The Morning After The Night Before...

How are we all this morning folks? A little hungover, a little worse for the wear? Poor old Nige had to stay sober enough to do a live TV link at almost midnight, poor fellow (though he did sound a little more "merry" than usual.) It was certainly a momentous day yesterday, as NP said in his interview, I don't think most of us were really expecting the results to come together so sweetly yesterday - it was almost like turning on the news to find that flight ML370 had been found, all passengers alive and well, in Atlantis, where the undersea king Lord Lucan had rescued them.

Party, celebration, good times, woo hoo! :scarf: Shame that it couldn't have been at a game. Let's all blame Sky, I will.

And then it's the next day and we all realise that there's a job still to be done. There will be celebrations on Tuesday no doubt, and deservedly so, but we need to push on and win the title. It's a bit of a moot point with the way our competion are playing right now,  we might not need another point, but I'm beginning to believe that Alan Young is a prophet and that we will go the rest of the season unbeaten, which is no mean feat. Of course, if we do that, then there's a record points tally to look forward to. Oh please, please please!!! (Am I being greedy?)

I full expect City to push on and do the job, even though we haven't been the best the last few games. How often do you see (or used to see  ) Man U play poorly and win? It's the mark of champions that you don't know when to lose.

One great thing about the early promotion (and for me this will be the main thing) is that we can start making preperations for next season now, start discussions over contracts now, get the drop on talking to the best players for next season before anyone else, make plans for the stadium, the pitch, etc - it's all gravy!

Yet in the cold hard light of the next day I'm looking at the premiership with intrepidation and I'm thinking, "FoxesTalk is going to be a scary place next season." No doubt there will be unrealistic expectation, unfounded pessimism, trivial moaners, radical revisionists, lots of "I told you so", and much "IMO" (I hate that phrase! Never seen the point of, when I'm giving my opinion, pointing out that it's my opinion.) There will be the glory boys (watch Tigers attendences drop a little next season) too to contend with.

It's going to be awful! :(

NO IT'S NOT! IT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME! :scarf:

Top teams will be regularly visiting the KP and we'll be able to afford better players (though I wouldn't want to see wholesale changes, but we would need a bigger squad next season in any case) and reward the players who have done a brilliant job this season. I'm hoping that they all get at least one game next season so that they can proudly say to their grandkids in the future, "I was a Premiership footballer," they deserve that much at least. (Yes, I know they would be Premiership footballers just by being part of the the team, but it's not quite the same now is it?)

We're going to be on Match of the Day for the first time in 14 year! (Sadly the last time we were in the Prem it was the awful The Premiership that had the rights) Hopefully we can make Gary smile (instead of Manish).

I suspect too that we can look forward to yet another high profile pre-season friendly, given our newly acquired status.

Oh yeah and SCREW YOU FFP! :P

Just remember, we're going to lose a few games next season - just go easy on the players, they deserve to be given a chance.

Absolutely hanging. Dashed over to Leicester for an impromptu night out with 3 other City supporting mates and we're just coming back to life now. Totally worth it. Seemed to be hundreds of City fans out in town last night ),fvcking brilliant night.

In bed hungover but got a massive smile on my face, we are premier league and can't wait for next season to start. Hopefully the club will tie up some contracts and add some class over the summer...

Situation normal then. :D

I appear to have had such a good time that I left my voice in the pub. I can't speak.

Must've been all those renditions of "When you're smiling".

What a night haha
