, 2 U16s) plus drink etc could cost up to £200 for an afternoon out. Which puts into perspective what you could buy instead for that amount of money.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Which puts into perspective what you could buy instead for that amount of money. Seeing majority of their fans saying it's worth the money on twitter...didn't we only pay £25? How £55 is worth the money for a friendly is laughable
Fox42 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I suspect they're charging so much due to the size of the stadium. It's tiny, and charging around £20-30 in a 10,000 seater against Real Madrid seems like they haven't made the most of the opportunity. They wanna milk it. £60 in a stadium that size is understandable, to be honest. It'll still sell out, no doubt.
promised land Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 It says on SSN the only players who won't be there are those who have just played in the Con Cup. I'm not up to date on their squad but there must be a few in the Spanish team.
HEGGSY Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Casillas Ramos Albiol Arbeloa Marcelo They are the one called up for Spain and Brazil respectively.
Dan Posted 2 July 2013 Author Posted 2 July 2013 People will pay it of course so the clubs will think its fine - I guess its to cover the costs for having Madrid over. Even just having a Reserve side would cost loads. Read elsewhere RM are playing Galatasaray the following day....so wouldn't expect the top stars to turn up. I would piss myself.
Corky Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Would never pay that amount for a friendly. Even a cup final is pushing it. I do see the "glamour" in it but I'd leave it and concentrate on the away games I'd get to (obviously in this case home games don't count as STH's are the group involved). But each to their own, I suppose.
Dan Posted 2 July 2013 Author Posted 2 July 2013 Seeing majority of their fans saying it's worth the money on twitter...didn't we only pay £25? How £55 is worth the money for a friendly is laughable If their fans think it's worth the money then god help us. There really is no hope at all for football.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 That's Wembley final money, I wouldn't even pay that for a league game. For a friendly it's just plain ridiculous. You'll still get muppets travelling from all over the South Coast for that money though.
Libertine Dream Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Their fans on twitter aren't really bothered, some saying things like '55 quid is nothing when you get to tell your grandchildren that you saw the mighty Real at Bournemouth
Kitchandro Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Their fans on twitter aren't really bothered, some saying things like '55 quid is nothing when you get to tell your grandchildren that you saw the mighty Real at Bournemouth Tossers. Their grandchildren won't give two shits.
Guest MattP Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Their fans on twitter aren't really bothered, some saying things like '55 quid is nothing when you get to tell your grandchildren that you saw the mighty Real at Bournemouth Embarrassing.
purpleronnie Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Which puts into perspective what you could buy instead for that amount of money. 2 nice belts.
purpleronnie Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Their fans on twitter aren't really bothered, some saying things like '55 quid is nothing when you get to tell your grandchildren that you saw the mighty Real at Bournemouth some fans find it hard to criticise their club, I'm sure if it was another team madrid were playing their fans would be saying its terrible.
Super_horns Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Will it be the top names though? No doubt if its not some will be complaining!
Dan Posted 2 July 2013 Author Posted 2 July 2013 some fans find it hard to criticise their club, I'm sure if it was another team madrid were playing their fans would be saying its terrible. Which is why clubs continue to get away with this kind of shit. In some peoples eyes their club can do no wrong. "Their Grandchildren" worrying to think idiots like these intend to re-produce.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 One person is saying the club has to charge that to get back money, they don't have to charge it at all! Embarrassing that fans are making excuses for their disgusting ticket prices for a friendly
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Daniel Perkins â€@dperkins841m @AdamLCFC @HJEFC92 @dorsettoffee Leicester charged £32 to away fans in the championship last season. £2 more than arsenal charged us EDIT: His reply to my tweet... Daniel Perkins â€@dperkins8447s @AdamLCFC @HJEFC92 @dorsettoffee that to me is as bad as Bournemouth charging £60 Everton fan, and moronic.
Fox in the North Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 They seem a bit more down to earth on here, but only just http://www.courtoffside.com/forum/showthread.php?t=181321
Larry_LCFC Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Wonder how much Bournemouth are paying to play them. Bet Ronaldo has never even heard of bloody Bournemouth
