DangerFox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Do you think we should improve the facilities for fans at the club? I do! I think it's poor. The majority of the ground only has your basic things. Tea, coffee, beer, pie, sweets, crisps... I hope next season they might upgrade these. After going to some away games to premier league clubs, eg. Man City, you can actually get proper meal deals etc. and they weren't that expensive neither. For instance, I had to rush home from work for an evening game, was starving, had to suffice with a pie at half time and then got caught up in traffic on Narboro Rd after. I just think it's an area we fail!
Voll Blau Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Jeez. Do people not eat before they go to football matches these days?
kingcarr21 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 It can improve massively by simply bringing back BALTI PIES
leicesterlad1989 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 For the love of god, do not mention food at football. You will be critised as a plastic fan who does not support your team and treats the football like the cinema! Edit: I like to point I don't eat at the ground so I can't comment on your question. I used like Balti pies though.
Wrighty22 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 It can improve massively by simply bringing back BALTI PIES I agree. Love a balti pie. Maybe also clean the pipes now and then. Just recently the beer has tasted like crap.
DangerFox Posted 14 April 2014 Author Posted 14 April 2014 How do you get known as a "plastic fan" for being hungry and getting something to eat at half time? Human beings, require 3 things in life, food, drink and football! ! Also balti pies! Yes please, they we're lovely!
Danizen Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Just one thing. Tear down those sponsorship sheets on the outside of the Family Stand. We are not Premier League while we still have that bollocks going on.
Bayfox Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Bring back the 2.50 hog roast and all will be right in the world. 2 off those from the back of sk1 at 2.45 at fibert st. Only food a football ground needs.
FrankieADZ Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 tend to avoid the food/drink inside the ground....as frankly....its crap(95% of the time)
AndWhat? Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Hot mulled wine on the terraces like in Germany. Voll Blau couldn't get enough of it
Wrighty22 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Educated people to work behind the counters. Pretty sure some of the people working there don't have a brain cell between them.

Only food a football ground needs. Now you're talking my language. The hog roast at Filbo was awesome! I never understand why the staff seem to be caught by surprise at half time when everyone comes down for a beer. It's like they look at each other and think "where the **** did this lot come from?"
cityfanlee23 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I wish they sold popcorn Oh yeah!!! Can you imagine when we score????? We'd have to employ another 70 cleaners!! haha
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Educated people to work behind the counters. Pretty sure some of the people working there don't have a brain cell between them. That isn't how the labour market works...
Fox92 Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I always get a pie because I've done it ever since I started going. It's expensive, yeah I agree. Especially compared to other grounds, where we are away fans.
AndWhat? Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I always get a pie because I've done it ever since I started going. It's expensive, yeah I agree. Especially compared to other grounds, where we are away fans. Nice story bro
Istilllovefilbert Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Do what i do. Six pints of stout at the Huntsman, a dirty Kebab at the Narborough Rd kebab house before u get to the ground. Then when u get to to stadium...watch the football??
DangerFox Posted 14 April 2014 Author Posted 14 April 2014 That's the other thing actually! They need more staff or as stipulated above, better staff! If McDonalds can train chimps to be generally quite quick then....... Again, when I was at the away Man City game a couple of seasons ago, the queues were quite short because they had more etc. why don't they split the stands a bar for beer, good area for food, snacks at another etc.
iancognito Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 1.) Get rid of all the current 'food' suppliers and bring in those guys who do the farmers market burgers outside the family stand, those things are like a cow in a bun - for £3 - not the re-heated, onionless, bendy burgers they have now - for £4. 2.) Make sure there's enough to go around and double the number of tills. Queueing for 20 minutes in a 23000 crowd is bad enough, when it's full it'll be a nightmare. 3.) The whole concourse area needs a proper tidyup and a paintjob. You expect the odd dropped wrapper or cup but it's a sh!thole after about 20 minutes some days. 4.) Bring the prices down. The corner shops near the groun sell bottles of coke etc for 85p, why are they £2 inside. It's a blatant rip-off. 5.) Far more choice needed than Burger/Hotdog/Pie, Kitkat/Mars/Snickers and Ready Salted/S&V/Cheese & Onion. 6.) A stairlift to the back rows. My knees aren't what they used to be.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 I can't see what the fuss is about when it comes to stadium facilities. Maybe its because by my blue blood was made at Filbo, where you were glad not to get something from going for a pee. Surely the only thing you need to worry about is how the team are going to do?

I was a "Filbo" person too. I went from the age of 4 or 5. But the days are different now, we have the ability to modernise things. For me, it's mainly about the football but I do enjoy something decent to eat.
