Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 A great read. Interesting looking at our signings in 2013/14, yeah we spent loads of pound notes Mr Dyche.
Yastafox Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I think goals from all areas has really helped us too. Was thinking about this earlier and we could actually play a starting XI where all our players have scored a goal this season! (We know that was Kaspers goal really). An immense stat!
Fox92 Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 A great read. Interesting looking at our signings in 2013/14, yeah we spent loads of pound notes Mr Dyche. I never understand these comments, it's like people don't realise the different. Claridge has it spot on: Claridge: "He has filled in the gaps. A lot of the signings have been under the radar and there just hasn't been the hullabaloo that came with Sven, who was spending £5mhere and £3m there, A great article though. Nice to see good and accurate information published by such a big and reputational company.
Far Post Gerry Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Good read. Even The Observer had a few nice words to say about us today, and that doesn't often happen. Nice to see praise where it's due. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/apr/05/leicester-city-nigel-pearson-championship-play-offs
foxes_rule1978 Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 Glad to see they aren't saying we did it through spending loads because we didn't, well pointed out we got rid of those big money players, great read indeed.
LCCFox96 Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 That's a interesting read and an accurate representation of our success imo.
Dan Posted 6 April 2014 Posted 6 April 2014 I used to not rate Claridge but I really think he's a quality pundit these days. Speaks a hell of a lot of sense.
davieG Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Let's not forget.......... Conrad Logan’s Leicester City were promoted to the Premier League after a combination of results in the Championship on Saturday went in their favour. Leicester, who beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 on Friday with Ramelton native Logan the substitute goalkeeper, needed Queens Park Rangers to lose at Bournemouth and Derby to fail to win at Middlesbrough. Both fell, to respective 1-0 and 2-1 losses. In May 2013, former Swilly Rovers netminder Logan signed a contract extension to keep him at the King Power Stadium until 2015. He is Leicester’s longest-serving player and has spent time on loan at Stockport County, Luton Town, Bristol Rovers and Rotherham United.
TrentFox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 What sloppy journalism !!! How can they fail to spot that three of the biggest factors behind our success were a). Parking my car in the same spot for home games. b). Taking exactly the same route to AND from the ground each match, (now that IS attention to detail, NP, take note) and c). Entering the ground at my lucky numbered turnstile each week. I would have offered d). Wearing my lucky blue fleece, but we lost at Donny when I wore it, so I guess that no longer counts. Poor, BBC. Poor. Do your research!!!!

surrifox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 good thoughtful analysis by both Claridge and Stringer and agree with most of it. Contrast with the trite bo****ks spouted by Savage every Saturday . BBC - get rid

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 Nugent knockers please note. As well as being top goal scorer, he has made 13 assists. That says it all.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/26838116Great read tbf
purpleronnie Posted 7 April 2014 Posted 7 April 2014 When you see the list of managers we've had since we were relegated from the Premierhip it sends a shiver down my spine, thankfully we now settled and things have greatly improved.
