isaidno Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 Finally got myself a PS4 . £275 with drive club and advanced warfare. Bargain
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 They're all at it now. There's a way to do dlc and the only 2 examples that come to mind are bioshock infinite: burial at sea and last of us: left behind. I'm sure there are others, but if you play and complete a full game, then want more and the developers make more after the event, I've no issue With paying an extra £5-10 for the privilege. Taking content out of games, paying for game modes, extra lives (see capcom with resident evil revelations 2, cvnts), extra levels, microtransactions, get fvcked.
Legend_in_blue Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 Project Cars Exclusive PS4 Gameplay part 1: Looks pretty tasty if you ask me. Might hold off on Bloodborne and The Order 1886 to wait and see if it's worth a day one purchase on this one.
Legend_in_blue Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Bloodborne: The First 18 Minutes - IGN First: The Taurus Demon has become a Cleric Beast! Looks decent to me. Decent exclusive for PS4.
deejdeej Posted 2 February 2015 Posted 2 February 2015 Finally got myself a PS4 . £275 with drive club and advanced warfare. BargainHow so cheap? I'm looking at buying but can't find anything for less than £350?
FrankieADZ Posted 3 February 2015 Posted 3 February 2015 Bloodborne: The First 18 Minutes - IGN First: The Taurus Demon has become a Cleric Beast! Looks decent to me. Decent exclusive for PS4. tbh....its a decent game....from what I've read *hint hint* will be a very marmite game though imo. not much about on the games front atm. after the flood comes the droughts....rinse and blooming repeat.

CKB Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Anyone know of anywhere that I can rent xbox one games from?? http://boomerangrentals.co.uk It has been going through a few problems lately mainly due to being hacked but you can't fault it otherwise
kingcarr21 Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Anyone know of anywhere that I can rent xbox one games from?? Moviezone in Leicester Forest East. £5 for 5 nights. Well worth it for a game that you know wont take an age to complete. Also chipshop next door (Beacon Fishbar) do the best kebab in naan bread EVER.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 10 February 2015 Posted 10 February 2015 343i have really dropped the ball with the Master Chief Collection. They were going to beta a patch (never heard of that before) and have now decided to cancel the beta, 3 months after the game was released. The online is still a mess. Really poor, makes you a bit nervous in regards to Halo 5.

There's no multiplayer and it's mainly cut scenes. £48.99 is the best price currently. I'll pass.

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 17 February 2015 Posted 17 February 2015 Is it over hyped bollocks though? It's still not out, you can speedrun games that might take you 10+ hours in under an hour sometimes. I'd rather a great short game than a shit long one, Portal 2 being a great example, I paid £35 for that, clocked it in an evening but loved every minute, much more than any RPG that might take me 100 hours to complete. Value is all relative. In all likelihood it'll be a bit longer than 5 and a half hours. I mean it could be absolute dogshit, I've no idea, but I won't condemn for it's supposed short duration. 2 things that excite me are Tesla is in it and Ready at Dawn did great things with the PSP,.
Christoph Posted 17 February 2015 Posted 17 February 2015 Depends...if people say you can complete it in 6 hours, then my assumption is its about as long as a call of duty single player campaign. So it may stretch over 10 but unlikely to go over 20. I think with a single player game your expecting at least a 15-20 hour experience.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 17 February 2015 Posted 17 February 2015 But then Alien Isolations biggest complaint in the reviews and a few of my mates was it was too long at 20ish hours. There's an achievement in The Evil Within to complete the game in under 5 hours. The Episodes in Half Life took me around 2 hours each but I'd of paid £100 for the pleasure of playing them. Completely depends on the sort of experience you're trying to create.
lavrentis Posted 17 February 2015 Posted 17 February 2015 Bought a white PS4 yesterday, it's sexy as ****

Taking longer though I expect than on an easier skill setting. For me it feels just about right so far.
FrankieADZ Posted 17 February 2015 Posted 17 February 2015 what i dont get though, is why is it every PS exclusive game(except Uncharted) get panned called crap etc...(even when they arent) while Wii U & Xbox ones dont get called at all. just what ive notice as all.

Well... Knack was 100% dogshit. Depends where you read though, every console has its fanboys but I think Nintendo gets too much respect for putting out the same old stuff over and over On another note - Halo is shit, Smash Bros is absolute horseshit, Zelda is a great big alpaca shit. Xbox One and PS4 are much of a muchness so far, not really come across any real must-have exclusives on either yet. Nintendo disgust me, they can take their Wii U and stuff it up their family-friendly fudge-funnel.

Taking longer though I expect than on an easier skill setting. For me it feels just about right so far. I loved isolation, huge fan of the franchise and feel it's the first game that's absolutely nailed the atmosphere. Just saying some of my friends and some of the reviews thought it was far too long, point being some people prefer to digest much more concise games in terms of length/content. So to some people a really brilliant 6 hour game will be much more enjoyable than a 50 hour one of equal quality. I personally don't mind if I play a game for 3 hours or 20 (I like big open world games like red dead or far cry but rpgs of 50-100 hours+ are nearly always too much), some people will always think some games are too long or too short, regardless of quality.
