Got mine earlier. I got through to "Sorry, there are no events", logged in and then clicked season tickets. I then got my option to choose my seat where I didn't get that option before.

What a load of crap

Finished at 12 yesterday, made a 2 hour journey to the KP arrived at 2. Got turned away and made a 2 hour journey home. Then I read later that day that people was allowed to queue.

Today I finished work as normal at 5. Got home and straight onto the laptop. Took me 2 hours to finally get onto lcfc direct. I've spent the last four hours trying to get past a spinning circle and actually select my seats. I've now given up and going to bed. Got a little crack at the bottom of my screen now too.

Annoying me so much.

I can understand the frustrations, but I suppose it appears it will be pretty easy for the club to sell the 7000 season tickets they want to.

Probably not worth the very painful exercise .of bringing in temp staff and hoping that they can get the hang of it, for just a three or four day exercise.

A bit of pain for the 7000 new ticket holders, but it looks like they have said - all hands on deck, let's just get through it.

Going into next season they will have around 7000 tickets to sell every game, which is only about what they have had to deal with this year, so everything will go back to normal.

A few days of pain for everyone and everything will be back to normal.

If anyone is trying to get an online ticket now - login (go to shop and login then Season tickets).  Straight through at the moment.  I use google chrome which only takes a minute or so to download as a browser.Still very decent seats left don't give up.

Finally got tickets for my Dad (flugelblue on here), his wife and my brother. Had to go online at 5:30 this morning. I'm jealous they will be able to watch the games. It's a bit far for me to come.

Anyone like to sum up the last 11 pages?

Here's a quick summing up:

"WHY NO DIRECT DEBIT ONLINE? ARGGGGH!"

"WHY NO MORE THAN FOUR PEOPLE ON PHONES? ARGGGH!"

"WHY CLOSE DOWN QUEUE AND THEN LET PEOPLE QUEUE LATER? ARGGGGH!"

"WHY PEOPLE GOING DOWN TO RENEW NOW INSTEAD OF NEXT WEEK? ARRRRGH!"

No, it's totally unacceptable.

The amount of time they have taken off people in the last few days due to their utter incompetence, inefficiency and lack of communication is just too much.  Do they understand most of us have jobs to do?

As someone pointed out on here before, most of the traffic should have been channelled via the website.  Not only has the website performed terribly, but the club have simply buried their heads in the sand about it.  There hasn't been a single communication about the status of the website, instead they are posting messages on twitter saying "come down to the KP and join the queue".

I am not expecting the club to spend a lot of time and money on selling season tickets, but I do expect them to take responsibility for their own website, and to provide some basic communication to the fans.  Wouldn't have taken 5 mins to post a simple message on the OS or twitter.

Anyone tried the phones this morning? I've got a season ticket, but managed to persuade my brother to get one (only 1 seat left next to me!). He wants to pay direct debit, but no way I can spend all day on the phone! I'm based in Oxfordshire so can't go to the TO :-(

Bosses at Leicester City have appealed to fans to be patient after a website and phone line set up to sell season tickets were unable to cope with demand.

City issued the appeal after some supporters took to Twitter, fans' forums and the official Leicester City Facebook page to complain about not being able to buy a ticket.

A club spokesman said: "Demand for these season tickets has been unprecedented."

The 7,000 season tickets on offer to new customers went on sale on Tuesday. By yesterday, more than 4,000 had been snapped up.

Fans had waited outside King Power Stadium from 9pm on Monday to make sure they were near the front of the queue.

At 3.30pm on Tuesday, some fans were asked to return the following day to enable the City Fanstore staff to finish dealing with customers by 8pm. Supporters were queuing outside the stadium again yesterday.

However, some fans who were unable to go to the stadium complained about not being able to complete purchasesicon1.png online or get through to the phone number set up to sell tickets.

Joe Whittaker posted on the club Facebook site yesterday: "Poor service! Wait four hours and get through to pay only for the server to crash! A Premier League team with a Sunday side website."

Scott Parker wrote on the same site: "This is very unfair on the working man and woman. How are we supposed to buy them?

"It's a shambles and the club should be ashamed. I have been trying on web and internet for last two days and all you get is 'busy, try again later'."

Quinners Vicki posted: "I've spent 12 hours in the internet queue and got through but then needed Adobe flash player updated so couldn't buy.

"Never had issues purchasingicon1.png tickets online before."

There were also many satisfied fans who had got through and bought a ticket.

Sue Bauer said: "It's bound to be busy. It's just like when concert ticketsicon1.png go on sale – the websites crash and you can't get through on the phone.

"This is no different. If you really want a ticket, it's worth the hassle."

Other fans who had been able to go to the King Power to buy tickets were also happy.

Jemma Hobbs, from the Abbey Lane area of Leicester, said she had queued for four-and-a-half hours for season tickets for her partner and their two sons.

She said: "I was happy to finally get the tickets. My other half is very, very happy.''

A club spokesman said: "The club would like to reassure fans it is aware of issues regarding supporters attempting to buy online and thanks them for their patience on this matter.

"These issues are down to the sheer weight of web traffic with thousands of supporters trying to purchaseicon1.png their tickets at the same time.

"The club is working closely with its website provider, See Tickets, to resolve the problems and ease the process for its supporters. To help with the demand, the City Fanstore will today stay open until 8pm and the sales centre until 7pm.

"Wherever possible, the club urges new applicants to head to the City Fanstore at King Power Stadium.

"While season tickets for new applicants are selling fast, existing season ticket holders have until 6pm on Monday, June 2 to renew their seats."
