broughtonblue Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Just been to get my mate a ticket for Brighton match. £29 for a Tuesday night match in C1, was gob smacked when girl on the till told me how much! Where as his Yeovil ticket, another Tuesday night match was £15, how do they come up with the prices?
lcfc278 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Ticket prices are a bit mental at the moment and is no doubt because of how well we're doing - more people want to come along and pretty much every game is now a platinum so the club can make some good money whilst were in good form - it makes good business sense but does hurt - I had to pay £39 for the Watford game which means i cant afford Ipswich tomorrow, but i want to see the club do well financially too.
lavrentis Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 We are nothing but fodder for cash in the eyes of the club. If people pay these prices they will still charge them.
Dan Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 We are nothing but fodder for cash in the eyes of the club. If people pay these prices they will still charge them. In a nutshell. But a lot of people aren't paying them. I'm convinced with a decent long-term pricing plan we could fill this place regularly even in this league and I think the same about most clubs.

I'm convinced with a decent long-term pricing plan we could fill this place regularly even in this league and I think the same about most clubs. Hence we have an average attendance of 23500 despite being top of the league. I would love to see the ground full for our remaining games, it creates atmosphere which I am sure helps the team. This will not happen though with the crazy prices that are being charged.

Maybe it's because they need to re-finance their brand-new stadium in parts and cover its running costs?
Maybes Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 You can get ticket for £22 elsewhere in the ground if you're that bothered.
MattGamble92 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 The sad fact is they'd rather raise the prices to £30 a ticket and get 25k here on in then keep them the same or lower and get 30k. One of the reasons I didn't leave my seat when people were clapping the owners

Sign up for the DMU they give tickets to out of town students that don't care about us.
sdb Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Doesn't seem too OTT to me but then I did somehow end up paying £84 for me and my dad to watch us lose 1-0 to Sheff Wed last season, so that may be why.
LanguedocFox Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, but if we go up it will get much worse - home and away.

Fox92 Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 Pricing system is ridiculous. If I wasn't a STH, I'd choose the games specifically because the value doesn't represent what you're getting at times.

Seriously? 39 pound? Fook sake!
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I still think they should open up the two corners where there are always empty seats, have a pay at the turnstile, cash only thing. 20 quid, in you come, happy days. That would get the last minute, should we, shouldn't we merchants and fill up seats. The health and safety brigade would probably bleat on about it though. Health and fookin safety is everywhere and gets right on my thruppeny bits.
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 I tell you what, Premiership footballers. Hows about you stop 'earning' 300k a week? Take 150k instead Wayne.. that will stay buy you two nice cars every week. And with the other 150k, plough it back into grass roots football? Or bringing down ticket prices? That'd be nice..
shade Posted 21 February 2014 Posted 21 February 2014 the players should be on half what they're on per week and fans should pay half what they do. everyone's a winner, except the players, who are losers!

Spot on mate totally agree on your previous pricing and H&S points too. I think the club appear clueless with their pricing structures too. Using forethought they could really capitalise on our current position and get near full houses for last 3/4 games instead of everyone clamouring to be at the game where hopefully its sealed. They could have 3 game deal for say Adults £70 and 4 game deal for £85 get bums on seats guaranteed for more than the one want to be there match!
