The whole money thing is completely irrelevant. You don't hear other managers crying about Real Madrid buying Ronaldo and Bale for a combined 500 billion pounds each time they lose. It's modern day football. I hope he whinges about Man City and Chelsea next season the same way. Get over it, you got a dicking from a far better team. We attract the better players at championship level because we're a far superior club compared to every other in the football league. It's just the way it is.

No need for that cuntish remark about money, Sean.

Schmeichel - 1m

De Laet  - 1m

Wasyl - 0

Morgan - 1m

Knocky - 1m

James - 1m

Drinky - 1m

Riyad - 250k

Nuge - 0

Vards - 1m

Wood - 1m

GTF - 0

Hammond - 0

8250k is hardly worthy of a special mention. Especially when your star striker is worth that alone.

I don't really want to get into a money argument but what the hell has the worth of Danny Ings got to do with it? He might get a career ending injury then he would be worth eff all.

Anyroad,  like DSR has stated it's the wages being paid which is part of the point. I'll bet that Nugent is on more than Ings and Vokes combined. No, believe it.

Just for balance......

Heaton - free

Baird - loan

Duff - £30,000

Shackell - £1 to 1.2 million

Mee - part of the deal with Trippier, around £500,000 for both

Jones - free

Arfield - free

Stanislas -  ? not sure

Kightly - loan

Vokes - £300,000

Barnes - £750,000

Edgar - £300,000

Weren't RDL and James signed for a combined £1m?

£2m for the pair, I think. One of them cost us a pound and the other the rest, to avoid a sell-on clause.

Burnley spent £750k since Dyche arrived (Nov 2012), on Barnes in January.  No idea if that's more than you've spent.

Yeah that's fair, I think everyone knows he's done a cracking job on a limited budget. You guys were unfortunate today with so many injuries and could have given us a right game if you'd had your full first team. I know most of us echo Pearson's comments in saying we hope you go up as long as it isn't at our expense, but Dyche's comments about money are very tiresome, especially when we spent small but effectively in the past two and a half years under Pearson.

Anyway all the best for the rest of the season and please beat QPR and Derby to the 2nd spot!

Stanislas was 1.2m and you conveniently left out ross wallace who cost 2m according to transfermarkt.

What did the gravel gurgler do with the 4m odd you got for Charlie Austin? You could have had all of our strikers plus Rihad Mahrez for that. He's only got himself to blame for the fact that a couple of injuries is all it takes for you to become a very poor side (based on what was a very very poor performance today for a team in 2nd). No need for taking pot shots at us because he didn't have the foresight to bag himself a kevin Phillips. He should save his perilous voice for what looks like being a pretty hairy run in for you.

The problem is that you and some others have taken Dyche's comments about brass as an attack on Leicester, which they aren't.

He's just defending his ground and pointing out the gulf in options when it comes to team selection and making substitutes. If some of you saw our (financial) books then you'd be wondering why the hell we are even challenging you for first place.

It's a bit like say us still having Rodriguez and Austin and being able to bring Ings or Vokes off the bench. Never in a month of sundays will Burnley be able to have four decent forwards in this league.

It's about resources and you've got the best player outside of the PL.

Can't afford players? Cash in on Ings and get yourself some rather than moaning about it.

We're not top because we've spent loads of money. We're top because we've worked remarkably well in the transfer market to bring in quality players who have worked hard for each other on the cheap.

Dyche's shit dig at us was a pathetic excuse.

We bought Matt Mills for 5m. That doesn't mean he's worth that much.

You've not spent much but your squad is probably worth more than ours and that's why it's annoyed us.

Wood put himself about really well today, went up for and won a number of challenges and flick ons. Definitely showed an improvement today in what seems to be the side of his game people criticise him for.

Har har, someone has been drinking.

You'll never know how damp my pants are at your figures for Junior and Ross.  lol

I'm not sure why you mentioned Wallace anyway as we were going with the XI which started today.

£3.2 million for Stanislas and Wallace  lol   lol   lol

Andy Kings Crown Jewels is still on about worth and not brass actually being spent..

So I'm going to ignore him from now on.

Have a think.

Would you rather have a player like Ings who cost next to nothing or a player like Matt Mills who cost 5m?

Obviously it's about worth.

I don't understand why some of our fans are taking Dyche's comments so personally. Managers play mind games and make excuses in press conferences all the time. And if off-the-pitch business does indeed give Leicester a competitive advantage, we should embrace our good fortune, especially considering how terribly some of our peer clubs are operated. A lion doesn't lose sleep over the opinions of sheep.

Burnley's staff costs for the last financial year was £15,369,000.

If you can tell me Leicester's staff costs then we'll talk more because that's where this discussion started.  It started with some of you going on about Dyche's comments about money, not what players are worth but the vast gulf in money being spent/has been spent.

So obviously it isn't about worth. Would Leicester have taken a gamble on a 19 year old from League 1 Bournemouth?

If it's bothering you conversing on here, which it sounds like it is, stay on your own forum lovey.

Yes it's bothering me so much that my laptop has been thrown out of the window into the road.

I'm now using pigeons to pass messages on.

Feel free to direct us to a source that provides alternative figures. Until then I'll go with the comprehensive transfermarkt website.

Of course the fact that you've got a 2m player on the bench is relevant when your manager is implying we won because our squad cost more money than yours.

You really don't understand, do you?

You've obviously spent less, but as the table is showing... your players are obviously worth a lot.

You could sell Ings for more than we spent on our entire squad. easily. You could probably double it to be honest.

You don't see Nige moaning about that do you? Say if we were to lose today to an Ings hat trick, nobody in the league can afford a player whose market value is 10m+. Is that an unfair advantage? No, no more than spending money anyway.

Dyche's comments let himself down because they're clearly ill informed and dated.

We took a punt of a lad from Fleetwood who is our top scorer from open play this season so, yeah, I think we would.

We took a punt on someone in their mid twenties from the conference, two obscure early twenty year olds from Ligue 2, a striker at left back and a 40 year old. I'm confident we would take a gamble on a 19 year old from League 1 should he fit the bill.

We are fortunate, but to suggest like Dyche has done that we have outspent everyone to get to where we are discredits the efforts our team and coaching staff and is out of order.

Especially when nobody on our side have had a bad thing to say about them.
