Well yeah, they were missing four key players from their side in Ings, Vokes, Marney and Trippier.

If we lost Nugent, Vardy, Drinkwater and De Laet for this game, we'd probably have struggled too.

Not as much I dont think.

Wood schlupp ( up front) king, konchesky and moore can come in their place.

I don't believe in that... king in for Drinkwater, Wood for Vardy, Phillips for Nugent... and Moore for De Laet...

By the time Qpr play again we could be Uncatchable!!.. Although I'd be delighted with 4 from the 6 points!!.. Draw at Wigan and a hammering of Sheffield Wednesday.. We owe them one!!!

I agree pal, that would've been a major struggle for us if we'd lost Nugent Drinkwater Vardy and De Laet for that game.

Personally if that had happened (which would've been odd considering our investment in our sports science department). I would've gone for the same formation but played:

Kasper

Moore

Was

Wes

Jeff

Tony

Hammond

James

Mahrez

GTF

Wood

It was an absolute joy to watch the team play today.

There was everything we'd been missing for the past few games. Urgency, determination, speed and above all... teamwork.

I can't name a single player who put a wrong foot in today. They all fought for each other as a unit and left Burnley little to no space to breathe or maneuver.

De Laet surprised me in particular - he showed his class once more and made the previous two matches undone. No one got past him.

Schlupp played just as tough to beat and convinced with numerous runs forward.

Replacing Vardy with Wood paid off big-time, as the latter provided both an assist and a splendid goal to seal the three points for us.

We played like Champions and the title is truly ours to lose now.

The support today was top-notch, very loud, there were lots of variations and we also added a bit of humour in there (are you watching, Forest?).

All in all, a terrific day out at Burnley. Eight to go - I can't see us losing many of these games to come.

Did anyone catch why Nugent had a pop at Knockaert as he came off? Didn't look happy and was calling him all sorts till Stowell told him to leave it.

Anyway fantastic result. Real gritty, hard nosed performance with lethal finishing. We will need more of that next season...IN THE ****ING PREMIERSHIP!!!!!!

LEICESTER CITY THE BOYS IN BLUE!!!!!!

I think Nugent wasn't too pleased with Knockaert's selfishness and inabilty to pass the ball along near the opposing box - Anthony tried to score from all sorts of angles, but to no avail.

Burnley fan here. Thought you was fantastic, the best team in the league without question - you deserve to win the league. Before the game I would of been happy with a point (given we didn't have Trippier, Marney and Ings) but then as soon as Vokes went off I knew we wasn't going to get anything. Spoke with a couple of Leicester fans after the game and we both agreed that we'll both be in the Prem next season, apparently our fans were clapping your coaches out of Burnley which is pretty good to see, there's a nice mutual respect between your fans and ours and between our managers - of which Pearson said some really complimentary things about us after the game so fair play to him, seems a really good bloke.

Hope you make the leap to the promised land. Injuries weakened you. Hope you keep Sheep and Qpr at bay.

There missing strikers made no difference anyway as they hardly got near our goal

It's not our fault that they haven't brought in sufficient back up

To be fair to Burnley they are a superb side but missed key players today. Respect to Burnley for a superb season up until now.

Well done Leicester City

Indeed football isn't based on the starting 11 which I still think we are stronger but based on all squad players, Vardy who has been are most outstanding player for the last few went off injured and wood came on and got an assist and goal.

As I said in the match thread, Mahrez should have been MOTM as far as I'm concerned. Pleased for Woody but I thought Mahrez was a constant threat.

He is great at running at players, however his final ball was a bit lacking today. I do really like the look of him though.

Nugent, James & Morgan up there for MOTM for me, although most players played really well.

Fantastic result today! Seemed to really to take the game by the scruff of the neck. From what I saw Schlupp looked very good attacking wise again.

Gutted I couldn't make the game. Would have loved to have been there. My 18th today and was finally let out of work and legged it to pub arriving just as Woody slammed home the second. Absolutely buzzing. Onto the next one though. Capitalise on our game in hand with a win at Wigan and the title is ours to lose. So close to that finish line now.

On a separate note, I agree with what's being said regarding the Burnley team and fans. Hope we are the teams to go up automatically. The respect between the management/playing staff and the fans has been credible all season. They deserve promotion for their consistency too.

doesn't look a very good game. knockaert's on his phone, Moore's dropped his cards and started playing with his chips and Miquel is struggling to hold his cards properly without showing everyone his hand.
