The Quick Brown Fox Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 To not worry about stuff that you have no control over. If its going to happen, it will happen. Worrying about it just prolongs the agony and takes up a lot of time, all that for something that might not happen.
Lamby Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 No one will like you no matter what you do. It's impossible to suffocate yourself using a pillow
Merging Cultures Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 Take time to listen to others before you speak. They will appreciate it, you will have better conversations and make stronger relationships. Maintaining friendships takes effort. Unless it's your best friend or family, because when you all get together it's like you were never apart. One phone call is worth a million mass emails. As someone else mentioned, people are usually so wrapped in their thoughts/activities/insecurity that they do not even notice you. So don't worry about what other people think, get on with life and enjoy yourself.

Steven Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 I'm sure you can imagine. Me + larger lady + booze + piggy back = bloody nose + smashed teeth

The People's Hero Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 No one will like you no matter what you do. It's impossible to suffocate yourself using a pillow What about 'attention seeking on other team a forums is about the most pointless and pathetic thing you can do' ?
Vacamion Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 No one will like you no matter what you do. It's impossible to suffocate yourself using a pillow If you really do feel like this, you need to turn the internet off and go out and talk to real people for a bit. If, on the other hand, you don't feel like this and you are being a wind-up merchant to get our attention, you need to turn the internet off and go out and talk to real people for a bit. Either way, I think the way forward is clear.
The People's Hero Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 He doesn't feel like that. Free money? Living with parents? Sounds mega stressful.

foxfanazer Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 What about 'attention seeking on other team a forums is about the most pointless and pathetic thing you can do' ?Yeah go and seek attention and troll on your own forum like TPH does

MooseBreath Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 If you wake up needing a piss just go and have a piss straight away because it's not going away and you won't be able to get back to sleep until you've been.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 If you wake up needing a piss just go and have a piss straight away because it's not going away and you won't be able to get back to sleep until you've been. Yes. Absolutely yes. The man has spoken.
Rincewind Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 You learn something new every day such as the charity Cancer Research is politically motivated and they only campaign so they can voice their leftist views.
Lamby Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 He doesn't feel like that. Free money? Living with parents? Sounds mega stressful. It is when you've been diagnosed with depression for 3 years. No job, no bird, no reason to actually go out the house in the week. It gets to me.

I am sure you will get some friendly advice from Foxestalk posters.as to where you can go, In fact I see someone has responded as I type. We are kind and understanding people on here.
Guest MattP Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 It is when you've been diagnosed with depression for 3 years. No job, no bird, no reason to actually go out the house in the week. It gets to me.You aren't going to get much sympathy on the job front when you have openly said on here you won't work on a Saturday. No idea how people sit in all week doing nothing, if I didn't have work and have shit to post on here all day you wouldn't be able to keep me out the library and it doesn't cost a penny. Pull yourself together, self pity is the worst thing that you can indulge in now.

Pull yourself together, self pity is the worst thing that you can indulge in now. I agree, but self-pity is insidious. It's like a bottle that never runs out, and it's a lot worse if you spend a lot of time by yourself. I know that from personal experience. You feel like you're worthless and that all the problems you have can't be solved, and more to the point you don't want to solve them. Most of the time it's difficult to get out of a situation like that by yourself, but often it can be solved by just talking to someone about it in person. Lamby - get out there and talk to someone, anyone. This isn't the kind of thing you can sort out on your own.

Kitchandro Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 I like how so many people have written something along the lines of 'treat people how you'd like to be treated' etc and then later in the thread start ripping into Lamby. Have a bit of sympathy for christ's sake. He's a young lad and I know how he feels. Life doesn't seem as simple at his age.
MooseBreath Posted 31 August 2013 Posted 31 August 2013 I like how so many people have written something along the lines of 'treat people how you'd like to be treated' etc and then later in the thread start ripping into Lamby. Have a bit of sympathy for christ's sake. He's a young lad and I know how he feels. Life doesn't seem as simple at his age. Most of us have been young lads too so we all know what life is like at that age (although the memory will surely be fading for some). Personally looking back I've always appreciated the 'tough love' when I've been doing something wrong. Sympathy implies acceptance and doesn't provoke the same desire to change as someone telling you you're being a cvnt. People are only "ripping into" Lamby as a socially acceptable way of telling him he's being a cvnt and that he needs to change. That is how I would want to be treated if I was Lamby, even if I didn't necessarily see it at the time.
