In response to the comment about being next to away fans, there's my point proved, i want to stand, i want to sing, but I can only do that next to the away fans cuz it's Banter, try backing your ****ing team. Or move to L1 or K or wherever it is to scream whatever shit you want. I tend to go to a game to watch it, I find the view helps with that. As for the above comment yes and I think that is part of the problem, which relates to cost, I personally think the club should have a family stand, don't care where, but that is for adults and kids that are under16 lets say and you buy a ticket that relates to your situation, ie 1 parent 2 kids, 2 parents 1 kid, 2 parents 2 plus kids etc. Then people may understand the concept of the family stand and it's purpose, for people to get their knickers in a twist over something that essentially is bending the rules a little to start with, well it shows we must be doing ok. As all we have to moan about is tickets!! so if they want a family friendly area for families for kids under 18...they imo....but them in the west stand corner next to the family end. as i thought the family end was for families regardless of age.

Since people have started standing more in N, it's got loads of the kids singing, waving flags etc. It actually gets relatively loud in there. When I was sat in the East Stand near the Kop, the volume difference was so noticeable - you could hear a pin drop. I'd like to know if there have actually been any complaints from parents at all. I'm sure it's just an attempt to get rid of the standers easier.

I don't know the current rules, as my original post suggested the club have made a rod for their own back, however I was of the thought, that you had to buy a concession of u-16 to purchase a adult ticket. However this may not be the case. But the article says it is to clamp down on people buying tickets on their own, which the club should be able to stop anyway as they are the ones selling them in the 1st place.

Sticking them in P3-JTT-A2 & C1-JTT would be a better idea, as nobody hardly sits in those corners anyway. I sit in the family stand, and I have a guy three rows back of me who shouts shoot all the time. Stick a "shoot man" on every single row, that will be a better idea.

Who knows whether those in N Block are encouraging the kids and parents to get involved in a positive way, to increase the atmosphere and enhance their experience without the club led attempts? We never hear about them, but I'm sure they exist. Just because they don't conform exactly to the rules it's either brushed aside or clamped down on. Personally, I don't think every word as a swear word is pleasant to listen to. Swearing can be witty in context, in certain songs. The odd swear word isn't going to hurt them and as hairy said the parents aren't shy on joining in or leading it. I reckon you'd get a fair number of families who would find it a shame if those contributing to atmosphere in that area are refused to enter.

I completely commend any effort to improve our atmosphere but this effort was never going to end well. It was just crying out for some busy mother/father to complain to the club about the bad language and aggressive behaviour. That has probably happened and the club are enforcing a rule that the family stand is for...families. If that is the case the family stand and kop should be swapped around

Maybe the ground has been quiet for ten years because of the absolute dross we have been subjected to? If it is the design of the stadium we're hardly able to change that now. Keep your eyes on the team and not the away fans is my argument.

They still have easy access to the buses (ish) and we can fill that corner and J1/H2. I think there's issue to both though: Moving the families would mean access to the club shop unavailable to the families who move to JTT and A2. Moving the away fans might mean changes to the concourse, police being unhappy with it and their fans having a 'better' view.

I have friends who were heavily involved in the application and planning for the King Power Stadium and they've told me some very interesting stories from that time.Well, I clearly do. I've already stated one of the reasons the kop is where it is in this thread, and it's 100% fact.

So why would anyone even want to sit with a load of kids... actually don't answer that!!! Yeah I realised that might sound stupid considering we hardly sell out . Just seems an extreme measure to take. Fair enough if season tickets in that stand are reserved for families (although that'll p*$$ of people already in those seats). Oh boy, you've opened a can of worms now babs

Something to do with the sunshine played a big factor in it.... You ever noticed that the family stand has the sun on it more than anywhere else in the ground.....

Safety reasons, more families the more money is spent etc etc etc ...but why encourage and even release utter press b0llox about 'being the 12th man' and in the same breath 'but you mustn't stand'. On par with these new random rules. Extra hassle for what should be a care free sporting event.

You told me I was wrong for saying the away fans were not allowed to be situated near the Kop and therefore you are wrong. In the first application of the stadium the away fans were not going to be placed in the position that they are now. They were placed near the Kop and one of the reasons they had to redesign was due to police objections.

It's full of 10 year-old kids that love giving abuse to the away fans, without being provoked by the own Dads or whatever, so why should all the Over 18's without kids suffer? Horrendous decision, so disappointed.
