bovril Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 What a goal. What a player. To have a guy like this in our team..... only post our goals please Agree with this!
Fox92 Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 Should have saved the third goal imo. Both goals are soft.
johnny the fox Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 very soft second goal... is kasper being investigated for betting?
lcfcsnow Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 very soft second goal... is kasper being investigated for betting? Weird, didn't even try to save it.
NathanBlueFox Posted 3 December 2013 Author Posted 3 December 2013 Weird, didn't even try to save it. match fixing!!
Monsell1976 Posted 3 December 2013 Posted 3 December 2013 To be fair watching the goals back, schmeichel should be doing better with them, at least getting something on the them

To be fair watching the goals back, schmeichel should be doing better with them, at least getting something on the them Nothing worse than non-keepers criticising keepers. From a keeper's point of view, there is nothing that Kasper could have done better for the goals tonight. If you want to look for fault, look at the failure of our defenders to close down quicker. First goal was a rocket, and the second was put in to 'the corridor of doubt'. In other words anybody could have got a touch on it and that's what he was waiting for. It was just one of those that you see from time to time where the cross curls in and becomes a shot. He can't commit to it because then he'd be unable to react to any touches on the ball. Nothing annoys me more in football than fans expecting too much of keepers. Literally no idea.

You know about my football career then, you know what position I played, you must be the only one to know about football, behave yourself.Yes the defence was being left expose by the lack of support from midfield, and the defence didn't seem to want to commit to a tackle, but as a top keeper, kasper would be disappointed not to get at least something on it, he was slow across his box, and the Ipswich goal the same, very slow getting down. So before assuming nobody else has ever played football, and your the only one who has any knowledge, stop your arrogants, and think maybe I'm not the only one that has played the game, and just maybe people have played at good levels.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Poor goals to concede. Waso got shown that he isn't a right back yesterday
Monk Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 Poor goals to concede definitely. Both are pretty similar and good finishes but Was didn't cover his man and both could have been saved. Disappointing.

Disappointing.Agree, he was left exposed, but was could have closed him down, or at least made him go outside, instead of letting him cut inside and get a shot off.

So you are saying people that aren't keepers aren't allowed to criticise keepers? Just because many people don't play in a certain position that does not mean that have no idea about goalkeepers. You're right about him berating the defence but he should have saved that second one. That was not good enough from the best keeper in this league.

Nothing annoys me more in football than fans expecting too much of keepers. Literally no idea. Thank you. I have been saying as much on another thread. 99% of the time with that sort of cross, at least one player comes flying in with his toe out trying to stab the ball in. That's what most people, including Kasper, would and should expect from a ball like that.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 So you are saying people that aren't keepers aren't allowed to criticise keepers? Just because many people don't play in a certain position that does not mean that have no idea about goalkeepers. You're right about him berating the defence but he should have saved that second one. That was not good enough from the best keeper in this league. Haha Bert you can read his post a thousand times and discern very clearly that he wasn't saying that. He has made several good points about the "corridor of doubt" and nobody has offered a counter-argument other than "not good enough" or some trite variation. Kasper has a fraction of a second to either commit to the unaltered path of the cross, leaving the entire goal open for the slightest touch from either his own defender or the oncoming attacker, or stay put and expect to have the ball stabbed at him after a lunge from the Wednesday lad in the 6 yard box. The fact that nobody dives in makes him look like he didn't do anything. And by the way, you're essentially making the claim that there is no correlation between experience and knowledge. It makes a big difference if you've played in goal or not, and I don't mean for your 5 a side team or down the park, but properly played in goal in competitive 11 a side matches. It looks so different between the sticks looking out but people who have no idea what it is actually like feel perfectly comfortable delivering their opinions with certainty.
Bert Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 I know that, had 2 seasons in the sticks myself albeit a good ten years ago. But saying "non keepers criticising keepers" was to me basically Nod saying that anyone but keepers can't criticise. I'm sure if you ask Kasper he'll have said he should've saved the second.
Silverdaz Posted 4 December 2013 Posted 4 December 2013 We were beaten by the only class player on the pitch today Conor Wickham oh if we could only afford this chap
