A commentator should have some excitement about him self especially when our club scores , I've listened to a lot of commentators and I totally think stringer is one of the best , I've never been so bored listening to a goal going out way , so what stringer does backflips and goes crazy , but isn't that what a makes it entertaining, nothing against Bourne but I'd rather listen to stringer anyday , lol could you imagine what he would of been like when we equalised lmfao hahaha

Does anyone know what happened to Alan Young after I think it was our second goal? The commentary from him went dead, Jason Bourne said "In your own time Alan" but there was nothing from him. Jason carried on professionally but Alan was nowhere to be heard, I thought Jeez, is he having a cardiac but then he came back on air.

Later on, during the post match phone in he did allude to it saying 'He was trying to escape from some Forest fans"

Anybody see/witness it?

Jason is not a cvnt etc as suggested and he shouldn't be sacked but he is not a lead commentator for football. Maybe cricket or something slower paced. He can't help it, it's his voice, he is more of a background man.

Stinger is an eejit but I like his passion. Alan young knows toffee about modern football but he can say what he feels at times which I like. I go to most games so fortunately don't have to listen to any of them too often.

Jason is a big city fan and a very nice guy. He also has only had about 10ish games as a commentator Stringer has a lot more than that. He did OK. Cut the guy some slack.

Like being asked if you want to die of AIDS or Cholera.

Thought Bourne was pretty poor but it hasn't done it very often so some leeway should be shown, can't stand Stringer as he comes across as a little girl on the radio, it's like a family stand commentary half the time.

It's Radio Leicester at the end of the day, we arent going to get Andy Gray or Gary Neville on that budget, just be greatful that we can actually get it I suppose, within ten years we'll all be paying a subscription for something like this.

The enthusiasm when we score is the key.

As much as some might dislike stringer, last night he would have made the game much more exciting

Bourne more professional and perhaps if I was a neutral I prefer him, but lets face it as Leicester fans we want the commentary team to go as mental as we do when we score.

I wonder how stringers commentary would be for a game not featuring Leicester, in terms of professionalism I imagine it would be much better.

Hold on.

Stringer has about 300 games experience whereas Jason Bourne probably has 10.

Bit unfair to make the comparison.

Spot on.

I don't think some people realise what a difficult job that it is either.

Listened to Pearson's interview with Bourne and he seemed much more at ease compared to being interviewed by Stringer.

So, let Stringer commentate and Bourne take care of the post match interviews.

There's only one Neville foulger.

He was class!!!!

Quite like strangers passion though tbf..

Thank god for that.

I guess Stringer because of how excited he gets and the fact that you can actually tell when we've scored, yesterday I had to stand in my living room for about 1 minute trying to work out if we've scored.

Then again, Bournes' actual commentary of the match is miles better, he describes what's going on and whose got the ball compared to Stringer "Oh Youngy these are some delightful sandwiches by the way and VARDYS SCORED"

Foulger and Sinclair were who I listened to growing up, I wasn't so cynical back then... They were the voice of Leicester City for me!

Imagine Bourne and Piper haha.

They're all fine. Some people are just never happy, and want to moan at anything.

They all do a good job covering the club. Stringer is the best commentator since Foulger and Bourne is more of a producer. He fills in when called upon.

Really don't see what some peoples problems are - I'll bet it's a lot harder than most people think. At the end of the day these blokes are trying to earn a living, whilst trying to do their best in the industry they're in.

Stringer is more eccentric, whereas Bourne is more 'professional' really.

Even though he is a radio leicester commentator, he should still remain impartial, that is why there is always an ex player who sits next to em.

Bourne was dull, but so are all the other commentators i listen to when returning from an away game on the radio.

When we scored our 2nd, you could just about hear Youngy shout 'YYYEEEESSSSSSSS' (I heard it when listening to the highlights again). He was obviously in the Forest end and he did shout it pretty loudly so I imagine he may have had some grief.

I know he gets a fair amount of stick but to be fair, I thought that was brilliant. Nice one Youngy.

To be fair, on the other nights phone in Bourne was talking about the days of Kisnorbo with real knowledge. I think he is genuinely a Leicester fan.

I think he's maybe tried to be too professional. Stringer always bangs on about how he's "not allowed" to be a fan now he's a commentator and I think Bourne has taken that a little too literally.

He seems like a much nicer human being than Stringer and I think you can tell Young likes him more than Stringer who he quite clearly hates.

Why should Ian Stringer be impartial! Its Radio Leicester for goodness sake. I was listening to the Forest match and didn't realise Leicester had scored until I heard the groans of the Forest fans. Ian Bourne should stick to talking to the fans pre match and covering important funerals for Radio Leicester

Could anyone make scoring a goal more boring than Jason Bourne? Whoever told him he has a voice for radio should be sacked!

Its punched away.  Its back to Vardy itzzzzzzzz......   (30 seconds later ) ... What, did we score?  I nodded off!

Posted

I personally have nothing against either of them... However in terms of excitement and silly facts and as mentioned earlier 'Stringerism's' Mr Stringer has it hands down for me. I found Bournes commentary very boring at times especially when a goal has been scored!

Bourne is a good right hand man to have for facts and reading out the messages imo    :pearson:
