LCCFox96 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Avoiding defeat was essential. We have done that tonight. I would have taken a point at the start of the game and certainly would have at half time. Keeps that gap as it was pre-saturday and takes the wind out of their sails. A resilient performance in the face of a numerical disadvantage was all we could ask for. My main disappointment tonight was Kevin Phillips missing from the spot tbh. 2 home games now. 6 points would leave us sitting really pretty. Really need to focus on getting max points from the next two.
Unabomber Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Do you think that this melting whore we to question is boring??? Yes Yes Yes Close enough
sylofox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 On way home now. Had a lot of players who didnt play well especially Dyer and Nuge. Definitely deserved a draw though could have even won with a chance at the end. Im not sure about Konchs red card didn't really see it but lets get it right, the ref was awful. Didnt give us a blatant pen and wouldn't have got the Dd pen if it wasnt for the lino. Awful ref. point gained for sure Then did we deserve a result. Don't bitch about a peno we have had a shite load and you will never get them all. We are just lucky so many have been given. Not getting into the was it deserved thing. But we have been lucky with peno's
Smudge Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Close enough I knew my French GCE fail would come in handy one day
Langston Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I sincerely hope our penalty award was soft as shit.
ScouseFox Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 I sincerely hope our penalty award was soft as shit. yeh i'm massively hoping it wasn't a penalty
Bluetintedspecs Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Performance that bears the hallmark of champions.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 No clue what Morgan was doing for theirs, had so much time yet he somehow fvcked it up
Nalis Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Great point in the end. I've just seen the goals - god knows what Morgan was doing for their penalty and Konchesky's foul was never a sending off. I thought his red card was stonewall from the ssn clips. Either way, a solid point gained.
AKCJ Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 This photo keeps making me laugh. Look at the bellends in the background still celebrating lol

Guest MattP Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Cracking result considering the position we had got ourselves into. This team just doesnt know when its beaten, so much courage and fight.
Dickov22 Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 A great game of football. We didn't play at our best but in my opinion Forest are a really good side. First half they didn't let us play, and Andy Reid ran the game. Paterson looks very good too. Defensively Forest were a shambles, they just couldn't handle Vardy's pace and endeavour. Nugent and Vardy's movement was also great. Second half we were much better- Drinkwater was excellent, Nugent could quite easily have had two goals. It was end to end. I also thought Vardy was denied a stonewall penalty by the ref. Forest's main threat was Reid's balls into our box. I was glad when he was subbed off. Konchesky is a prat. He had a tussle with Mackie about five minutes before the red card. He lost his head. He really let us down All in all a brilliant point. Mahrez looked really good again.
Kitchandro Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 2-1 down, under pressure with 10 men, I'd say it's a very good point in the circumstances. Wes has had an absolute mare for their penalty but I can't quite work out where the foul is. Sure Morgan makes some bizarre funky body movement and Mackie goes down, but I'm far from convinced he actually tripped him up. Very soft. The red card probably is one in this day and age, it shouldn't be though. He's late and he's gone in hard, so what. In a sensible world that's a yellow card. A mistimed committed challenge that wasn't above the ball or two footed. But they have this thing called 'excessive force' now, whereby you're only supposed to try so hard otherwise you get sent off. For trying too hard. For being too much of a man for these pussy Forest players. Relieved with a draw at the end but ecstatic with one after reading how angry we've made the Forest fans. Cheers for a point towards the title you cvnts

promised land Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 Great result , never an easy place to get a result from , especially with 10 men I am certain the refs are persuaded by the crowd for some decisions at the City ground, not just tonight but whenever we play them. It could be the old style lay out, separate stands I don't know but Forest do seem to get an atmosphere all around the ground, well that's what it sounds like from the away end. I'd like to see the red card again as their player just got straight back up. Still a point on the road and another game ticked off. Fans were great tonight, singing all through.
Bert Posted 19 February 2014 Posted 19 February 2014 No clue what Morgan was doing for theirs, had so much time yet he somehow fvcked it upIt was Kaspers fault. Heard his call from my seat so Morgan stops. Kasper hesitates and puts us in a right load of trouble.
