lavrentis Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Also possible I will win the lotto in that space of time. But very very unlikely 6 wins on the bounce what's another 5 ?
Larry_LCFC Posted 18 January 2014 Author Posted 18 January 2014 If anything, I think the responses recognise that people accept that we are inevitably going to drop points sometime in the near future and that expectation isn't unrealistically high.
Gazza M Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 9 points will be an ideal return and all we really need to keep us on track. 30 points from next 20 games will be enough for automatic promotion. Just keep winning the home games!
VLC86 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 at least 20 points or I'm returning my season ticket
Sharpe's Fox Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 2 points a game is top stuff, so 10 points.
ashfosse Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 missing something? or were you dropped as a kid?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 9 points will be an ideal return Strange use of the word ideal.
whoareyaaa Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 4 Wins and a loss, we don't really do draws.
Weller in Tights Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 13 points The draw will be the Florist game.
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Middlesbrough (H) Birmingham (A) Bournemouth (A) Watford (H) Forest (A) If you look at our fixtures up to the end of February, Middlesbrough (H) Birmingham (A) Bournemouth (A) Watford (H) Forest (A) Ipswich (H) now look at Burnley & QPR Burnley v Brighton & Hove Albion Q P R v Burnley Burnley v Millwall Bolton v Burnley Bournemouth v Burnley Burnley v Nottingham Forest Q P R V Bolton Q P R v Burnley Derby County v Q P R Q P R v Reading Charlton Athletic v Q P R Could well maintain or even increase the 5 point gap.
Leicester1884Filbert Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 10 points would be good... 3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss
Fox92 Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Middlesbrough will be tough. They are improving, I think they'll be a different side to what we beat earlier in the season. That said, we should be looking to take three points from the game, and three points from Birmingham although St Andrews is always a tough place to visit. Same applies to Bournemouth. Think we should be looking to take three points against Watford as well. But I'd take a draw at Nottingham Forest; it's a local game, City Ground is a tough place to visit and they are on a decent run at the minute. But anything could change/happen, it's football. Looking at those fixtures above, Burnley have a tough run of games.
Legend_in_blue Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Win all our remaining home games and I cant see us not going up. Just keep picking up draws or the odd result here or there like today away from home and there will be no stopping us.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 I take one game at a time, but I think the next half dozen will prove a fine indicator of how we end up. Really can only afford to lose one and draw one.
DennisNedry Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Middlesbrough (H) - 3 Points Birmingham (A) - 3 Points Bournemouth (A) - 0 Points Watford (H) - 3 Points Forest (A) - 0 Points 9 Points of a possible 15
Carl the Llama Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Everyone keeps mentioning the importance of 2 ppg, so 10's what we're aiming for. What's realistic? Well it's the Championship so anything could happen, but it certainly looks very feasible that we'll get them. My guess: Middlesbrough (H) - 3 Points Birmingham (A) - 3 Points Bournemouth (A) - 1 Point Watford (H) - 3 Points Forest (A) - 3 Points
EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 9 points would be reasonable. Agreed. Boro have got their act together, they have Given in goal and are playing neat stuff under Karanka. 1 point. Birmingham should be an easy 3 points. Bournemouth should be an easy 3 points, but they are a footballing team so a high scoring game is expected Watford, we should beat but i think we can afford a draw. Forest away will be tough, and i'd take a draw.
Brooksy Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 Middlesbrough (H) - Draw Birmingham (A) - Win Bournemouth (A) - Lose Watford (H) - Win Forest (A) - Win
Stuliasz Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 No points - someone has to keep the balance when people make these dangerous threads. Worked last time anyway!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 18 January 2014 Posted 18 January 2014 I always think every game looks difficult in this division, even when you've won six in a row. Might have to hibernate if we get promoted.
