Corky Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 To be honest honest your life must be pretty shite if watching Real play a friendly is the stuff you see as 'once in a lifetime' Being in the second tier after 23 years away is a more memorable event.
AdamN Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 To be honest honest your life must be pretty shite if watching Real play a friendly is the stuff you see as 'once in a lifetime' I find it as baffling as the people who go on about wanting to be in the Premier League so we can see the likes of RVP, Rooney, Aguero, Mata etc down at the KP. Surely the reason you want to be in the Premier League is so that we, Leicester City, are competing at the highest level, not so that you can fawn over players of the opposing team? Yes, I can maybe understand the novelty/significance of Man United or Arsenal playing a competitive fixture here, but that's only because we've been out of the top flight for so long. The reason I go to watch Leicester matches is to see Leicester, otherwise I'd just go and get a season ticket at the Etihad.
Corky Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Totally agree. I want to get promoted so we can, as a club, compete against the best teams in this country for league points, not just a one-off cup game. Think back to the Man City match two years ago. The atmosphere was superb, the ground was full, the match was entertaining. I'd love that again on a regular basis. Seeing the top stars doesn't really interest me too much, it's Leicester in the top flight that's the most important thing when you go to the ground.
AyewJoking Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Anyone who pays that is a twat. i dunno, if you can afford it then why not to see your beloved cherries vs real fúckin madrid.

Kitchandro Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 i dunno, if you can afford it then why not to see your beloved cherries vs real fúckin madrid. Usually I don't like this argument but; out of principle. It's not like it's a cup final which you simply can't miss, it's a friendly. You can afford to not be ripped off.
Leicesterpool Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 It would be funny if they pay £55 and Real Madrid sent there B team
HEGGSY Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 On Sky Sports news, hundreds queued and CAMPED overnight for tickets. They've sold out. lol

Wycombe Fox Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Talking of Real Madrid my nipper's playing left back for Portsmouth v Real Madrid in an Under 16s match on 23rd July and it's free!!!!!
purpleronnie Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 On Sky Sports news, hundreds queued and CAMPED overnight for tickets. They've sold out. lol No surprise.
Dan Posted 11 July 2013 Author Posted 11 July 2013 Embarrassing. Well done to those Bournemouth fans who'll be seeing a monumental friendly against Real Madrid reserves for their £55, who've just set out a precedent that they'll happily be ripped off in the future.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Not the biggest surprise as it is a fairly affluent area on the South Coast, but anybody paying £60 for a friendly wants their head checking. Unless somebody's created eleven Mila Kunis clones who can play like Messi so long as they're nude, even half that is steep for a meaningless game. Muppets.
Fox92 Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Not suprised they've sold out. They are playing against most probably the biggest club in the World, and some of their fans will probably have never seen Madrid before. Does that mean it's value at £55? No, of course not but football is a business and the days of putting fans first is over.
MC Prussian Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Do they realize that they're also paying for Real Madrid's debts in a way? Meanwhile, their "real* fans are doing their club a big favour by causing a ruckus during their European pre-season tour: "69th minute: play temporarily suspended for about 8 minutes because of rioting fans." http://www.fcz.ch/en/profis/news.htm?id=2214&page=&ipp=&archiv=
whoareyaaa Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 I bet Real will have loads of their first eleven missing.

Fox92 Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 We shouldn't laugh... Half of them haven't seen Burnley before, never mind Madrid.
Guest MattP Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 I honestly don't know what to say. What a bunch of losers.
Finnaldo Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 The last paragraph sums it all up perfectly. “To be honest we just want to see Real Madrid,†he confessed. “We didn't want to lose the opportunity to see them in our home town.†What a bunch of fools. How can you see that price reasonable? Especially the bloke who said it was great value. I fear what football fans have become.
Harry - LCFC Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I'd imagine a large number of those wanting to go to such a monumental game probably won't be all that bothered when the real games start getting played. Shit fans. Rude I know but I really think there's no other way in which to speak about them.
