dayday Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Neil Harris will have them up for this game and there fans will be right behind him,so probably not the best time to be playing them,a draw would be a very good result.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Not a happy hunting ground, form book would suggest we should be winning this comfortably but would be happy to get anything out if this game.
crisp packet Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Any win will do!?! Rest players for the stoke game....? 3 points is a must for me.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Hopefully a convincing win. They will rough us up and watched them v boro on the telly a couple of games ago, they looked clueless. Not the Millwall side of recent years. 3-1 win.
billyn88 Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 I'm hoping that the more savvy Leicester that we've seen this season will show itself and get a professional win here. We've not been out thought but certainly outfought on the previous 3 times I've been. I don't mind losing to a better side but to just lose because they want it more and are more organised is quite hard to take. Three of my most disappointing away days have been here, would be good to end this run. Having said that, I would probably be relatively satisfied with a draw.
ealingfox Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 We're not taking that many.... Leicester City â€@OfficialFOXES3h #lcfcawaytix 1,028 sold for Millwall (01/01/14, 3.00pm K.O.), 976 available to buy from the Den. No tickets available at King Power Stadium.
MooseBreath Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Might have something to do with the fact we have no capable strikers available, we're doing great but are left with the choice of Taylor-Fletcher or Waghorn to partner the already misfiring Nugent in a 442. Vardy has been relatively good this year but it's not as if we're a one-man team relying on him for goals. Waghorn should be able to put in a hard-working performance and on his day he can score goals. GTF is good for the last 30. Another option is Schlupp who would surely relish the opportunity to play upfront. All three perfectly good replacements for Vardy for this game.

taffyfox Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Bloody phone!! Anyone thinking of paying on the gate can have my spare for £20, saving 6 whole pounds..... PM me if interested
Kitchandro Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Well if we're honest we really should be putting these to the sword, but we tend to have off days at the den. It's a real shame Vardy's out, I'd probably replace him with Waggy if he's available because we need that work rate. Failing that, Start Dyer and Knocky behind Nugent with James, Drinks and Kingy in the centre. I don't like the idea of resting Drinky from the start, he's so influential at the moment and with Vardy already missing we'll need him more than ever. I'd rather rest him at Stoke, King is good enough to start in that game and as long as we don't rest too many other players we'll still have a decent chance.
Soar Fox Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 What pubs will people be drinking in for this?
GingerrrFox Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Kasper RDL Morgan Moore Knochesky Knockaert Hammond James Dyer Drinkwater Nugent
Father Ted Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Any win will do!?! Rest players for the stoke game....? 3 points is a must for me. Exactly. I'd take 3 points here and a loss at Stoke any day of the week. We have our best opportunity to return to the Premier League since we were last there and people are on about resting our best players for a pointless cup game against a side we could well be swapping divisions with next season.
Guest MattP Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Too right Ted, anyone suggesting rests in league games over cup matches is nuts in our current position. Kasper RDL Morgan Moore Konchesky Drinks James Knockaert Dyer Noog GTF
jarvo83 Posted 31 December 2013 Posted 31 December 2013 Anyone seriously suggesting the Stoke match is more important than the Millwall game needs to have a word with themselves- rest players? Jokes!
dayday Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Hope we can deal with the conditions today because the weather forecast does not sound good.
ramadaone Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 I honestly can't believe people are still suggesting 433. It has worked maybe 10% of the time we've played it. 442 has worked about 80% of the time. If you took the average points gained playing 442 and spread it across the season we'd finish top with over 100 points. Do the same for 433 and we'd be fighting relegation. I'm truly gobsmacked that people are still suggesting anything other than 442, I really am. Too much FIFA or football manager, not enough real world perhaps. That's the only possible reason I can think of for such a staggering lack of basic logic. This. Why the feck would you want to change a inning formula just because of 1 suspended player ? It's just a simple case of who will replace JV and Wagy is in prime position. I think he will rest players against Stoke as there is ne real expectation on us winning where as Huddersfield last year we were favourites to progress which is ad massive difference.
mugshot Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Anyone seriously suggesting the Stoke match is more important than the Millwall game needs to have a word with themselves- rest players? Jokes! Totally agree, the Millwall match is the important one....League doesnt take second fiddle to the early stages of the FA Cup. I say rest the players against Stoke! Todays match is huge for us given our current position. We need to get a great Jan behind us to keep us at the top. Look at what happened last season!
foxfanazer Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 This game is huge today. It's quite likely Qpr, Derby and Burnley will win so keeping that gap would be great
5waller5 Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 4-3-3 should be perfect for this game. Kasper De Laet Morgan Moore Koncheskey Drinkwater King James Knockaert Nugent Dyer Subs: GTF, Waghorn, Schlupp, Wasyl, Hammond, Logan and Miguel Spot on ..... But if we did go 442 (I can't believe I'm saying this) I'd play Waghorn ..... For the same reason Bolton had Beckford down as the first name on the team sheet that morning.
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 Im pretty sure Pearson will again play a flat 4-4-2 and attack Millwall on the counter. If he does, I dont want to see King starting as one of the central two. We know this game is hugely winnable and it would be great to keep going on this winning run.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 It will be interesting to see who lines up, looking at the other fixtures we really need to bring something back
Buce Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 This game is huge today. It's quite likely Qpr, Derby and Burnley will win so keeping that gap would be great I can see Wigan going away with a point from the Sheepshaggers.
