It's hard to tell, cus he never gets much of a bloody chance to play!

Not much need for him at the moment in terms of the team we've had, we'll see more of him soon enough.

Early signs are encouraging, interesting that he went to the right side and Knockaert to the left, what got me why didnt Dyer and Knockaert switch sides in the first half, when it was so blatant that Dyer was virtually a passenger.

i agree with the managements slow indroduction to the action for Mahrez, it worked with Knocky, he may be more valuable to us at this moment as an "unknown threat"

Difficult to say as we have not yet seen enough of him.

However talk is that he impressive on the training ground.

If the senoir players and management are saying this then he could well become a very good player.

because lloyd cant play on the right very well and Watford wouldve just doubled up on him by shifting their unit over, would've had the same outcome

Looked a bit lightweight yesterday to me.

Take note guys, getting the criticism in early for this lad. Go on, how did he look lightweight? In the 15-20 minutes he played how did you reach this conclusion?

You've got to say, that City's French Scout(ing team ?) must be pretty good, to be able to spot a couple of gems like Knocky and Mahrez in their Second Division.  It might augur well IF we get to the Prem this summer - though I doubt we'll ever match Newcastle's obsession with 'Frenchies' (and they, like so many Prem clubs, only seem to go for French League 1 players)

In other games he has looked to have a good touch and has looked composed.  Yesterday I thought it would show whether he had a different side to his game, as we were under pressure to get an equaliser and Watford were challenging for everything.

He did not seem to have the same impact yesterday and often seemed to get bullied off the ball.  Hence lightweight.

But...plenty of time for him to improve and get used to the English game.

I suppose I should bow to your superior knowledge though Marshall for England, I'm sure you're not one to get carried away by a player's potential !!   lol

He looks composed and classy. He glides around the pitch and opens up space when needed. Also looks capable of injecting a sharp burst of pace too. I see the Di Maria link based in that when I was sceptical about that before.

Compared to Knockaert I don't think he has as many tricks in his locker and looks a little more direct but I would say as equally big a threat. I think he can produce as many assists as Knockaert but I'm not sure about goals. Knockaert is a 9/10 goals per season man but I think Mahrez would only be about 5.

I think he has the potential to become a good premiership player but needs more experience in English football and a solid run in the team to achieve that.

Yesterday he reminded me of Hossein Kaebi.  This isn't a terrible thing though, as that lad had lots of skill and talent but was under a lot of pressure to adapt to English football quickly.

I think Mahrez will have a couple of decent cameos before this season is over though.

But I don't think he is ready to fill Dyer's boots just yet.

He has a long contract, is is part of pearsons bigger plan. Breaking him in slowly is possibly a good idea, rather than over expose him too soon. We will see him soon enough.
