STEVIE B Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 On tonight's phone in, Mr Stringer asked if listeners would take 3 pts from our next 2 games. Initially my thoughts were 'No, I'd take 4 in a shot though'. However, would any of you take 3 pts at Burnley but a defeat tomorrow ?
bovril Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 A defeat tomorrow and I'll be browning my pants big time, so no thanks.
Stadt Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 4 points will do, as long as we don't lose to Burnley the title is in the bag.
johnny the fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 If we blow it tomorrow night I will kick a Wurzel to death..
shade Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 If we blow it tomorrow night I will kick a Wurzel to death.. let's hope a wurzel doesn't coincidentally get kicked to death!
STEVIE B Posted 24 March 2014 Author Posted 24 March 2014 A defeat tomorrow and I'll be browning my pants big time, so no thanks. But the point is, we lose tomorrow and are guaranteed 3 pts at Turf moor. No risk, that is the scenario
Bayfox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 No. 4 is the minimum 3 tomorrow and at least a draw sat. That way we are 2 games closer and no ground given.
Fox92 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I'd prefer 4. Lets get something from Burnley, even if it's a scrappy 0-0 draw.
Grewks Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 But the point is, we lose tomorrow and are guaranteed 3 pts at Turf moor. No risk, that is the scenario We would be in the same situation though if we lose tomorrow but get 3 points at burnley as they play doncaster at home tomorrow which is a given 3 points.
tyneside fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 6 points no less lets get the job done ...............fingers and toes crossed.. Think I would leave Vards out tomorrow just not to lose him for Burnley
AKCJ Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I'd take 4 points now. Avoid defeat at Burnley and I reckon we've got the title.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 We would be in the same situation though if we lose tomorrow but get 3 points at burnley as they play doncaster at home tomorrow which is a given 3 points.Burnley away at Birmingham was "a given 3 points" I can see Doncaster getting a draw tomorrow People are talking up Burnley far too much
Fox92 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Burnley away at Birmingham was "a given 3 points" I can see Doncaster getting a draw tomorrow People are talking up Burnley far too much Because they're second and are undefeated at home? I see nothing to suggest Doncaster will get something at Turf Moor, though I'd obviously love Doncaster to get something. I don't think some people take Burnley that serious, as your comment suggests. I've been impressed with them whenever I've seen them. They came to the KP and got a result, they went to QPR and we're very impressive.
Number 6 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 As we're heavy favourites for tomorrow I have no idea why anyone would accept 3. 4 on the other hand...

Fox92 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 People are certainly taking burnley seriously on here And so they should be. The league table never lies.
Grewks Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Burnley away at Birmingham was "a given 3 points" I can see Doncaster getting a draw tomorrow People are talking up Burnley far too much Any away game in this league is not a 'given' at all. I maintain the view that any away point is a good one.
Agent Fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 3 points? Not on my Nelly. We can take 6. I repeat, we are the best team in this league
lc4lcfc Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I wouldn't take three points, my heart says well get 6, head says 4. Might have a cheeky bet on vardys inevitable yellow card tomorrow
DennisNedry Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Wouldn't take 3, but I'd take 4 definitely. 6 would be fantastic.
Raw Dykes Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 It wouldn't be a disaster to lose tomorrow and beat Burnley - we won't have lost any ground. I do see the OP's point.
blue army 1988 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 We shouldnt be losing to a team like yeovil if we wanna stay in the prem next season and should at least get a draw against burnly. At least 4 points is what i want.
Littletoe Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 6 points, would be okay with 4. We need to be the only team to beat Burnley at their ground this season, but steady on, Yeovil tomorrow is most important.
Tom's Pasta Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 On our day I'm confident we're stronger than Burnley. The first half in the home game was the most dominant 45 minutes all season so we know we can take the game to them
