Corky Posted 24 October 2013 Posted 24 October 2013 The club will do remarkably well to find a Classic Match to show before this one. When was the last time we played them?
lgfualol Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Had a dream about the game, Marcin was in goal In the past, we;ve won all games that were in my dreams.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Bournemouth have an amazing away support apparently and have lots if young attractive women following them. Bonus is they are all cherries still
Leicester_Numan Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 The club will do remarkably well to find a Classic Match to show before this one. When was the last time we played them? Quite a while ago, the last ones I remember are the consecutive boxing day matches under Pleat and I'd hardly call those classics. 2 of the most boring, depressing matches I've ever had the misfortune to attend. We must have played them since that but I can't be bothered to check at the momentEdit - I've just remembered, we played them at home on 3 consecutive boxing days and I refused to go to the 3rd because of the previous 2 boring 1-0 defeats. Wouldn't you know it, we won 2-1 Edit - Now I've checked, these are the only seasons we've played them. 1 home win and 2 away wins apiece
Dan Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 First time we've played them in my lifetime. First time we've played them at home that hasn't been on boxing day.
Chairman of the Bored Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Good article in the Bournemouth Ohec about those 3 Christmas games we had against the Cherries in the 70s/80s: http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/10762376.Cherries__trips_to_Leicester_as_regular_as_Only_Fools_and_Horses_festive_specials/ I support Leicester (obviously), but have been 'following' Bournemouth since 1970 as best mate moved there in 1969. Good little club (ruined on more than one occasion by knobheads), good fans and a great manager in Eddie Howe. Key battles tomorrow: Drinky vs Arter Wes vs Rantie Lloyd vs Francis (if he plays right back) We should have a bit too much pace for them up front, but do not under-estimate this Cherries side as they are pretty nippy. 2-1 City

What I remember about the first 2 games is that because of the stupidly early kick offs, our fans were still either drunk or hung over from Christmas day or were stone cold sober as the pubs hadn't even opened at that time of the morning, resulting in really strange atmospheres. Our whole team played like they were stuffed on turkey and hung over as well. Bloody awful games, 2 of the worst performances I've ever seen from us but if they wish to believe they won because they played well, they can carry on believing it. Can't argue with their goals, but really, they were as poor as we were
ealingfox Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 These have the worst defensive away from home. To be fair to them that damage was done in August, they've only lost one away since.

Bert Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 To be fair to them that damage was done in August, they've only lost one away since. But not won in their last 5.

If Lloyd can get past him he'll be left for dead but Francis likes a tackle and is a big unit to get past. Should be a good match up. I reckon we'll will tomorrow, Bournemouth are hard working but I do think they lack quality, especially at the back. Get a goal ahead and we'll be fine.

A friend of mine has just got a job at the Uni. I'm hearing good things about it. My lady's bro did a film course there in the 90s, and really enjoyed it.

My lady's bro did a film course there in the 90s, and really enjoyed it. Just started my final year doing Environmental Science. It's a cracking little Uni,everything's geared more towards professional development and experience, not just the academic stuff. Yeah the TV and Media department here is meant to be the best in the country! A few of the lads I know doing Journalism run Cherries Player, AFCB's version of Foxes Player, get to interview players, go to away games for free and everything!
Corky Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 To be fair to them that damage was done in August, they've only lost one away since. We'll create chances, most keepers have played well against us at the KP since the Leeds match.
ealingfox Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 But not won in their last 5. Yes, they have. They beat Millwall at home before the international break, and won at Doncaster 4 away games ago.
eye666 Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Young keeper who hasn't played in a while by the looks of it. Shoot on sight for first 15 minutes methinks. Except Lloyd. Not you Lloyd...
NewburyFox Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Yes, they have. They beat Millwall at home before the international break, and won at Doncaster 4 away games ago. Think he's on about just away games
ealingfox Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 Think he's on about just away games That's why I added the Doncaster bit, because that would still be wrong.
NewburyFox Posted 25 October 2013 Posted 25 October 2013 That's why I added the Doncaster bit, because that would still be wrong. No idea what he's on about then!
