Mack Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Pointless game sandwiched between two of the most important games of our season. And yes this is not hindsight I've been saying it all along, **** the cup. A full house show up for a throw away game but when we needed the fans on Saturday there were 10,000 empty seats, and it was a fans fixture. I wish I understood it all I really do.
Mack Posted 17 December 2013 Author Posted 17 December 2013 Two words: Manchester City. I dont get that either, Man city are hardly a glamour tie, had it been chelsea or man utd etc ok but man city?
MC Prussian Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I dont get that either, Man city are hardly a glamour tie, had it been chelsea or man utd etc ok but man city? All the fairweather fans want to see is the current goalscoring masters of the Premier League, not some insignificant local Championship team.
Fox92 Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 People turn up because of who it is. Compare Manchester City to Burnley for a football fan. Manchester City is a glamour tie, look at the likes of Nasri, Silva and Kompany. That said, I still agree with your point, Burnley and QPR are the bigger/more important games. I'm going QPR on Saturday and can't wait for that. I just don't want this to ruin the players' confidence.
theessexfox Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Yeah, we should have deliberately lost to Fulham. NP out.
bovril Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Football is expensive and people have started to pick and choose the games they go to. It's a cup 1/4 final against one of the best teams in Europe, of course it's more attractive than Burnley.
Captain... Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 How many did Man City bring? How many did Burnley bring? If Man City took the standard 25% allocation for cup games, then there were around 24,000 home fans. It's not all home fans, and I bet there were a few Man City "fans" from Leicester in the home end.
Soup Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I knew I shouldn't have gone.Truly awful atmosphere,I left after 60mins,don't give a shit what people think.I don't go to football to stand there in silence.Don't think I'll bother at all with home games soon.
Jace Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Personally I think if you can only improve and learn from playing against a team like Man City best mid week training session you can have.

Join the club mate, much prefer 1600 away fans on a tuesday night at yeovil than the'silent majority' we had to endure tonight. But, the club gets what it deserves, loads of families with their kiddiewinks, all sat nice and quiet. Just like a library? Our library is noisier than the KP
Foxhateram Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Atmosphere is crap? Why didn't you sing up then rather than leaving. Jesus if no one starts a chant it will forever be silent. Jesus some of you lot will truly moan about just about anything.

It picked up after you left... Here's a thought if you don't like to stand in silence why didn't you make some noise?

Tried singing for 60 mins, top row of the kop.Like flogging a dead horse.I don't make a habit of this but tonight was dreadful. If you found any enjoyment in tonight them we both go to football for different reasons.

Much rather they stay away to be honest. Worst atmosphere down there for years. Prefer 20,000 that are there to support Leicester, rather than 30,000 that don't get involved in the game.

Danno Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Seen some absolute ***** take pictures and cheer David Silva off when he got subbed in our end. Die.

kylestyle06 Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 There was a lad with a damn man city top on in L1 kissing the ****ing badge!! They soon left
Monsell1976 Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 to the kop l1 sounds like that every week.Don't doubt it I struggled to hear l and k tonight, but barring a few lads at the top of the kop nobody attempted to sing really, it nearly got going when we got into the game.Like I say the atmosphere all over was poor tonight, but just expected a little more from the kop
Guest Col city fan Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 To say the atmos was 'poor' tonight is a slight under exaggeration. There were over 31 k in that stadium tonight, all hoping for a close game and some excitement. After their second goal, it sounded like 10k. Nostalgic I may be, but I pine for those cup nights at Filbo. Totally totally different to what we had tonight.
