QPR trying to buy their way out of the league!

I still say wait and see till the end of the season. I tipped QPR for promotion at the start and am sticking with it. I had them to finish top though, and certainly don't think that anymore.

Redknapp, till the past few games, had done a decent job. The squad that Mark Hughes had assembled was utterly rank.. full of older, big paid players and big egos. QPR could have easily disintegrated this season and Arry had his work cut out to ensure that they didn't go completely tits up.

However, once he stabilised them, got rid of some, brought others in, this is pretty much now HIS squad. Make no mistake, they have to go up this season. Another year in the Championship will be financially disastrous for the club. Arry knows this, so do the players and I think that's why they are getting twitchy.

I don't like Redknapp's way of doing things anymore than I did Sven's. There seems to be little planning, instead trying to cure a problem by chucking another player at it.

But I still think they will probably have enough to see them over the line. If not, then I expect to see Redknapp gone and the club could well be in the doldrums for a good few years.

City, Pearson and the owners are currently a shining beacon on how to do things properly. Tony Fernández and QPR are basically the opposite.

Us and burnley up then as long as the trees and the sheep don't join us I really don't care who makes it.

Qpr mean nothing to me as do Reading.

BUT I FVCKING HATE the sheep and the trees

I really can't see how anyone can think Arry is a good manager.

The only clubs he's had 'success' is when he has had practically unlimited funds and can offer stupid wages no other club are foolish to pay.

From what I've seen of them when they've played on Sky it reminds me of Sven's era but even more extreme. Their squad is full of individuals on ridiculous wages who don't look like a team. It's exactly the same as when Hughes was in charge.

Considering all the Premier League experience the team has they should be in the position we are in not 4 points off second and in their worst form all season.

Up until recently they were in the automatics because of their defence record, now they're leaking in goals if it carries on I can see them just scraping play offs at best.

They look useless going forward and are not creating anything. The majority of their attempts (games on Sky) are from outside the area.

I hope they fail to go up this year and Arry gets the sack because he has no clue.

Unfortunately though they will be fine financially because of the parachute payments

lol!

Are you earning decent (but not big money) as a professional footballer?

Got very few, if any, international caps between you?

Injury prone...particularly being susceptible to hardly ever being able to get fit?

Wanting to be played out of position, in fact not really know where you're going to be playing?

Praised by the home fans as 'the striker thats going to shoot us to the Prem', or 'Captain Marvel' even before they've seen you play much.?

If so.... come and join Sven's revolution.

We promise to:

Give you a massive signing on fee....

Quadruple your wages....

Promise you first team football however badly you are playing...

Bamboozle you with strange tactical formations....

Following this, we assure to sack your manager, leave you to stew in the reserves, and then sell you to another Championship club (for another transfer fee) who will just avoid relegation.

Sven's Leicester... go on, you know it makes sense...

exactly!!..people who live in glass houses shouldn't have a shit with the light on!!

been here and done it lets not knock another team for doing the same thing we were doing just a couple of years ago...and lets face it, as far most of the media and other fans are concerned, still are

I heard Harry in an interview.  He said they were just 11 players shy of where they needed to be to reach the promised land.    He's been given another 500,000 pounds a week budget to get what he needs.  He swears with that he'll catch Leicester and win the Championship title.

I think we should give him some credit.  He's obviously willing to make a plan and stick to it.  That's more than most, eh?

Yeah, his plan seems to be spend everything QPR have so that they go into financial meltdown. He can keep buying but it will just put more pressure on QPR, you can't buy this league.

Absolutely! Who really gives a toss about QPR anyway? As long as we go up and Forest don't. That'll do nicely.

I've come to have respect this season though, for Burnley. They've built a team, haven't spent much and defied the odds. I'd like them to have a shot at the big time again.

Yep.. Agree.. Would like burnley to finish 2nd.. Qpr in the playoffs, with a painful loss in the final... Watch Harry twitch then!!!

Didn't his twitch occur from an horrific car crash where he almost died? as much as I don't like the bloke, not his fault really. Just like you wouldn't call an ex-service man with a blown off leg "peg leg". Just sayin.

Beating Forest would be a big help to us.:)

He can only fail this season, promotion ought to be exceptionally easy with that amount of cash and shouldn't be congratulated.

If he really is that good why aren't QPR in the clear right now?

We spent tons of cash and didn't go up, It doesn't matter where they finish as long as they gain promotion. If they do, then 'Arry has done his job.

Looking at their line up today, Redknapp signed Dunne, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Keane, Doyle and Hughes. If he was fit Austin would've played. He also has Clint Hill who is seen as this great warrior at Championship level. Benayoun is a quality player, as is Hoilett.

The bloke took over a lot of egos and difficult personalties and been given a lot of resources. I think his chairman could ask why they are four points off the top two, 11 behind the leaders and have scored 37 goals in 30 games. He has no excuses if they don't go up, resources any manager would want and a supposedly amazing man management reputation to get the best out of all types of players.

Dunne: Free Transfer

Assou-Ekotto: On loan from Spurs

Kranjcar: On loan from Dynamo Kiev

Keane: On loan from Man Utd

Doyle: Free Transfer

Aaron Hughes Free Transfer

Not a single penny spent in transfer fees on any of them.

Out of interest, where did you tip City to finish? It's not a smart-arse question, because I thought we'd do well to get into the play-offs. Mind you, my top three in a Football Predictions competition I enter every year were Watford, Ipswich and Forest. Shows what I know about football.

Bet the loans included a fee mind. Add signing on fees and wages. Doyle is on £40k.

I doubt they are on peanuts and will trounce the wages paid by virtually all other clubs in the Championship.

Lets be honest, we dont know for a fact what the terms are of any of these deals.

Whilst their squad is awash with Premier League rejects and they are above average spenders I don't believe it's as extravagant as some on here would have you believe.

As a Leicester fan you of all people should be aware that transfer fees don't tell the whole story of money laid on for a player.  Most of those listed will be on £30k+ a week which is just about acceptable for maybe one or two key members of your squad at this level, but as a regular wage it's obscene for a Ch'ship club.
