dayday Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 2 inches of rain forecast friday, does not look good
indierich06 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Certainly is. Wouldn't have it any other way. We play easy on the eye pretty football, that lacks a cutting edge. I mean, can you really imagine AFCB in the Premiership? No, I thought not. We have the good fortune of being able to play attractive, attacking football that also takes other teams apart. The only time we ever struggle is when a side parks the proverbial bus. So an open and attacking game would suit us down to the ground - sounds like the pitch could spoil that though.

I'm imagining a Millwall type game like we saw on New Years Day. Hammond was boss that game.
MC Prussian Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Hoping for a 48-hour dry spell on the South Coast.
South fox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Im on the south coast n its dry atm, im only 28 miles from Bournemouth, im having to sit in the Bournemouth end:( maybe all fans in the away end should sing extra loud for the fans in the home end that cannot, how many lcfc fans in the home
joeasis Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I'm also living in Bournemouth, managed to get tickets for the away end though so happy days. It's extremely dark and cloudy here today. Looks like it could be only a matter of time before the heavens open
Dan Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Hi, Bournemouth fan here in peace, just as long as you all stay peaceful. . Pitch last night was almost unplayable after 20 minutes. Ball either skidding through at a million miles an hour or stopping dead in puddles. Its a decent, and large , pitch normally; and it drains really well. But the large amount of rain in a short time killed the game. The pitch cover was owned by either the FA or ITV, not ours. I'd watch the weather and have the radio on (Radio Solent 96.1 fm) coming down as it could well be off. Suits me fine if its rearranged, on a decent pitch at home we'll give you a decent run for your money; contrary to what some misguided folk on here seem to think. If its on it could be another lottery. BTW, we've got a different keeper now. You could be wrong about it not helping you. We really struggled against Middlesbrough when our pitch was bad yet hammered them in the second half when it had improved.
KFS Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 It's expected to lash it down at 3 today. Like Joe says, really murky and dark but it's holding off. I imagine all us Bournemouth lot are going to be flying to FT as soon as it starts raining.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Looks like a bit of a mist over bournemouth http://www.intheelements.co.uk/blog/webcam/bournemouth-beach-webcam/

Vlad the Fox Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 I thought Bournemouth looked a decent team at our place earlier in the season and expected them to do better than they have. However if we can turn it on as we did against derby and the second half and first half against middlesbrough and birmingham then we should have enough to beat them though I feel James and Drinkwater will need to fight hard early on to get hold of the midfield. A sodden pitch could turn it into a hard slog slowing the pace of our game.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 No rain here yet today, but it's meant to bucket down tomorrow. I've spoken to my mate who works at AFCB doing some of the video reporting, he reckons its 50/50. All depends on how much rain we get tomorrow I guess.

Also depends on how fussy the ref is aswell, oh and who is the ref?

LCCFox96 Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 As long as we put in a strong resilient performance as we have done in the last two matches we should be fine. Besides as long as it stops raining at half time we will be fine anyway.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Well i'm due there around 1 tomorrow so I'll keep all up to date with the weather. I don't care if the game gets abandoned with just two minutes gone, as long as they try and get this game on.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 By the way Darren Drysdale is the ref from Lincolnshire, looking at his record refereed alot in non league in the past so i'm sure he's seen a lot worse!
Rich Fox Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Would be better if this game was called off as the amount of rain and wind will not favour our passing game and we would risk another injury similar to moore. We have played a game more anyway and with Watford at home next its a great chance to keep run going. Could not get a ticket anyway like many others not really fair the amount for a sat game.

Are you telling us you want the game called off just because you couldn't get a ticket? Excuse me?

I'll second that. I just hope for your sakes its called off early. Burton fans in the 3rd round of the cup had pretty much all arrived before it was called off. Bournemouth fans clubbed together to pay for more coaches for them to get down for the rearranged match. Bugggered if I'm putting my hand in my pocket for a big club like Leicester.
jonah Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I work down in Bournemouth/Southampton/Portsmouth during the week. Bugggered if I'm putting my hand in my pocket for a big club like Leicester. Read the page of your forum that's been linked here and your posts. It has to be said that, aside from cherry picking some of our idiots and taking a few reasonable posts the wrong way, you seem to be missing your allocation of WUMs, gloom-merchants and lairy idiots. Hope it goes well for you after we've got the game out of the way... To set some of your lads right: Most people on here think it'll be tight, but that we ought to get a result-most neutrals think the same. We've had a few years of near misses and are pretty cautious, so we don't expect to win by default. Nor do our players, which I think has been key to late goals and scrappy wins so far this year...
