KFS Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I'd imagine a large number of those wanting to go to such a monumental game probably won't be all that bothered when the real games start getting played. Shit fans. Rude I know but I really think there's no other way in which to speak about them. They filter right into the town too, ****** everywhere. (With the exception of the South Coasters who post on here )Can't wait for the game in Feb, they're going to get a shock when they see our away support.
Fox92 Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 This game not on the tele? Leicester arn't involved, so, no.
Super_horns Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Its sold out I believe which just proves why clubs charge such prices - people would pay anything.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 And people think Bournemouth will be dark horses this season pffft they couldn't even score against Real Madrid.
AyewJoking Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Usually I don't like this argument but; out of principle. It's not like it's a cup final which you simply can't miss, it's a friendly. You can afford to not be ripped off. give people who choose to pay, some credit. in what world are bournemouth going to play real in a cup final?
SystonFox Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 give people who choose to pay, some credit. in what world are bournemouth going to play real in a cup final? FM2013
Leicesterpool Posted 21 July 2013 Posted 21 July 2013 Sounded like a little bit of a disaster, alright there playing the Spanish giants but 0-6! and it home aswell. £55 to watch your team being humiliated and outclassed.

Kitchandro Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 give people who choose to pay, some credit. in what world are bournemouth going to play real in a cup final? But this isn't comparable to a cup final, it's a friendly. It's not even the FA Cup 3rd round.
MC Prussian Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Why bother? It was never really about football, Bournemouth AFC pulled a great marketing trick, got some nice cash in return for fans' "loyalty" ( ). Even with just a partially-filled Dean Court, it involved little extra cost for the club, as the ticket prices as well as the TV rights compensated for the alleged £750'000 fee they had to pay Real Madrid. Still, getting thrashed 6-0 must've been a joy in the eye of the South Coast beholder.

MC Prussian Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 That was where Brighton used to play. Fixed. At least I got the Dean part right. Thanks for pointing it out.
purpleronnie Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Do they realize that they're also paying for Real Madrid's debts in a way? Meanwhile, their "real* fans are doing their club a big favour by causing a ruckus during their European pre-season tour: "69th minute: play temporarily suspended for about 8 minutes because of rioting fans." http://www.fcz.ch/en/profis/news.htm?id=2214&page=&ipp=&archiv= I just imagine 1000's of bournemouth 'fans' spending all night uploading all their shitty photo's of ronaldo onto facebook.
Leicesterpool Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 I've just watched the highlights from the game, Bournemouth would have done better by not even being on the pitch. I still can't work out why this friendly would benefit Real Madrid or even Bournemouth apart from making a few bob on the turnstiles.
HEGGSY Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 apart from making a few bob on the turnstiles. That's the main benefit. And the only one they're bothered about.

Football is a business; making money is what the owner needs and wants. Can't see Bournemouth being 'dark horses'. Not just of this result of course, they were playing one of the best teams in the World, but Howe's already had a go at this level and failed (ok, it was with Burnley). I know he has something 'special' at Bournemouth, but people though Peterborough would be good in the Championship after dominating League 2 and then League 1, but they were outclassed.
Super_horns Posted 22 July 2013 Posted 22 July 2013 Fair play to Madrid in bringing their super-stars along...
KFS Posted 24 July 2013 Posted 24 July 2013 The worst was the songs. Their fans are so fvcking cringe- singing 'We all hate Leeds" when Ian Harte comes on? Excellent.
