BigWesMorgan Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel - 5 Not his best Wasilewski - 3 Very, Very poor. Couldn't control himself Konchesky - 6 Didn't do much wrong Morgan - 4 Like wasyl, Pretty bad Miquel - 7 Best defender Drinkwater - 4 Should of scored at the start. Passing poor. No creativity Hammond - 4 Didn't do anything King - 6 Good goal, Didn't go much else Nugent - 2 Terrible. Less said the better Vardy - 4 Didn't do anything but scrapped away Dyer - 5 A few good runs. Better passing. No service Knockaert - 8 Needs to start, Best player, So much confidence Taylor-Fletcher - 6 Decent stint Wood - 4 Didn't do much but was better than nugent
brockmyster Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel - 5 Needs to learn how to kick a ball at times Wasilewski - 4 can see not a natural rb at all Konchesky - 6 steady once more Morgan - 5 saved us a fair few times, again Miquel - 5 steady enough Drinkwater - 4 energetic for a bit, shit passing, typical performance from mr over rated Hammond - 0 useless just like tuesday, waste of money King - 5 actually showed he cared unlike some Nugent - 3 only saving grace is he covered in defence a few times Vardy - 3 barely in the game, only good thing was corner he won Dyer - 4 ran at them a few times Knockaert - 7 start him without him we have no creativity simple as Taylor-Fletcher - 6 finally used him, scrappy and plugged away Wood - 4 did **** all again
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Kasper 5 Was 3 Morgan 6 Miquel 6 Konchesky 6 Hammond 5 Drinkwater 5 King 6 Dyer 5 Nugent 4 Vardy 5 Knockaert 6 GTF 6 Wood 5. I see the Knockaert arse licking is in full flow. Even though many many times he had the ball in decent areas or tried too much and end product by in large was poor other than the one cross for the goal. When Drinkwater doesn't control the midfield we tend to lose. Nugent is on borrowed time now surely? Atleast when Vardy doesn't play well he puts a shift in and makes it uncomfortable for defenders.
AKCJ Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel - 5 At fault for the first and should have saved a fairly shit penalty Wasilewski - 3 Doesn't look like the player his CV tells us. Makes basic errors too often. Lucky to not get sent off. Morgan - 4 One of his worst games in a City shirt. Unlucky to give the pen away but to be fair I thought during our purple patch he did good. Miquel - 6 Can pass it around nicely but he doesn't look like a centre half. Lacks pace and strength. Knockesky - 4 Shit defending for the first and was often caught out of position. To be fair he didn't get much support. Hammond - 2 Didn't get into the game. Bridcutt had our entire midfield in his pocket. Drinkwater - 5 Should have scored. Our best midfielder but he wasn't anywhere near his best today. King - 4 Would have been a 3 without the goal. Totally anonymous but he popped up when he needed to. Dyer - 6 He's our only out and out winger but he's told to drift in all the time. Started the game excellently. Nugent - 2 Please just drop him. Not funny anymore. Vardy - 7 Our best starter. Never stopped working and showed some real quality at times. He's got a good touch now.
Leicester Lass Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel 5 - Cost us a goal again. Terrible distribution for their first. Wasilewski 5 - Lucky to be on the pitch. He's just not a RB, struggled all game. Morgan 5 - Really poor again. Spent more time manhandling their strikers than trying to defend against them. Miquel 6 - The better of the two CBs, although not too great. Konchesky 6 - Caught out by a few overhead diagonal balls. Though he was the pick of the back 4 for me. Hammond 4 - Just offers nothing, no protection to the back four whatsoever. Sideways and backwards all the time when he has the ball. Drinkwater 6 - Tried to make things happen but it just wasn't his day. King 6 - Tidy header for the goal. Put himself about when we didn't have the ball, but just didn't have any influence on the game when we had the ball. Dyer 6 - Was a real threat in the first half, and our only threat at that. Faded badly second half. Nugent 4 - Unbelievably poor. Just no impact on the game at all. Looked disinterested. Time for a stint on the bench. Vardy 6 - Never stopped trying but just couldn't make anything happen. Looked much better when he went central. Knockaert 7 - Gave us a much needed lift. Tried a bit too hard to do everything himself. Wood 5 - Couple of decent touches. Not sure why Pearson played him just behind Vardy though? GTF 5 - Again lots of effort with not much to show for it.

