The Guvnor Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 The next six games are pivotal for our chances and looking at the fixtures I believe, looking at teams current form, we have a far easier run. QPR may have two games in hand but hopefully Derby Reading Leeds and Sheff Wed who are in great form will give them a run for their money. QPR Derby Reading Charlton Sheff Wed Leeds Birmingham Burnley Bolton Bournemouth Forest Derby Blackburn Birmingham We have Forest Ipswich Charlton No Kermorgant Wigan Barnsley Blackpool
Langston Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 14 points from that lot would do me very nicely, fancy us to drop against Forest and Wigan but we're imperious at home and should do Barnsley away.
Munshi Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 I reckon we'll get 14 points though if we want to look at it realistically. Realistic Forest - 1 Ipswich - 3 Charlton - 3 Wigan - 3 Barnsley - 1 Blackpool - 3 Optimistically Forest - 3 Ipswich - 3 Charlton - 3 Wigan - 3 Barnsley - 3 Blackpool - 3

sdb Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 We did this at the same stage last season... Just saying!!
MGLCFC Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Burnley have some tricky fixtures - a couple of Lancashire derbies, Forest, Derby and Bournemouth are all games where they could drop points. Hope QPR lose tonight as well as at Reading.
jammie82uk Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 just seen that Anthony Taylor is the ref for the forest game, he's not having the best season having been "rested" a few times so far
Brooksy Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 just seen that Anthony Taylor is the ref for the forest game, he's not having the best season having been "rested" a few times so far He reffed our 2-2 draw last season when he gave them that dubious peno I believe. Jon Moss mk.2
Larry_LCFC Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 There is nothing as such as an "easy run" in the championship. On paper, we should have smashed Watford - we didn't. Every game until the end of the season will be a challenge, lets not think it wont be!

Totally agree it's only going to get harder with teams getting more and more desperate to win to stave off relegation or gain playoff positions
SomalianFox15 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 12 points, potential banana skin at forest and wigan
Deucalion Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 I see the gap to QPR being the same and Burnley catching us up by one point for these fixtures.
Native Fox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 QPR Derby - 0 pts Reading - 1 pts Charlton - 3 pts Sheff Wed - 3 pts Leeds - 3 pts Birmingham - 3 pts = 13 / 18 pts = 69 pts Burnley Bolton - 1 pts Bournemouth - 3 pts Forest - 0 pts Derby - 0 pts Blackburn - 3 pts Birmingham - 3 pts = 10 / 18 pts = 66 pts Leicester Forest - 0 pts Ipswich - 3 pts Charlton - 3 pts Wigan - 0 pts Barnsley - 1 pts Blackpool - 3 pts = 10 / 18 pts = 77 pts
crisp packet Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 We did this at the same stage last season... Just saying!! Thought the same thing when I saw it .....!!!!

Bayfox Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Burnley will drop points in that run of games. Derby. Fword and a local derby against rovers. Could all do damage.
weller54 Posted 10 February 2014 Posted 10 February 2014 Qpr will lose at Sheffield Wednesday.. They're flying!!!!!
foxes1988 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Need to be aiming for a return of about 10 points
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 Need to be aiming for a return of about 10 pointsAt least I would dare to hope for more but not necessarily expect it

Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 If we win three of those games it puts us on 76 points. If win three of the next 6 we will be on 85. If we win one and draw two of the last four we will be on 90 points - that's automatic promotion. That allows us to lose 7 games out of the next 16!! Easier said then done but that thought makes it seem incredibly close!!
Fox92 Posted 11 February 2014 Posted 11 February 2014 14 points would be a decent return for us imo. I'd take draws at Nottingham Forest and Wigan. Ensure we beat the rest. (And maybe Charlton now they don't have Kermorgrant!). Burnley have a couple of tough games, especially Nottingham Forest followed by Derby. Be interesting to see what they take from those two games in particular. Two local derbies in there as well, Bolton, and then their fierce rivalry with Blackburn. Anything could happen. As for QPR, I wouldn't really expect them to lose any of those games now. But it's football, anything can happen and we all know it.
