"After staying behind, wishing to applaud the players whilst they warmed down, we were asked to leave. As we started to walk away, the players emerged from the tunnel to warm down. We walked left towards the section of the pitch where the players were. One of the stewards (aggressively) told us to leave. We suggested to him we may as well leave through the exit that we were heading towards. He started shouting at us asking us why we had ignored his orders to leave via the exit we were walking away from. All of a sudden, one steward in particular decided to speed our exit up and subsequently pushed my friend (in the video). I then started filming." What should happen to him? Really disgraceful if you ask me

They're like the fvcking Gestapo at times, infringing on personal freedom wherever possible, if they behave like that against the wrong sort they'll get a less than pleasant response. It's that kind of stewarding that causes violence to occur.

It's that kind of stewarding that causes violence to occur. Exactly, but the police always back the stewards up. That video itself wouldnt be enough to prove the stewards were out of order. I was at Ninian Park a few years ago when Chopra got a hatrick against us. At half time a bloke who my mates knew got decked by a steward. The other stewards saw it and helped him to escape never to be seen again during the second half. The old hooligan network coming into play that day.

It's that kind of stewarding that causes violence to occur. I doubt they would behave in such manner against someone who was the same size as them and looked more intimidating. Like bouncers in town they try and throw their weight around against people who they think won't retaliate.

And you'll get slit straight through the neck". Also, why does the steward grab the back of the fellas neck when he is already walking with his hands in the air?

Because chances are he's a massive tw@ who's been given a bit of power and he's intent on exercising it.

I think he says "lippy and you'll go straight to the nick" At the end of the video when they are all standing their looking like overweight Phil Mitchell's.

In their defemce they will say they were escorting a couple of mouthy lads fron the ground who were constantly acting in a loutish manner. His superors would agree, the police would agree, the club would agree and the only ones to disagree would be football fans and we all know how they are thought of.

Rincewind Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 I applied to be a steward and I'm nothing like that. Pronanly why I didn't get the job. They are also responsible for the fans safety. They have not always been like that.
