I wanted to be in an end stand as I prefer it when we played Burton in the cup last season only to be told I wasn't allowed to go in the only end the club opened for the game. I feel this infringes my ability to watch my club how I want without harassment. Police bad language in the family sections all you want, they actively warned and occasionally ejected people for swearing in the North Stand at Filbert Street, but outright telling people where they can and can't sit is ludicrous. Oy! Yes you geezer. Stop ranting, and sit down in that corner, No you prune, THAT bleed'n corner.

Do you moan you can't sit in the disabled seats? I thought you were above comments like that Babs. Very disappointing. It's not that simple is it. That may be my attitude when attending a restaurant but football is a very different thing and you know it. People have right to voice their displeasure, people want to go to the football they just don't like a lot of aspects about their experience these days. It's rather sad that you view football in such a clinical way, maybe it's sign of you getting old. Why are you siding with the club on this? Why are being really defensive and refusing to accept criticism of something that is blatantly wrong, unnecessary and just all round negative? Didn't you used to work for the club?

I've asked that no one has responded though. yes earlier it just said the family stand, then they changed it and said what blocks it is. So by this it means anyone can buy tickets in N block and hopefully we don't have any stewards hassling us. If they come up against forest make sure to show them this

So it's discounted for dad's to be able to take their kids..... the future fans of the club. But those were the prices before you had to have a kid with you. What about when the future fans get older and become current fans? They'll be pissed off and might not bother anymore because they're getting ripped off and the club is working against everything they believe in.

They can go to the club-approved singing area to sing club-approved songs, as printed in the club-approved programme. If you don't like it, don't go.
Solihullfox Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 You can agree or disagree with the club stance on this blah blah etc etc......I just can't believe that the club have chosen Saturday to do this. It's a local derby with fans who may well be more hyped up with us playing Florist, stewards who will have been instructed to follow the edicts that they are given before the game and a full contingent of away fans who will enjoying the sight of potential trouble that could ensue in the family stand. Disaster waiting to happen and not thought out by the club at all. It will get even worse IF the game is sold out. Assuming they do eject fans who should not be in the family stand and they are offered the opportunity of paying to relocate, if it's sold out then where do they go ? The real answer is for the club to put proper ticket arrangements in place for the Family Stand which would avoid the abuse of the reduced pricing and checks wouldn't then be needed. Bad timing to do this and hope nothing happens to ruin the day.

The family stand and the away section. One is for families the other is for away fans, why are people going in the only part of the stadium that they are not supposed to? Then complaining when they are told they can't? You wouldn't complain for being kicked out the away section if you're not an away fan, it is the same thing. It's simple about 80% of the ground is for everyone, 20% isn't, if you are that desperate to sit in the family stand then have some kids, otherwise just accept it and sit somewhere else, and if you don't like the atmosphere there, then make some fvcking noise.

The problem is there are now only 2-3 blocks where any kind of atmosphere has any chance of being generated. Attempts have been made to rouse atmosphere in the Kop, and they've usually failed either due to the existing fans in that section or the club actively nipping it in the bud. The club knows this and are clamping down on one such area. Expanding the atmosphere are of the East Stand is a non-starter as outside of L and K as you start to enter some of the most expensive areas of the ground. I really fail to understand why the family stand can't be the area in front of the club restaurant as suggested.

What world are you living in? Standing isn't allowed in the Kop unless you're at the very top and not in the East Stand unless you're in the top half of the left hand side. Talk about twisting things to suit an argument.
PAULCFC Posted 6 November 2013 Posted 6 November 2013 As someone who remembers the orange seats of the Family Stand at Filbo (the ones under the "executive boxes") and being sat on the wall on the old main stand when younger, it seems to me that our family stand at the moment is way too big(i've got 2 under fives before anyone starts!)I still sit in the kop,but this season you could see clearly the amount of extra people who had gone to the family stand as a cheaper alternatitive and fair play to them....i know i would have done the same if i didn't sit with a good bunch of lads who we've got to know over a few seasons.At the end of the day,our ground suffers from a atmosphere that is similar to most new grounds.
