Lukey Boi Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 How the fvck is he better than Konchesky? Konch is the biggest liability in the squad
demon_dog Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Said to folks around me on Saturday, how impressed I was with the way he played. Apart from a couple of sloppy back passes he had a good game. Can see no reason why he shouldn't replace Konchesky if he wants.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 A decent game against a right winger probably about as much threat as my nan and we've got the next Ashley Cole on our hands. Harry Redknapp's just bid for your nan.
Danno Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Konch is the biggest liability in the squadBased on what?
foxfanazer Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I'd keep him in over Konchesky. Thought his days were numbered here but he's doing well. Albeit he hasn't been tested much
NewburyFox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Another very good game, although like Ipswich he didn't have a lot to do. Great cross in lead up to second goal.
Soar Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Another steady performance today, but let's not get carried away it's been 2 games against very poor opposition.
Finnaldo Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Another steady performance today, but let's not get carried away it's been 2 games against very poor opposition. But in the next four games we've got three more very poor sides. Carry on like we are and promotion is surely secured by then?
Jimothy Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Keep him for the next few weeks even when Konchesky becomes available again, see how he does against some of the poorer teams in the league that we've got coming up, then if he's kept playing well leave him in for Burnley and see how he does.

I think NP will keep him in. He hasn't thrown Moore back in despite him being fit again, although that was an injury and Konch is a ban. If it aint broke.....
jmono84 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Played very well and wins a fair few headers as well!! Past two games he's been lots better than konch, who I thought was decent enough... If he plays well away and against the better teams in the div then I really think we've found a top left back!!
DennisNedry Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Left back is definitely his position here now if he wants it, or would he rather play at a lower level as a striker?
weller54 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 What's our goals conceded record when schlupp s played left back?.. Pretty decent I bet!!!?
Deucalion Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I've questioned what people see in Schlupp and when he will finally fulfill the potential we keep being told about. Doing well at the moment and looking the part at leftback at the minute !!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 There was a group of fans in G1 today really cheering the Schluppinator on Really got behind the team, Jeff in particular
cityfanlee23 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 To be fair to the lad he was actually very good whenever I saw him, His positioning at times could do with some management, and only remember seeing him make 1 mistake where he lost the ball, However he turned around, ran back and caught the winger he lost the ball too and chucked in a huge tackle! I'd have him at left back if he's happy to play there! All that potential, We wouldnt need a Shaw/Cresswell, We've got potentially good or even better.

Good assessment Lee, spot onThought he had a cracking game generally
fuchsntf Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Another steady performance today, but let's not get carried away it's been 2 games against very poor opposition. So are you setting him up for a fall, keep saying well done until he has one bad game, then say..not good enough.. Weve seen him before, he's no new player to this position, all fullbacks have bad games, the manager of any team wouldnt drop A.Cole, Baines, Walker, because of a couple of bad performances, especially when they havent yet had one. Who needs bad supporters when you have ones like the last few posts before and after this one. Experts n scaremongers who share the same bread, no wonder some players feel lost and forelorn. This guy could turn out to be a great future player, why are some of you preparing him for the wolfs. Pathetic.

I was merely saying he's had 2 decent games against poor opposition which have hardly threatened. Most of the time I've seen him against better teams I like some others have questioned his defensive side. It's people like you who overhype him like he's the next Ashley Cole.
