Dylan Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 That's disgusting. Wouldn't have minded if that was the general sale price to all the 'fans' that just wanna watch Real Madrid, like the ones that turned up when we played them- that'd befair enough to me... But not to loyal STHs and proper fans, the ones that would come and watch Yeovil in the league etc, they should be charged a more reasonable price IMO.
leicesterisme Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 They seem happy to pay it so more fool them. Absolutely ridiculous but it isn't surprising and fans will turn out regardless
Toffee_Fox Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Would be great to see the place empty and people refuse to pay it, sadly that won't be the case however.
Danizen Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 If they want to milk the plastics and tourists, fine but don't shit on the loyal season ticket holders. They should have a big concession.
MC Prussian Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Well, Bournemouth want to play Real Madrid, this is what they'll have to pay for it. Their choice. I feel for the fans, though. You could've done with opposition that's more like their calibre.
Anorak Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I think our glamour game over the years haven't been badly price. We're had Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and even Brazil playing at our stadium. Monaco too add to the collection. The club have been quite good to us over the years in getting teams you wouldn't dream off seeing in Leicester. I'm sure Rapid Bucharest at filbo must have been reasonable, or else my dad wouldn't have took me. Made us look silly they did.
Lost Dream Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Considering most teams charge £10-15 for friendly's at this level. £55-60 is a dreadful price. They'l be fighting relegation this season anyway.
AKCJ Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Stupid Football â€@StupidFootball7m "We see the fixture as a well-earned gift to our fans for their unwavering dedication to the club." - Bournemouth on charging £60-a-ticket.
AKCJ Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I'm intrigued to see how the Thais will react to all this bearing in mind we have a high profile friendly coming up. There's absolutely no way i'm paying close to that amount.
Lost Dream Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I'm sure they'll all be queuing up to watch Real Madrid put 4-7 goals past them
promised land Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 They seem a bit more down to earth on here, but only just http://www.courtoffside.com/forum/showthread.php?t=181321 What a terrible forum to read with that poster who has about 4 different pictures flicking about under his posts, also the Mr Bean thing. Why do forums allow that stuff and what's it for? One photo should be enough.
Webbo Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 Well, Bournemouth want to play Real Madrid, this is what they'll have to pay for it. Their choice. I feel for the fans, though. You could've done with opposition that's more like their calibre. I'm sure the fans have seen pre season friendlies against teams like Hendon Town dozens of times before, when is a Bournemouth fan ever going to get another chance to see their side play Real Madrid? Really don't understand the reaction to this, nobody is forced to buy a ticket.
Corky Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I'm sure the fans have seen pre season friendlies against teams like Hendon Town dozens of times before, when is a Bournemouth fan ever going to get another chance to see their side play Real Madrid? Really don't understand the reaction to this, nobody is forced to buy a ticket. It's more the price under the guise of gift that people are not quite understanding.
Webbo Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 It's more the price under the guise of gift that people are not quite understanding. We're all grown ups we all know what marketing is. Bournemouth is one of the most well off areas in the country, if people are happy to pay that for a ticket, good luck to them.
Lost Dream Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I guess it is cheaper than Bournemouth fans traveling abroad to watch the game. That and they don't have a big enough fanbase/away following to make such a fixture viable The away end would be virtually empty if the fixture was played at Reals ground.
Voll Blau Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I'm past my days of being angered by stuff like this, I'm just saddened now.
Harry - LCFC Posted 2 July 2013 Posted 2 July 2013 I don't really understand the thinking behind paying to watch a non-competitive game anyway, there's just no excitement in it for me.
Father Ted Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 I'm past my days of being angered by stuff like this, I'm just saddened now. Exactly my feelings. Unfortunately, I can see FFP causing even more misery on fans. We will be the ones to take the hit.
ozleicester Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Just thought id pop this up for interest sake... Manure coming to OZ - SOLD OUT! Cat A - $189 = About 115 pounds Cat B - $100 = About 65 pounds Cat C - $70 = About 45 pounds Edit - just saw this too... The Manure "active area" .... MAN UNITED ACTIVE AREA - (45 pounds) The Man United Active Area is an area designed for active supporters who are extra passionate and vocal in support of Man United. By purchasing tickets into this area you may be required to participate in active supporter activities. Fans in the Man United Active area are likely to stand for the duration of the match. My 30 quid spent to seal Real at Leicester was worth every penny, i saw some of the worlds best and will take some of the memories well in to old(er) age. As a comparison, i walked up to a regular home and away AFL match at the MCG a few weeks ago, general admission was $21, so about 13 quid.
indierich06 Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Embarrassing. Tin pot mentality. Maybe we should charge them £50 to come and see the mighty Leicester, that'll be something they can tell their grandkids about!
Bayfox Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 money Tin pot mentality. Maybe we should charge them £50 to come and see the mighty Leicester, that'll be something they can tell their grandkids about! yep money bags bournemouth fans, let's give them 10000 tickets for the game at the kp and charge them £50 a pop. should help with FFP.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 I don't get this, I really don't. Once in a lifetime? Really? To see a team play at 45% and not give a monkeys? Real are supposed to be playing Galatasaray the next day, wonder which the glamour players will be focused on.attending? There's a volley of Bournemouth fans defending this on various forums, on the basis of it being a 'once in a lifetime' event. I'd rather watch Real live in a competitive match than a friendly against us (again) at those prices. I don't know how it's so 'once in a lifetime' when there's simply no considerable effort being put into the performance. They'll sell out and it'll be a roaring success of course so it's all futile, but I can't get my head around the justifications that are being spouted.
goose2010 Posted 3 July 2013 Posted 3 July 2013 Werent it about £20 a ticket when we played them? The Fact they play gala the day after would put me off as your going to pay £60 for probably 1 or 2 'stars'
