Lobsterboyuk Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 How about a new version of "My garden shed..." The King Power pitch, Is bigger than this, The King Power pitch is bigger than this, If you use yards or metres, The King Power pitch is bigger than this
BrummieFOX Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 They better have a cover on the pitch! Heavy rain due all of today and tomorrow morning. Though tomorrow looks brighter.
Simi Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Resigned to the fact this is probably going to be off. Heading down for the weekend, looks like tomorrow will just involve an extra hour and a half of boozing.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I'll selfishly be very pleased if this is off. I know that's cnutish to say when people have booked hotels etc but it'd be good if it was rearranged towards the end of the season

MC Prussian Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Yeah sorry mate hope we smash em and you have great day but don't want our run to end because we play in a flood Millwall away looked just as bad and we did fine.
Bert Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 It's currently sunny in Bournemouth according to the weather app.
KFS Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 It's currently sunny in Bournemouth according to the weather app. Yep, quite murky again today. It started to spit, but it's holding off for now. More as we get it, back to the studio.
kbg Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Read the page of your forum that's been linked here and your posts. It has to be said that, aside from cherry picking some of our idiots and taking a few reasonable posts the wrong way, you seem to be missing your allocation of WUMs, gloom-merchants and lairy idiots. Hope it goes well for you after we've got the game out of the way... To set some of your lads right: Most people on here think it'll be tight, but that we ought to get a result-most neutrals think the same. We've had a few years of near misses and are pretty cautious, so we don't expect to win by default. Nor do our players, which I think has been key to late goals and scrappy wins so far this year... I think most on our site knowmanyof you are realists, there's just a few posts on here from people who seem to have got a bit carried away. Our board finds this hysterical because last season as we marched to promotion playing the best football any of us had ever seen, we were all pretty much convinced we'd screw it up. We're AFCB, unlike the majority of clubs, we've no real history of greatness, we've acheived little in 100 years and have low expectations. (we do however have an enormous pitch) Which makes it real easy to laugh at supporters of 'big' clubs. The whole we're bigger than Forest etc. debate? Very entertaining. We'd have to resort to we're bigger than Yeovil Town. Which, if you've ever been unlucky enoiugh to visit Yeovil, you'd know we'd win hands down. Other than that, we're minnows, who are in the Championship, at present. Leicester will never be our Cup Final, currently that spot is reserved for Leeds for historical reasons. btw. You might want a look at this: http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=61979&posts=22 I feel it my duty to make those without a sense of humour aware that these posts are not serious. We've got idiots, plenty of gloom merchants and the odd windup merchant or two
Simi Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 From their forum Just been talking to the Groundsmen working the pitch. Quote "should be on " ! Pitch has been aerated and is looking remarkably good , if somewhat heavy.Rain forecast today , which they didn't seem to concerned about as strong dry winds tomorrow morning should take care of that . As we're playing the champions elect (self) ,it wont be pretty , but should even things up nicely. So anyone planning to travel down....Start the car !Read more: http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=61992&posts=3#ixzz2ryWUdjAn
Guest ttfn Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 If it's off I hope they make their minds up by 11 so I can get to the QPR v Burnley game.

We've got idiots, plenty of gloom merchants and the odd windup merchant or two I know its all in jest but what is the issue your fans have with us? Because, lets make no mistake about it, that facade is clearly hiding a lot of jealously and contempt. We have an abnormally large amount of bad fans but most of them criticise the club rather than big it up so its a very ill-informed attempt at humour. Still, I like Bournemouth, and aside from our match, hope you have a good season
Oxfordfox83 Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 We've got idiots, plenty of gloom merchants and the odd windup merchant or two Maybe you've picked up a couple from here: most of ours have gone missing (I'd totally forgotten flowwolf until Moosebreath resurrected his thread...). They'll be back in the summer though-like fecking dandelions you never lose them...

We have an abnormally large amount of bad fans but most of them criticise the club rather than big it up so its a very ill-informed attempt at humour. Still, I like Bournemouth, and aside from our match, hope you have a good season There's no jealousy, I speak to a huge number of AFCB fans on a daily basis and on the whole we know who we are and we know what, as a club we're capable of. At this level most clubs have more fans and money, there's no jealousy, it's just the way it is. You may have the fans and the money, we've got the beach. Because of this, generally its all humourus stuff. On the whole any contempt is reserved for Southampton; because they are local, many Scummers fans live in Bournemouth, and because some of their fans have major attitude problems. We took the mick out of the Liverpool fans last week, but considered opinion is that they were a sound bunch who knew their football. So don't take it to heart. btw it's pissing down now.
KFS Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I think the wind is making it sound worse than it is.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Chucking it down here at the moment, doesn't look like stopping any time soon.
BrummieFOX Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 As long as it's nice and windy tomorrow morning and doesn't rain again, we'll hopefully be ok. It was always forecast to piss it down today.
joeasis Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 I used to be a coach in the community at afcb. Text my mate who still works there to see how the pitch was looking, he says they have a cover on it today.
Leicesterpool Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Just arrived and it's absolutely pissing it down!
BrummieFOX Posted 31 January 2014 Posted 31 January 2014 Just arrived and it's absolutely pissing it down! Go and get an umbrella and stand over the pitch then.

We're more inland than that with their ground.
