Brighton - Pre Match

I expect an unchanged side - but wouldn't be surprised to see one of the centre mid two rested.

Think we will play with a lot of confidence and a bit of swagger. 4-0.

4-0 Leicester

Think the promotion will give all the players confidence. Might be hung over... But when I play on a Sunday morning hung over I tend to play better haha!

Not sure if we will rock up following a three day session and play with so much confidence we roll them over 3-1

Or

We rock up with a three day hangover and lose 0-2

I'll go with the former.

Craig Mackail-Smith reckons a trip to promoted Leicester will suit Albion better than a scrap at Barnsley as they bid to stretch their unbeaten record against the top three in the Championship.

The Seagulls are desperate for a result in the East Midlands tonight to revive their challenge for the play-offs after Saturday's 0-0 draw at Barnsley extended their winless sequence to five games.

Mackail-Smith, who returned from 13 months out injured as a late substitute in South Yorkshire, told The Argus: "I think it was harder going there, because they were desperate, so they were going to just kick it, head it, put tackles in.

"The pitch wasn't in great condition, so it was hard for us to play the game we wanted to play.

"Leicester will come out more at us. We'll have a nice pitch to play on and I think that will suit us a lot better. They will come out and attack us, which might leave spaces for our

Leicester's Danny Drinkwater 'is best midfielder in the Championship'

Leicester's Danny Drinkwater

Leicester City's promotion has been a fantastic team effortlb_icon1.png but Danny Drinkwater has been at the centre of it, said Brighton manager Oscar Garcia.

Garcia brings his play-off chasing Seagulls to the King Power Stadium tonight hoping to put a dampener on City's promotion party.

But he has warned his players they face the best team and the best midfielder in the Championship in Drinkwater. "They have showed they are, and have been, the best team in the league. That's why they will be playing in the Premier League," said Garcia, whose side sit five points outside the play-offs.

"Drinkwater, for me, is the best midfielder in the division. He can do everything – get into the box, create chances, defend – the quality and ability to do everything you need from a midfielder.

"They have been very strong in defence. It's so difficult to create chances against them.

"They have key players up front, on the flanks and also in midfield.

"They have threats up front, a lot of players who can play different styles, and they have showed a lot of determination. It's not easy to go unbeaten for 21 games. We have showed we can beat anyone and we'll try to do it again."

Despite clinching promotion at the weekend, Garcia rejects the idea that City will be taking it a little easier tonight.

"They have a strong squad and they want to be championslb_icon1.png now," he said. "I don't think they will relax.

"It won't be easy, because we are playing away and they are unbeaten in 21 games, but we have to show character and have a go.

"We have to believe that we can pick up a lot of points between now and the end of the season.

"It has been a difficult season in terms of injured players and a lot of things, but we mustn't give up. We have to keep going."

Defensive midfielder Rohan Ince could be back in contention after missing the draw at Barnsley with a dead leg.

lol

we're consistently inconsistent but not to THAT level.

Tonight will be interesting , as mentioned we're in a bit of poor form - a lot of that down to not taking our chances really , but seem to raise our game against the top sides

it's GOT to be better then the last couple of trips to KP hopefully.

Anyways congratulations , deserved and you WILL be champions - hopefully we can make you sweat on it a tad longer mind  :)

I think a win is important tonight just to keep the momentum we have going. We don't want to crash to defeat straight after winning promotion, especially infront of the large crowd that's being reported. Should be a bit more of an open game than Friday with Brighton still gunning for the play offs though. With promotion out of the way that should take some pressure off which means we should dispatch this lot tonight. Hoping for a big win.

it would just be typical for us to lose tonight and our unbeaten run would be inbetween defeats to Brighton. That being said im hoping the players will play with confidence and win comfortably. Fancy King to make the starting 11 tonight.

Play the same starting eleven that we fielded against Sheffield Wednesday.

My only hope is they're not too hung over from the weekend and have sobered up for this game. :D

We might witness a bit of a slow start until the starting eleven gets into gears. And just like with the Wednesday, the main motivation apart from wanting to win the title is to make amends for the loss at the AMEX in December.

I think we need to give Danny a rest tonight, he still looked shattered on Friday. Bring in Andy King for tonight!

Disagree, he has had 4 days to recover mate

Same team for me (that we played against Sheff Weds) against Brighton tonight.

I am going to go for a 2-1 City win. 1-1 at Half Time and with us having chance after chance and getting frustrated.

Nige brings on dyer for Knockaert and Lloydy gets the winner!
