21st Century Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Share Posted 27 October 2013 Shit! I love Lou. I remember hearing he had a liver transplant but I thought he was doing well. Rock n' Roll Animal might be my favourite live album ever. The opening Sweet Jane is unsurpassable.
inckley fox Posted 27 October 2013 Share Posted 27 October 2013 Oh dear, very sad. Haven't listened to him for a while, but there were a few Velvet Underground songs that always take me back to uni days (Murder Mystery, I think, I'm Set Free and pretty much anything off the Nico album). ozleicester Posted 28 October 2013 Share Posted 28 October 2013 The first car i bought had an 8 track stereo system in it, it came with 2 cartridges, One i think was a Dylan cartridge, but that gort chewed upo the first time i put it in....... The other was Lou Reed's " Transformer". As this one actually played and i didnt have an alternative, i grew to love Lou. For those who may never have seen an 8 track cartridge, this is similar to how mine looked http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8-track_tape
