To be fair, on the other nights phone in Bourne was talking about the days of Kisnorbo with real knowledge. I think he is genuinely a Leicester fan.

I think he's maybe tried to be too professional. Stringer always bangs on about how he's "not allowed" to be a fan now he's a commentator and I think Bourne has taken that a little too literally.

He seems like a much nicer human being than Stringer and I think you can tell Young likes him more than Stringer who he quite clearly hates.

Do you think so?  I've not picked up on that, they seem like yampy mates.

Personally, I think I'd rather get stuck in a lift with Bourne than Stringer, who can be over the top.  But in an entertainment industry, over the top can be good.

I also agree with whoever said Bourne did a better interview with Pearson.  Pearson seemed more relaxed and there was none of the faux banter between the two.

Jason can probably count the number of LCFC commentaries he's done on two hands. He's still learning his trade.

Very true

Perhaps this isn't the time to give Bourne an ultimatum. He needs to show his true identity before his supremacy shows through

I honestly hope Jason has read the feedback and puts it into practice tomorrow. He has the basics, just needs to show some fvckin pashunnn!

I think its Stringer's daft little phrases that make him what he is. He comes out with some shite, yes, but he's passionate on the radio, has that banter going on with Young and I've warmed to him.

Stringer for me. No emotion from Jason. Didn't even know when we scored.

Stringer would have been going manic when Mahrez put the ball away.

Goooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal............................

We're Leicester City, we're top of the league!

Was Bourne any better today?

A little bit although at one point Ipswich had 2 keepers playing (Loach and Gerken) and we were also playing Reading but apart from that not too shabby.

I enjoyed Bourne's commentary today, he's paid to describe the action not scream like an irritable child; unfair to level that criticism at him. Refreshing to know what was actually going on rather than what the ballboy's haircut looked like.

Last Saturday in the office for a while though so I'll have to listen to neither for the foreseeable.

Overall Stringer is by far a better commentator but this is from experience.

However, like you mentioned, with Bourne you get to hear a lot commentary about the football and less pointless conversations with Youngy. And let's be honest it's nice to have a break from that, from time to time.

Young told me he's wanted to punch Stringer seconds before going on air. He can't stand the bloke.

I genuinely like Jason Bourne's commentary, he describes the play in a way that's easy to follow and doesn't get distracted halfway through. Stringer has irritated me since he came on the scene and I wish the change was permanent.

It's funny but Bourne is getting lots of stick from FT and yet I've always preferred his commentary. I find Bourne describes the play where as Stringer uses inflection more. I find it more possible to visualise what is really happening with Bourne commentating.

I'm just amazed it's a 90-10 split.

I got the impression people didn't like Stringer.

While there are a few who don't, the majority seem to like him.

The problem with Stringer is you don't get to hear much of what is actually going on in the game, at least with Bourne you get a better picture, he may not show his emotions so much but he does describe the game better.