Bert Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel 4 - if anyone can tell me anything positive to come out of his game, please do. Wasilewski 4 - Was restricted in what he could do after five minutes, cheers ref. Even so he was shit. Konch 6 - one of a select few to come out of the game with any kind of credit. Morgan 5 - Pants. This contract situation is having a big effect. Miquel 5 - A bit meh. Nothing outstanding but neither was he bad. Hammond 4 - What was the point of him today? He's there to protect the back four and didn't do it. Drinkwater 5 - Gave the ball away too much today. Tried driving us forward as normal but a lack of movement hindered that. King 6 - Nice header, covered ground. Got on with things quietly as normal. Dyer 5 - Another end product failure from Lloyd. Vardy 5 - Won us a corner by pressuring their keeper, otherwise nothing came off for him. Nuge 4 - Seemed to walk about for most of the game, then was switched to the right where he did even less. Knocky 7 - Terrorised them. Pearsons insistence on punishing for lack of discipline back fired. Wood 4 - Did next to nothing. GTF 5 - Some nice little bits of play. But no great contribution.
FoxTrott Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel 5 - didn't do anything good, probably summarises it neatest.Wasilewski 4 - kept drifting into CB position, didn't offer anything attacking on the right flank, where we really could have used it in the first half. Could'e easily been off. Pearson clearly trusts him to keep him on for the last 30 being as reckless as he was.Morgan 5 - got away with a lot. Not his best game at all.Miquel 6 - looked composed on the ball, very good for his age.Konchesky 5/6 - some good runs, maybe looked better than he actually was because of how poor Was was (ha).Hammond 5 - looked all right for the first 5 minutes when we weren't being dominated. Rapidly faded greyer than the shirt he was in.Drinkwater 6 - neat ideas. None came to fruition.King 6 - nice goal. Did the old King disappearing act when we were being overrun. Dyer 6 - very strong first half. A shame he was subbed off. Always offers a threat that can't be overlooked. Nugent 4 - not today.Vardy 4 - not really.Knockaert 7 - game changer. Buoyed the crowd. Actually challenged the defence. Wood 4 - put in the wrong place. Didn't really have much of a chance. Offered little.Fatty Taylor 7- good impact sub. Useful late season player. Crowd - poor. As poor as I've heard in a few seasons considering the numbers. But when you pay £32 to see your team concede early, only to concede again not long after. Put this one behind us, onwards to two massive games.

What is this thing that we hear time and again regarding King 'getting on with things quietly'. That's all well and good when we are winning. But in that first half today, we sounded completely over-run. That ISN'T getting on with things quietly, that's having no influence on a football match. And I only mention King because this is said so often about him. When we are being so over-run, I don't want to see a 'quiet' King... I want to see a busy, in their faces, crunching tackling, chance-making King.
eastendfox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Hard to give anyone more than 5. Was, Hammond, Nugent definitely 3 or less. Pearson was clueless today, wrong team, wrong formation most of the time. Not sure how we now turn it round.
Guest ttfn Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 On the train back to London... Schmeichel 5 - Nothing to do but pick the ball out of the net 3 times. Shit distribution led to the 2nd. Wasilewski 2 - Shit. Morgan 4 - He's been carried by the rest of the defence this season. Last season he was a behemoth. This season not so much. Today? Out-thought and out-fought. Miquel 5 - Meh Konchesky 6 - Best defender. Which isn't saying much. Painfully slow tracking back for their second. Hammond 2 - Are you (2012) Wellens in disguise? SO PONDEROUS. Drinkwater 4 - Slow in possession and poor but not helped by what was in front (and behind) him. King 5 - Nicely taken goal and almost made something out of nothing straight after but otherwise invisible. Vardy 4 - Worked hard. No quality. Nugent 2 - What is this guy doing in the first XI at the moment? He has shown time and again that he is a good striker at this level but he's been shit for months. Doesn't even work hard any more, which is something you always used to be able to say for him. Dyer 5 - Our only outlet in the first half. Subs: Knockaert 7.5 - Comfortably the best player on the pitch in the second half. We didn't give him the ball enough. GTF 7 - Dove-tailed nicely with Knocky. Would like to see that more often. Wood 4 - Ineffective. Pearson 0 - Dreadful, insipid, uninspired team selection. Fans 0 - I include myself in that.
chavdonk Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 why is everyone slating Marcin? he's a centre half not a full back, its obvious he's not going to attack. square peg in a round hole. This player rating should be considered as a manager rating for todays game.....

bigneville Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel - 5 - Distribution was poor, made a needless save for the camera's and often played the team into trouble in the 1st half. Wasilewski - 4 - Appreciate he was being played out of position and in the first half had absolutely no cover in front of him at times. However, he was off the pace, touch was poor, passing poor and struggled with the Brighton frontline. Right-back is not his long term position. Morgan - 6 - Had a really physical battle with Barnes, and I think generally won. Gave away the penalty, which I thought was harsh. Miquel - 5 - Without doing anything terrible, didn't have a positive impact in anyway. His lack of experience showed today. Koncheskey - 5.5 - Got forward well at the end, which recovered him a few marks. However, often gave the ball away, and struggled with the Brighton widemen. Hammond - 4 - Too slow, the game was far to quick for him. Went backwards nearly every time he got the ball. Drinkwater - 6 - The one midfielder who tried to go forward with the ball in possession, but his execution wasn't where it has been. King - 5 - Took his goal well, but the game seem to bypass him. Dyer - 5 - So frustrating. No end product. Nugent - 5 - Poor, offered very little to the side. Rightfully replace. Vardy - 5 - Very little impact until put through the middle and partnered with Wood. Subs Knockaert - 7 - A true threat going forward. Team seemed lifted by his presence. However, didn't actual create anything clear cut. Wood - 6 - A different threat, no major impact, but his presence seemed to allow others to get more into the game. Taylor-Fletcher - 7 - Improved the side when he came on, got into good positions and was positive.
harpendenfox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 The pies - 10 - I went for the steak and ale. An excellent crust, crammed full of meat and warmed to perfection. Served by a pleasant young east European lady too

MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Schmeichel - 5 First goal against was initiated by his poor kicking, otherwise didn't have a lot to do Wasilewski - 2 Both mentally and physically not on the pitch today Konchesky - 6 Ran his socks off, couple of good drives and crosses going forward, probably our best defender today Morgan - 4 Look at it this way: He didn't get as bossed by Brighton as he did when he faced Wickham a few days back Miquel - 6 Solid Drinkwater - 4 Disappeared more and more as the game progressed Hammond - 5 See Drinkwater, yet a bit more effective King - 5 Scored the only goal for us - but what else did he do? Nugent - 2 Was he even on the pitch? Vardy - 4 Huffed and puffed, no support from midfield and when he had his chance, he wasted it Dyer - 5 Ineffective, got pushed off the ball too often, had hardly any chance against Brighton's defenders Knockaert - 7 Added much-needed flair, but should've started Taylor-Fletcher - 6 Had a good chance to score an equalizer Wood - 5 At least he tried
Finn Claw II Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 That was almost as bad a Leeds Pearson 1 - it didn't take 45 minutes to understand that the side was set up completely wrong. Wasileski will get slaughtered but I blame Pearson for that. We don't have the players to boss a tight game so we need to attack. Knocky has to start Kasper - 5 - I think he could have done better with the penalty and I don't think he commanded his area Wasilewski - 4 - He was served a shit sandwich given the formation he had no cover (vardy / nugent didn't really know how to support) should have been sent off Morgan - 5 - Poor by his standards not sure if this was to do with him worrying about his right back all day Miquel - 6 looked tidy Koncky - 6 coped with what they had to offer down that flank and supported the attack King / Drinkwater - 5 offered nothing in the first half they were next to useless no protection for the defense Hammond - 4 was he on the pitch? Dyer - 5 was an outlet but didn't produce anything of note Nugent - 4 was he on the ptich? Vardy - 5 runs around a lot but didn't take his chance Knocky - 6.5 best attacking threat we have Wood - 5 - meh Taylor Fletcher - 5 meh FYI my run this season is Leeds, DO
