Jakemoore Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Just seen the highlights from last night. Their pitch is shocking! That'll make it all the more challenging! Not ideal for dyer.
Permafrost Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Aye. The BBC report says it was in danger of being abandoned before half-time. With more rain forecast this week, and I'm heading down on Friday, I just hope it's on!
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 think they have a cover for the pitch as that's what they used to make sure liverpool game was on, I would be very surprised if it isnt covered now! Now I need to check the forecast!
Terrier Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'd be surprised if the pitch makes it for your match if the rain continues.
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'd be surprised if the pitch makes it for your match if the rain continues. it was bad then
separator Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 "I work with the wife of the head groundsman and I don't think they were too impressed that the game continued last night. High chance of the game being off on Saturday as the pitch is completely 'ruined'Read more: http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=61941&posts=4#ixzz2rmpA2paP " Copied from their forum
Terrier Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 There was places where the ball wouldn't move. It if had been called off i wouldn't of been happy despite losing but going all that way and not playing it would be awful.
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I reckon they will have a pitch inspection on friday afternoon!
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Looking at the forecast it wouldn't surprise me if it was postponed
suffolk fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Don't mind if it is. Will give the players a well earned rest before we face Watford at home. Plus no key players picking up injuries like Moore's on a waterlogged surface.
Isle of Wight Fox 86 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 From a personal point of view I hope it does get called off, as I was unable to get a ticket (which is fair enough, people who go more than me should get the chance first) but if its moved to a Tuesday night I have more chance of getting a ticket
MrSpaM Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'd say ours at the weekend was probably even worse tbh, down to different reasons yeh, but it's not exactly unplayable
kingfox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 To test the pitch, they should get hold of the referee's legs and swing him across the pitch, to see how far he slides.
Bert Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 What was up with the pitch there? Boggy yes. But not in a postponement state.
RizLCFC Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Looked fine to me and if they cover it up they're shouldn't be any problems.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 A lot of rain forecast between now and Saturday so we will have to wait and see
KFS Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Looked fine to me and if they cover it up they're shouldn't be any problems.This.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Do not many teams cover their pitch then? As as so many are being postponed lately
Leicesterpool Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'd say ours at the weekend was probably even worse tbh, down to different reasons yeh, but it's not exactly unplayable The pitch doesn't look great but i've seen much worse at non league level and they've still played on, i think the blackpool away from last year looked worse! Anyway if the worst comes to worst only down the road on the same day Salisbury City v Nuneaton Boro kick off 3pm!

Monk Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 That pitch looks great compared to what ours used to be in the 90's
Leicesterpool Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 According to the forecast, the rain is on and off all day. Thursday is apparently going to be cloudy no rain expected! Friday rain and sunshine in the morning, going to piss down though for the rest of the day. Rain also expected Saturday morning!
Guest kristianity77 Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Bournemouth should consider moving to the Ricoh Good idea, but they would have to oust our under 21s first!
kbg Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Hi, Bournemouth fan here in peace, just as long as you all stay peaceful. . Pitch last night was almost unplayable after 20 minutes. Ball either skidding through at a million miles an hour or stopping dead in puddles. Its a decent, and large , pitch normally; and it drains really well. But the large amount of rain in a short time killed the game. The pitch cover was owned by either the FA or ITV, not ours. I'd watch the weather and have the radio on (Radio Solent 96.1 fm) coming down as it could well be off. Suits me fine if its rearranged, on a decent pitch at home we'll give you a decent run for your money; contrary to what some misguided folk on here seem to think. If its on it could be another lottery. BTW, we've got a different keeper now.
