WinslowFox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Could well be a massive point that, definitely 1 point gained rather than 2 points dropped. 12 unbeaten, came from behind again and still haven't lost a 2nd half away from home yet. Overall I'm pleased, now lets follow it up wtih 3 points on Saturday.
Buzzell Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Brilliant point. I think it's about time to properly introduce Mahrez, and possibly give Wood a game.
Salieri Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 This is definitely our year and matches like that only serve to reinforce that sentiment.
Mark_from_USA Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I think its time we were honest with ourselves. We've only put together 12 games unbeaten. Why not 15 or 20? If we want to get out of this league, surely we should have more than 10 points clear of the autos by mid February. If we were serious we'd be at least 16 points clear by now. I've been saying to watch for a collapse. Watch this space. </sarc off>
Danno Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 **** me we were lucky. The back four seemed to be doing their best to lose us the game
steveherbe Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Much better point for us than it is for Florist. Konch now out for 3 games, De Laet out for one as well. No problem, Moore to right back, Miquel left back, the juggernaut just rolls on. Do we remind us of Man Utd - pre Moyes of course - we just keep getting results. And all the people that laughed at Youngy saying we wouldnt lose again all season - only 15 to go lads, it's possible.
Grewks Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 still looks good. it does indeed. people just need to continue looking at the gap between 1st and 3rd....anyone would take 2nd now.
AmyLGK Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Phew - I'm feeling a bit funny if I'm to be honest! Was secretly hoping to destroy those nobbers... Nugent seems to be having a quiet period again...the game sounded not the best. Bloody well rescued point though, especially with 10 men. They dug in - so different from previous seasons!
Socks Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 still looks good. It still looks very good I admit, i gave in too early and thought we were goners, no faith, but when we went down to ten we played the best spell of the game need to do better that that against the tractor boys though, forest fan and davies saying we cheated need to change it slightly for sat i think
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 This... I'd love to see wood have a go, but Nugents record vs the tractors.. Tricky one! Sorry I didn't mean rest as in to recuperate or rest the muscles.. I just mean to fire them up, Give the others a chance as they have gone off the boil for a fair few games Wood changes how we play too much for me. And I don't think Nuge will play as badly on Saturday. We'll see a better Nugent against the Tractors. Schlupp in at left back. And Dyer out for a game or two.
Corky Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Sky reporter said his man of the match was Drinkwater. Obviously not the definitive opinion, but given this was the time last year his and our season fell apart that is encouraging to hear.
weller54 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Mahrez for Dyer on Saturday!!!... Dyer's been poor for last few games.... Nugent must start, he ALWAYS scores against the tractor boys!!
TrentFox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I think that's a really big point. Not just for its numerical value to our points total, but it sends a message to lots. If they needed it, it reminds our players that there is nobody in this league that can expect to beat us, (and I thought Forest would as they've been on fire recently bar FA Cup at weekend), and it also says to the rest of the league that a slip-up is highly unlikely this year as we are made of tougher stuff than last year and if you want to beat us or finish above us you are going to have to be a bit special. And if Forest can't be special enough in their form, then I'm not sure anybody else can either. Top drawer draw!
iamafox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 This was always going to be a difficult game to win. Considering the manner in which we earned the draw, I'm very pleased.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Best point of the season, keeps the unbeaten run going... and Forest I'm the distance...
AnotherShitSeason Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Konchesky has been a liability for a few weeks now, although we don't want to lose him for 3 games it might be a blessing in disguise. We need someone in on loan, I'd go for Nathan Ake from Chelsea immediately. This. Loan in before Saturday.
cc_star Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I'd have taken a point with 11 With 10 it was a fantastic result. We aren't going to win every game between now & the end of the season so an away point (especially against current 2ND best side in the league) is more than fine
ScouseFox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I've only just found out Phillips missed the penalty and we scored from a rebound? I wondered what the fúck was wrong with everyone at our club letting an unknown, young, tricky dicky Frenchman take our most important penalty of the season. That never ends well.
easilee Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Just seen the highlights. No way that was a penno for us. Haha them's the breaks trees!!
cityfanlee23 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Wood changes how we play too much for me. And I don't think Nuge will play as badly on Saturday. Corky Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 From the TV camera angle it looked a soft penalty to us.
