Dan Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 It wasn't actually but I'll let you assume it was Well how is there any health & safety issue with it?
Buce Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I apologize, and will engage my brain before posting next time Fixed that for you.
jammie82uk Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Well how is there any health & safety issue with it? Not to sound churlish or pedantic but I think it's pretty straight forward why there would be health and safety issues around it
Dan Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Not to sound churlish or pedantic but I think it's pretty straight forward why there would be health and safety issues around it Nope I'm definitely not getting it. I'm struggling to see how banging on the back of a stand is something that is unhealthy or unsafe.
lcfcfem Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I am a foxile and you lot (all) sounded fantastic via the internet. Made me feel very homesick
Soup Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 That'd be sol the wall bamba, with a bit of assistance from me and mrs h. Good to meet Staff, Mr and Mrs Soup Nazi, and bump into Basingstoke Fox again. Just got home, took off my jacket, and found another bag of confetti in a pocket. Saving it for next time. Great effort from everyone today, good to see some 'sitters' further down were joining in. And well done to the rest of the kop for joining in a couple of times. Good to meet you too.A great effort from the three of you, quality.I assume we'll see you again soon.
CPW22 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Please pick a fans fixture next time This could be key to getting more numbers. Yeovil at home?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Don't be so negative mate, we're in it together. Its not being negative its being honest. at the best of times L block is unbeatable. However for saying we're top of the league- byba long way- the place should be rocking. The more I think about it the more frustrates I get with 70% of the fans in there
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Probably done more to improve the atmosphere than you have? Bit of a cult legend and obviously very popular amongst our fans, so bit obnoxious having a pop at him? I dare you to get the lcfc badge tattooed onto your back. I can't believe this has 4+ points. Cult Legend? For being fat? I know some spotty teenagers seem to clamour round him and look up to him I've just no idea why. Jobber IS a sound bloke that's fact. It doesn't make him a cult hero though. And I want to get the badge on my back by the way, its just the £

When we're on song up there its a brilliant atmosphere and won't be bettered in any part of the ground- no matter how well SK1 do
Soup Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 When we're on song up there its a brilliant atmosphere and won't be bettered in any part of the ground- no matter how well SK1 do Yes mate I bet it is good in there, that wasn't my point. You said unbeatable, your setting the bar low.If we could get 1000 in SK1 I'm sure we could get stuff going between us.
Lionheart Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Will Filbo Spirit be likely to get any feedback from the Club as to how they thought it went? Our aim is obviously to get like minded people to move over with us but also increasing the atmosphere will encourage more people to come to the games hence more revenue. Agree with others about not waiting for the trial games,we've started it now let's all stay there and carry it on. COYB

Yeh that'd be great. I really feel like chinning most of L block a lot of the time. If fans don't want to sing they should fcuk off to other parts of the ground
Storming Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 L1 was not at its best yesterday but dont know if its down to no Jobber or poor away numbers im sure the Shef Wed game will be rocking again .Totaly agree Jobber gets L1 going and keeps them at it so hurry back Job .SK1 you might have sounded good yesterday but down L M J we couldnt hear you accustics ?? What I dont get is people asking whens the next one ?shouldnt it be every home game ? if your trying to get a singing section surely it should be every home match and not just chosen matches . Good luck SK1 time to get this sorted as next season you will be getting a lot of new fans appearing out the woodwork and taking up seats in SK1 and wont have a clue whats going on so get it sorted asap
blueharmie Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Sk1 was good yesterday from what I saw with the people singing towards the top
Voll Blau Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 A bit embarrassing that certain posters are trying to turn what was an excellent afternoon into a bit of a self-aggrandising ego boost for themselves, but hey ho - don't want to dwell on that. Overall a fantastic afternoon and credit to everyone who took it upon themselves to go over. Thought everyone gave their all and it really paid off. The highlight for me would have to be looking over the other side of the Kop/East Stand barrier and seeing two little kiddies going mad swinging their scarves round their head, trying to join in. I hope the club start to realise that it can be the noise and colour in the stands, as much as what goes on on the field, that can get children hooked on football. A great effort and hope SK1 continues to grow.

I hope the club start to realise that it can be the noise and colour in the stands, as much as what goes on on the field, that can get children hooked on football. This exactly. I vaguely remember when I first went down around 2005ish and I wasn't that interested in the game. I'd rather look around and see what was happening around me rather watch the game because I would get bored. Adding something like this to the Kop I think would add more appeal to kids. Most don't want to sit down for 90 minutes. They like something else to preoccupy them and this is exactly that.
1964FOX Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Great effort yesterday and with more could be really good. All ages involved, I'm 50 next month. We are not out to compete with L1, we are there to compliment our fellow fans and provide noise around the ground to spark vocal support. Lee Jobber has been unwell in the last few days so that's why there was no drum. COME ON YOU BOYS IN BLUE!!!
Babylon Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 A marked improvement in an area that has been dead all year. I moved from sk4 to sk2 thinking the atmosphere would be better, but it was much worse, even with three times the number of people. Keep it up until the end of the year and I'm sure lots of STH's will want to move over.

Kitchandro Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 I'm sure you'll say I'm just picking at your posts. But if you're so adamant that L&K relies on the drum, why wouldn't you want it to return if that means a better atmosphere for the team? I think you're missing the point. It would be a better atmosphere if you didn't rely on the drum.
cityfanlee23 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 Nope I'm definitely not getting it. I'm struggling to see how banging on the back of a stand is something that is unhealthy or unsafe. The wall might collapse and someone will fall out of the stadium.... I'll be honest I don't get it at all
cityfanlee23 Posted 2 March 2014 Posted 2 March 2014 When we're on song up there its a brilliant atmosphere and won't be bettered in any part of the ground- no matter how well SK1 do I can absolutely guarantee that L block can be bettered... Not making this an sk1 is better comment I'm talking purely by the fact we are aiming at passionate fans that will sing.. And purely by numbers the corner where sk1 is can expand to sk2/3 so is bigger anyway Common sense says if we get 2,000 hardcore fans in there it will be louder than 3-400 in L/K that actually sing...
