Salieri Posted 5 May 2014 Posted 5 May 2014 Would agree with that if it was anyone else but nobody would be surprised if at 15-12 Ronnie rattled off 3 frames in a row inside 20 minutes. Just needs to come to life and it can all change very quickly where he's concerned. He is capable without a doubt but just doesn't look on it at all in this last couple of sessions. He's normally so good at break building but just not scoring heavy when given the chance (first frame aside). He's not playing rash shots and giving it away like the Ronnie of old would have, but simply not playing anything like he can. His whole demeanour seems pretty flat, his mental coach has gotta earn his corn now in this interval!
kingfox Posted 5 May 2014 Author Posted 5 May 2014 This is brilliant match play Snooker, frustrating Ronnie, capitalising on mistakes & making 40-50 breaks which have been very key to the frames he has won. O'Sullivan rattled off that century, and Selby bounced back convincingly, he has Ronnie in his pocket at the minute. 3 more frames needed

More down to the way Selby is playing, just making it difficult for Ronnie everytime he comes to the table... must be the most frustrating player to play against. Keeps everything so tight

What makes Selby so tough is he doesn't need his 'A' game to be there to win matches, his B game is still impressive.
