kingfox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I'm guessing you've perfected running onto a bouncing ball and smashing it in with your weaker foot then.... Don't get me wrong, Mahrez's (that player you told us not to get excited about) goal was absolute class but it's nowhere near being better than King's, Drinky's or Wood's "by a mile". Had more technique about it, had to beat players as well. Drinkwater's especially just came to him, and he hit it sweetly. And I didn't say you shouldn't get excited about him, at the stage I said it, there was no point getting excited, as nobody ever saw him play. What's the point of judging a player, and making him out to be class when you haven't even seen him in action? It's silly.
Corky Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Mahrez by a mile. Had to do work, and hit a beauty, King's and Drinkwater's goals were more straightforward. How was King's straightforward? Hit a bouncing ball first time on the volley, with his weaker foot, into the top corner. Anyone could do that obviously.
lgfualol Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Difficult choice. Drinkwater's against Watford was probably my favourite, timing and importance. Bloody good strike. Knocky vs Derby Wood vs Burnley Mahrez vs Blackpool King vs Blackpool Knocky vs Watford Vardy vs QPR So many good goals.
Danno Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Top 10 of the season for me are: Wood vs Burnley King vs Blackpool Mahrez vs Blackpool Drinkwater vs Watford Vardy vs QPR Dyer vs Bolton Vardy vs Milwall Knockaert vs Derby De Laet vs Derby Nugent vs Burnley

Anyone could do that obviously. I didn't think it was particularly special tbh. Prefer Mahrez's, his goal is what you call a sexy goal.

Narborough_fox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 King vs Blackpool for me. Absolute scenes as it hit the back of the net as well.
Dan Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Wood yesterday. Not only was it an excellent goal that he made from not the clearest chance - it's the one that really has all but sealed promotion.
veezeeblue Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 who´s going to put a video and voting page together ? and merge these 2 threads
whitlock Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Complete controlled strike by Wood but I think the keeper wasn't set properly and on another day would have saved that. Kingy at Blackpool Mahrez V Blackpool Drinky V Watford
MC Prussian Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 In terms of technique, Drinkwater's goal against Watford at home to make it 2-2. A vital equalizer right before the end of the game. Mahrez' strike versus Blackpool at the King Power would be my second choice, also because it led us back into the match after a drab first 60 or so minutes. King's goal at Bloomfield Road comes 3rd. Wood's curled effort against Burnley yesterday deserves a nomination, as well.
Devonfox1884 Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Knocky vs Watford by a country mile. Although it wasn't the best goal technically, it buried the demons from 'that day' and gave us inspiration and confidence in ourselves and really kick-started our promotion push.
Devonfox1884 Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 DRINKY VS WATFORD BY TWO COUNTRY MILES! It was a beaut. It'd come 2nd on my list.
Kinowe Soorie Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 It was a beaut. It'd come 2nd on my list. Oh, ok!
Kinowe Soorie Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 How do you rate knocky's?? He'll never score a better goal than either of the ones in that Huddersfield game!!
Devonfox1884 Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 He'll never score a better goal than either of the ones in that Huddersfield game!! They were pure quality!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Would have loved to have been there Saturday for Woods goal. For speaking for goals I was there for Drinkys vs Watford was the best, then probably Maharez
ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Wood's just takes it for me now but probably biased because of how important it was and how colossal them celebrations were. In terms of actual skill I think King's ping against Blackpool might be just about best.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Think King's was the best, great technique to hit it at that pace.