Langston Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Schmeichel 4 - Distribution was terrible, yesterday.Wasilewski 2 - Unconvinced by him at right-back, hampered himself early doors with a very, very silly foul.Morgan 4 - Categorically the worst I've seen from him in a Leicester shirt, dreadfully caught out at times.Miquel 5 - Slightly better than Wes but still hardly commanding. Backed off a little too much for their second.Konchesky 5 - Like the rest of his defensive counterparts, caught out far too often by a Brighton attack that really isn't as prolific as we made them appear.Hammond 3 - Was put in the squad to screen the back four, mop up quickly and track runners from midfield. Did nothing but recycle the ball so lethargically. Not great.Drinkwater 4.5 - Nowhere near as sprightly as he has been this season, but not helped by a complete lack of options or movement bar Lloyd / Knockaert / GTF.King 4.5 - Lovely goal, otherwise missing.Vardy 4 - Grafted to no avail.Nugent 1.5 - Needs to be playing for a contract / to put himself in some kind of shop window and quite simply isn't performing. I'd not be surprised to see us bring in a fresh forward come January.Dyer 5 - Offered something first half, drifted out of the game in the second.Subs:Knockaert 7 - Why he didn't start is beyond me. I'm a staunch Pearson supporter but he's made some ****ing wank decisions over the past week.GTF 6 - Showed some nice touches and some tidy class on the ball, I thought. Offers us something a little different and wouldn't be disappointed to see him starting games for us when he's fully fit and firing.Wood 4 - Better than Nugent, still didn't really do all that much.
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Schmeichel - 4. Poor distribution for their first and could've arguably done better with the cross too. I've no idea what's up with him this season. Losing us more than he's winning. Wasilewski - 3. Knew we'd lose the second he got booked. Straight away it put us at a big disadvantage having an unsuited player in a position which needed pace and energy, and he was lucky to not get a red in the end. Poor defending from him and his worst game in a Leicester shirt. Morgan - 5. Not one of his better days at all. Miquel - 6. He's not a bad player. Konchesky - 5. He's starting to slip again. Hammond - 4. Ineffective. Struggling to see what he offers. King - 6. Gets a six because he scored. Not good enough otherwise. Drinkwater - 5. Quiet game but not a terrible one. Vardy - 5. Worked hard (as usual) but didn't really do enough on the ball. Nugent - 4. Didn't look arsed. Time to be dropped. Dyer - 5. Decent first half but anonymous for the second. Subs; Knockaert - 7. Did more in a minute than the whole team did in 45. He went a little quiet but how this lad doesn't start ever is untrue. We'll lose him one day to a side far better than us. Taylor-Fletcher - 6. Continues to impress me. Neat touches and a good hold up man. I'd seriously consider starting him next week. Wood - 4. Ineffective. Pearson - 2. Set up with unprotected, aging full-backs and wide forwards which we're no real use with. Negativity cost us and he's got to stop doing this. Support - 1. Laughable. We must have one of the quietest away followings in the country these days.

King needs to be in a team where everyone passes the ball quickly and accurately. Not assigned to the role of general labourer in a disjointed team doing two or three jobs at once so that his speed of thought, accuracy, brainpower and ability to score are wasted.
Dan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 Said it many a time but this 'crunching' business is plain silly. More about style than substance. How many crunching tackles does Sergio Busquets (largely regarded as the best holding midfielder on the planet) make? Very few.

Dan Posted 10 December 2013 Posted 10 December 2013 1 is a bit over the top. We've been fairly decent apart from the last two games. Yep I agree - but just not at Brighton where there was next to nothing for most of the game, hence why it scores lowly. It's definitely been better than last year but the last two have been awful. Can see QPR/Stoke being quality though.
