Danns is a decent championship player just ask palace or huddesfield fans he just hasn't had a run in the first team for getting on for a year. And it's funny people using his youtube song to mock him: 1. Who gives a flying **** about that 2. I could dig posts up from when he first signed where people were going over board loving his music to be fair, it's all a bit cringe worthy. Anyway seems like a decent chap that got him self some of those Sven era wages which was probably a big factor why he has been frozen out completely.

Good luck at Bolton - as he seems like a top bloke I was also happy when we signed him as I thought Sven had actually learnt that signing a more gritty player was what we needed in these kind of games where we kept losing to shite. But the reality was, he's a very average footballer. He's certainly not a defensive midfielder and he hasn't got any real presence either. To an extent, he can dribble and shoot, but to no special standard. Although some of our fans may provoke him, the way he keeps reacting (and sadly gets people lick his arse) is embarrassing and he seems genuinely more bothered about his singing 'career' rather than his football one. All this and he's on wages that attracted him here rather than to Rangers, or a Premier League side (ironically it was Bolton) at the age of 28 was it? He's the first player in the squad I'd get rid of now and I'm absolutely howling at the fact lightning is about to strike for a third time. He's better than a bottom of the league Championship side but he's closer to that level than a promotion chasing side. I'll be delighted to see the back of him.

Bettsj2 Posted 26 September 2013 Posted 26 September 2013 He looks a good player on occassion but more often than not looks gash. In a midfield 3, he probably would have been ok as he'd have 2 to back him up but in a 4-4-2, he just doesnt have enough tools. Expect this to be made permanant in Jan.

Aus Fox Posted 26 September 2013 Posted 26 September 2013 Not a good championship midfielder, looks good in poor sides, crystal palace finished 20th and 31sy the season he was there, Huddersfield went from top 6 to lucky to survive when he was there. A weak championship midfielder that try's hard so stands out in poor sides.

FFP only currently affects the football league not the premier league, so in that context we are a big club with the money. I don't think anyone that has watched Danns and Beckford play will ever wish they played for us again. And thanks to Nigel we are now not a Cov waiting to happen, we have got rid of big earners and now have young players on less money who have more quality potential and actually want to play.
